Waikoloa Village condo description
With all of the options of places to stay on the Big Island, why choose my condo? Here are a few reasons:
1. Spectacular Views! Instead of a peak-a-boo view, this 3 bedroom, 3 bath corner condo features a totally unobstructed Ocean, Mtn, and Sunset Views, and the Coastline all the way to Kona.
2. Location is superb, one of the first exits at Waikoloa Village for easy and fast in and out. Great central location near all of the best sandy beaches on the Big Island.
3. The weather is superb. With only 12 inches of annual rainfall and common tradewinds, it tends to stay clear, warm and dry.
4. Rates as low as $99 per night (30 day stay, low season) for a fully furnished, privately owned, large 3 bedroom, 3 bath condominium with these amenities and views.
From the moment you set foot in this 3 bedroom, 3 bath, 1300 square foot Condominium, you will be immersed in the “Aloha Spirit”. This corner unit at Waikoloa Greens truly has one of the best layouts I have ever seen. This condo has many upgrades including Brazilian Cherry wood laminate flooring in all of the bedrooms and throughout the upstairs. The living room is laminate flooring as well. Tile flooring appoints the baths and kitchen. Beautiful granite kitchen counters and stainless steel appliances. Many more upgrades as well.
Each Bedroom has it’s own bath, ceiling fan and sliding glass door out to it’s own lanai. The kitchen and living room (with bay window and ceiling fan) and master bedroom have stunning views of the ocean, Hualalai Mountain and beautiful tropical sunsets. It is decorated throughout with Hawaiian furnishings, rattan furniture and Hawaiian photos. The living room is appointed with a tv, surround sound, stereo and cd player. Wireless Internet and cable tv are also provided . There are also tvs in both the master bedroom and the queen bedroom.
The condo is well equipped with washer/dryer, beach towels, cooler, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. The beautifully remodeled kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with dishes, microwave, toaster oven, blender, cooking utensils and everything you will need to prepare meals if you so choose on your vacation.
There is a king bed in the master, a queen in the second bedroom and a twin trundle bed, that makes into a king in the third bedroom which doubles as an office/den.
There are abundant bbqs on site and a very nice heated pool and hot tub that were just redone. Tennis courts, play ground facilites and exercise facility 100’ away. There is also another pool, tennis courts and more for your use nearby.
Location, Location, Location:
Overlooking the Kohala Coast, Waikoloa Village is in a perfect location from which to launch your exploration of the Big Island. We are fortunate to experience some of the best weather on the island. Rarely do we experience the vog that sometimes plagues other parts of the island. The weather is in the 80's Fahrenheit year round during the day, and around 70 Fahrenheit at night, which makes it warm during the day and cool enough at night to sleep. Tropical tradewinds are the norm. See link to current weather below.
Restaurants, sightseeing and shopping:
You are located a short stroll from the Waikoloa Village featuring a large grocery store complete with fresh butcher, deli and bakery, a bank, health food store, restaurants, bars and other shops for your convenience.
Banji's Bar and Grill is a short walk with great food and a generous happy hour.
There are over 20 other restaurants located in the Waikoloa Beach area including Roy’s, Merriman’s, Buzz’s Sand Trap, the Sansai Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar and many more. The Dolphin Quest at the Hilton Waikoloa Beach area is also about 10 minutes away with it's restaurants and shopping.
You can experience world class shopping at the King and Queens shops of Waikoloa. 15-20 minutes North of Waikoloa is a town called Waimea, or Kamuela, which is home to world famous restaurants, such as Merriman's and Daniel Thiebauts, as well as being home to the famous Parker Ranch Paniolos (Hawaiian Cowboys).
Kona town is a 30 minute drive to the South, where you will find the Kona Brewery, The Kona Inn, Huggos by the Sea and many other fine restaurants and plenty of shops. Costco is located between Kona and the airport.
You are also just a short drive to catch Saddle Road which will take you to the Hilo side where you can check out Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, Waipi’o Valley and many other sights and waterfalls along the Hamakua Coast. You are also a 2 hour scenic drive from the Mauna Kea Summit and observatories, or the same distance from Kilauea, Hawaii’s live volcano.
Waikoloa Village Golf Course is your backyard. It is a par 72. It plays to 6,791 yards and is situated at the 1,000 ft elevation overlooking the beautiful Kohala Coast. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and as our guest you will receive discounted green fees. Many other exceptional courses await you nearby.
There are many places to snorkel including 69s Beach or any of the access points along Puako Road which is a short drive away. However if you want outstanding snorkeling, Kahaluu Bay awaits you, which is 7 miles south of Kona. (about a 35 minute drive) Here you will see large numbers of very friendly, colorful fish, and lots of Green Sea Turtles. (you don’t even have to get into the water to see the turtles, just look in the tide pools and on the rocks) If you want the very best, either Kayak or take a snorkel cruise to Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cook’s Monument). It is the very best snorkeling I have experienced in the Islands with over 100 feet of visibility. Honaunau Bay (Place of Refuge) is also nearby.
Nearly all of the best sandy beaches on the Big Island, are along the Kohala Coast including Hapuna, 69s, Spencer, A- Bay, Mauna Kea, Kua Bay and many more

This condo was great! We spent the first half of our vacation here exploring the West and North side of the island. Waking up to the panoramic view every morning was amazing. Gary's condo descriptions and photos are very accurate. All was clean and we did not want for anything. Packing up our lunch, taking his beach gear and exploring the local beaches and snorkeling was a favorite thing to do. Spent time in Kona. Sea Quest snorkel trip and night Manta Ray snorkeling are highlights. Loved Lava Lava Beach Club, had a great night at Banjy's, and of course Huggo's on the Rocks in Kona is fun. Great base to explore. I would recommend this property to friends and we hope to return one day. Thanks Gary!

Great views, and perfect pool!
Great views, and perfect pool!
Tons of space, very well equipped and the pool area is really beautiful and very quiet. This is a great place to stay with a short drive to beaches, but a nice quiet relaxing neighborhood to go back to after a day in the sun and surf. The layout is very nice with 3 separate, private bed and bathrooms - this is a nice large condo to stay in, with great views of the sunset!

Great Place To Stay!
Great Place To Stay!
Just got back a week ago and wished we were still there! The condo worked out perfectly for our family of 6, it was very clean and well maintained (loved the 3 bathrooms). The location of the unit worked out well for both the beaches and exploring other areas of the island. It was great to have the Waikaloa Village Market just a minute drive by car or a 10 minute walk. We loved sitting out on the Lanai in the morning and evening, looking at the ocean and also watching all the different species of birds including the wild turkeys. It was so nice to have the boogie boards, beach chairs and coolers that are provided to use on the beach. We had a wonderful time and Gary was very quick to answer any questions we had before we left for our trip. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone wishing to have a well priced, clean and nicely furnished condo to stay in while exploring the diverse and beautiful island of Hawaii. Mahalo Gary, this trip was very important and special to our family and having your place to stay in added to our comfort and relaxation. We would love to come back in the future! Aloha...Keri

Gary has been one of the best owners I have dealt with on VRBO. I have rented numerous properties with VRBO. He was always prompt in responding to any questions I had. He sent me a travel book about the Big Island of Hawaii which I thought was very generous! We left the book when we departed and it was an invaluable guide for the island. The condo was very user friendly and had everything you would need. We especially appreciated the two small coolers with ice packs in the freezer. We used them almost every day on our day trips around the island. We loved the turkeys that woke us every morning and the view was spectacular!! I would recommend this condo to a family group or a group of friends. There were five of us and we all had our own bathroom. The condo was very clean and well taken care of. Mahalo to Gary!

Great home base for Hawaii vacation
Great home base for Hawaii vacation
We were delighted to be able to stay in this condo - As advertised, it has great mountain and ocean views, is nicely furnished with well equipped kitchen and lots of beach gear and is clean and well kept up. The location is great - 10 minutes to great beaches and 2 minutes to groceries. It's also a great home base for exploring other parts of the island. The owner was helpful in anwering questions and easy to work with.

Rencher family christmas 2012/13
We have to thank Gary for helping make our family christmas fantastic. We had 5 adults in the condo and were all very comfortable. We left the condo in the morning and explored the island from this central location. Easy access to Saddle road, Hawi, Hilo, and the volcano. Spent many a day at A Bay and Hapuna, and trips to Kona were easy. We could walk to the grocery store, golf course and Banjy's restaurant. The property is well maintained, loved Monday nights with Auntie Tutu. At the end of a busy day we came back to our Waikoloa Village condo to enjoy the amazing sunset with a well deserved cocktail. We will return to the village for another vacation, thanks you Gary.

We enjoyed staying in this very clean, dry, and picturesque unit. The sunsets were gorgeous. We had six people stay comfortably here. The price is right and the accommodations were better than described. The owner was very responsive and the office staff were very friendly and helpful. We ventured to the Mauna Kea observatory visitor center for star gazing and had many enjoyable snorkeling trips from nearby beaches. We even observed beautiful manta rays from the Mauna Kea Beach Motel. We would recommend this unit and will visit again in the future. Mahalo.

The description and photos of the condo are very accurate. The property was clean and well-maintained and Gary was always prompt to respond to my email questions. I would highly recommend this property. This was my second time on the Big Island and each time we have stayed at Waikoloa Village. My wife and I had stayed at a two bedroom condo at Paniolo Greens in 2010 and loved staying at the Village. This time we wanted to treat our two adult children and their spouses and sought a three bedroom condo in the Village. Gary's condo fit our needs very well. The two upstairs bedrooms are quite spacious, the lower office/bedroom less so, but still comfortable. (Last minute circumstances prevented my wife from traveling, so I occupied the smaller bedroom and found it very suitable.) We cooked most of our meals in the condo and found the kitchen easy to work in and well stocked for our purposes. The living room/dining room offered ample room for our family gatherings. I wish the lanai was larger for that purpose, but we utilized it well. As Gary indicated, the view of the ocean from the lanai is great. We never used the swimming pool, clubhouse or any other of the available facilities because we were too busy enjoying what the Island has to offer. My wife and I like staying at Waikoloa Village for several reasons: It offers a more tranquil setting than the Kona area; Village properties are more reasonably priced than beach properties, and besides, we like to visit different beaches and not be confined to just one; it offers a relatively convenient route via Saddle Road to the East side of the Island; and, it really is just minutes from Kona-side beaches. Unless you are a person who has to stay on a beach property and a 4 star resort, you will not be disappointed staying at Gary's condo.

This property was all and more that we thought it would be. Great quiet location and a little out of the way but we enjoyed that about it as was a short 8 minute drive to the resorts and many fantastic beaches and great places to eat. Just up the street from this complex is a wonderful coffee place where they serve home made breakfasts, lunches, etc. and great coffee. A great way to end your morning walk. The golf course is right there and has some amazing views. It took us about 30 minutes to get to Kona so wasn't too far away and there is so much to do there. Found this to be the sunny side of the island and the weather was always warm and beautiful and the trade winds helped to keep things cool. The layout of the condo is great with a good sized kitchen, living room with awesome views of the sunsets, two large bedrooms up with their own bathrooms, insuite laundry, main floor den with a day bed and has everything supplied that you would need. Would work very well for 4-5 adults as it's very spacious. It certainly is a home away from home and can't wait to go back.

About the owner: We have been traveling to Hawaii for many Years. It truly was love at first sight. We live in Washington State, so for us it is all about the glorious warm weather and beautiful azure water that is the perfect temperature year round
Why the Owner Chose Waikoloa Village:
I have literally been wanting to buy something in Hawaii from our first trip, but never quite found the right place until 2011. From the moment I set foot in this unit, I knew it was the right one. It is bright and sunny from literally sun up until sunset, and you get to enjoy both from any of the four lanais. It is located in Waikoloa which is known for its tradewinds that keep it a comfortable temperature night or day, year round. It is completely furnished in Hawaiin furnishings to immerse you in the Aloha Spirit from the time you enter until the time you leave.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
To put the weather in perspective, when they build here in Waikoloa Village, they have no need for a heating system, most do not have any need for air conditioning and they do not use insulation. Now this is where God intended us to live! We love to bbq and enjoy the beautiful sunsets from our condo. From that first sip of Kona coffee enjoying the glorious morning sunshine on one of the East Lanais, to the last rays of golden sun setting on the vast Pacific Ocean while enjoying your pauhana drink on one of the West Lanais, you will know why we love it here so much. Snorkeling, swimming, golf, shopping, sightseeing , or just being a beach bum are just a few of things to do, all nearby, while staying at our condo.
