This peaceful retreat has a bedroom loft with a queen bed, and there is a Day Bed in the Living Room. Relax in the comfort of Egyptian Cotton Linens.
This kitchen has everything you need – a bread-maker, a coffee maker, a blender, a toaster, dishware, cookware, & utensils. There is WIFI, a flat-screen TV with a Blu-ray DVD player, and a phone (for local calls only). Soak your cares away in the four-person hot tub under the stars.
There are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy nature – a screened-in porch with a wrought iron table set, a deck with four rocking chairs, and a flagstone patio with a grill & seating. The front porch is made of wide-planed pine boards (18”).

The property management company was slow in response initially to the point we almost just canceled the reservation before it finalized. The listing says 4 wheel drive but that is an UNDER STATEMENT. My wife has an all wheel drive BMW that would NEVER make it up this long, rocky, brush covered 4 wheeler path they call a road. If you choose this cabin make sure you have a TRUCK of some kind and make sure you don't care about getting it scratched up. The path has briars and excessive bushes hanging into the driving lane and I scratched the side of my BRAND new 2011 F150 in which the property management company basically told me "its your problem, there is nothing we can do about it" The cabin itself is adorable. We actually like the place a lot. Would be nice to have a TV in the master loft but other than that it was very quaint and peaceful. If you can stand the, what seems like a 10 mile rocky dirt path (not road) up a mountain, the cabin is nice and great for a couple.
Owner response:Unfortunately we can't make everyone happy. Out of 32 different guest in 6 months everyone else has loved the cabin and enjoyed the adventure of driving to the cabin without incident. I drive my husbands 2500 Duramax Heavy Duty Chevy (bigger than a F150) truck and have never scratched his truck. The cleaning girl drives a brand new black all-wheel drive Kia and has never scratched her vehicle or had a problem getting to the cabin. Please check out all of our other reviews and come see for yourself what a great place it is. We also refunded him all of his money.

log gap cabin was just what we were looking for...cozy, romantic and secluded. the owner and agent were at our beck and call (we had a few issues, mostly of our own making) and did all they could to make this getaway everything we were hoping for. and yes, a four wheel drive is a plus...this place is "up there"....which is exactly what we wanted.

Perfect for a girls weekend away. We thoroughly enjoyed the private, secluded cabin. It had everything we needed--especially the hot tub. Would definitely stay again. There was plenty of wood cut for us to use in the fireplace.

This cabin was everything I was looking for. It has a rustic feel, but also includes all the extras! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. I made 3 loaves of bread with the bread maker! My husband and I rented the cabin for our 3rd anniversary and it was the perfect size for us. We also loved the wood burning fireplace and hot tub. The cabin is in a great location by being just outside of all the tourist places but also within a short drive (15 miles) to Asheville. Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and Black Mtn. are not far away either. We are avid cyclists and there was plenty of fun and challenging routes for our road bikes as well as great mtn biking at the Bent Creek trails. We can't wait to go back!!!

My wife and I spent a great weekend at Log Gap - the cabin is beautiful, fully restored, and such a fantastic retreat - you will be so happy you rented this property! Located about thirty minutes from downtown Asheville and ten minutes up a gravel drive (believe it or not, it does show up on your GPS) you will need at least an AWD car with some ground clearance to get there (we have a Subaru Outback and made it with no problem) - the ride is worth it! Secluded and quiet, with all conveniences that you could ask for (hot tub, flat screen TV, wireless internet, great kitchen, awesome shower with plenty of hot water, etc). We will happily head back there next time we are in town!

My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend. The cabin was amazing! It was secluded and so relaxing! The ammenities in the cabin were also fantastic! The cabin is very close to the things that we wanted to do such as Biltmore and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Four wheel drive is a must in order to get up the hill but when you finally reach the cabin it is all worth it! We also met the owner who was very nice and gracious enough to bring us fire wood for the fire place since we had some chilly nights. We had an amazing experience here and we would love to do it again!

This cabin was actually better in person than in the photo's. Four wheel drive is definitely a must, but that just makes it that much better. Everything was top of the line, even the plates were fiesta ware. Very quiet and romantic. 20 minutes to anything you want to do, downtown, Biltmore, Chimney Rock. We would absolutely go again.

A wonderful escape into complete relaxation. The cabin is very nicely appointed with all the amenities needed. The screened in porch is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal or curl up with a good book. The cabin was close to Asheville and all the nearby attractions. Four wheel drive is a must! The owner was extremely helpful. We definitely recommend this listing and look foward to returning!

Close enough to the attractions of Asheville yet secluded enough to escape. The cabin is newly refurbished, has all the amenities and is the ideal spot to relax; satellite TV and internet if you need it. The large porch is the place to eat breakfast or read a book, I spent an excellent few days there and would go back tomorrow. The access road is an adventure but well worth it. Book it before I do.
Owner response:Thanks Mike I'm glad you enjoyed the cabin. We look forward to your next visit. Thanks, Jenny
