Our newly built and completely renovated western-style lodge rests just feet from the banks of the Mission Creek, a sparkling stream with an uncanny number of cutthrout, rainbow and brown trout. Not only so, but these accommodations are surrounded by 4,500 private acres on the Mission Ranch (a working cattle ranch since 1949) with exclusive views of the majestic Absaroka Mountains, as well as a spring creek fishery, 3 miles of premium fly-fishing on the Yellowstone River and 8 miles of Mission Creek. We can host up to 14 people for vacations, reunions, retreats and we can host larger groups for weddings and corporate events.

With over 4,000 square feet, the Mission Ranch Lodge offers 5 uniquely designed and decorated rooms that reflect our ranching heritage as well as the rich history of our area. Each room is spacious and has it's own private bathroom. Our large fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare and enjoy your meals. You may gather together for your meals at our custom built dining table with stunning views of the Absaroka Mountains or you may prefer our covered porch dining table overlooking Mission Creek. In addition, the lodge also has a large spacious living room with gas fireplace, two additional sitting areas with flat screen TV's, laundry facilities with an extra refrigerator, and a two-car garage.

As mentioned, our 5 spacious bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have their own private bathrooms.

THE MISSION CREEK MASTER SUITE – The only room on the west side of the Lodge for maximum privacy. Overlooks the Mission Creek, private entrance to the porch, king size bed, and large master bathroom, which includes a stand-alone shower, vanity with 2 sinks, Jacuzzi tub, and walk-in closet.

THE YELLOWSTONE ROOM - Honors the many world-famous trout fisheries nearby and the fisherman who are drawn to them. Twin beds, private bath, and views of Sheep Mountain.

THE W QUARTER CIRCLE ROOM - Bears the Ranch’s own W Quarter Circle brand, which is used on our stock at the Mission Ranch. The western motif honors the pioneer spirit of our grandfather, Almon Walborn, who purchased the ranch in 1948. Queen bed, private bath, and views of the Absaroka Mountains.

THE FORT PARKER ROOM - Decorated in a Native American theme to honor the Crow Indians who used to live here. Fort Parker, the first Crow Indian Agency, resided on our land from 1869 to 1875. Queen bed, small private bath, and views of the cottonwood trees along Mission Creek.

THE LEWIS AND CLARK SUITE - This large suite honors the undaunted explorers who traveled through Montana two centuries ago. According to local legend, Capt. Clark camped near our Yellowstone River bottoms on his return trip to the East, where he allegedly carved canoes out of several of our cottonwood trees. Very spacious with a queen bed, two twins, pull-out sofa, trundle bed, and a seating area with a flat screen TV and satellite on demand. Incredible views of the Absaroka Mountains.

Guests of the Mission Ranch Lodge will have exclusive access to our 4,500 acres and can enjoy a variety of activities on the ranch, including fishing, hunting, bird watching, nature hikes, camping, ranch tours and more.

Flowing right through the Mission Ranch is the Yellowstone River (the longest free-flowing river in the contiguous United States), Mission Creek, and our own private natural Spring Creek Fishery--all teeming with prize-winning brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout.

YELLOWSTONE RIVER
Guests will enjoy 3 miles of exclusive Yellowstone River frontage with excellent wade fishing throughout the property. Simply sit back, relax, and wait for the trout to rise.

LENGTH OF ACCESS – 3 miles
RODS/DAY – 10 (exclusive to Lodge guests)
FEE – free to Lodge guests
DIFFICULTY – Moderate
TERRAIN – A fast flowing river with deep pockets and shallow rocky areas; Great place to practice casting and improve skills while looking for a fish of a lifetime.

MISSION CREEK
The Mission Creek runs parallel to Mission Creek Road and offers 8 miles of exclusive premium fly-fishing for up to ten rods/day. For those with the right skills, the creek boasts beautiful, prize-winning trout. But be warned: the terrain is tricky. Only the more advanced fishermen prevail.

LENGTH OF ACCESS – 8 miles
RODS/DAY – 10
FEE - free to Lodge guests
DIFFICULTY – Advanced
TERRAIN – Foliage, overgrowth, and tall trees make casting difficult. For best results, avoid banks and simply fish from the middle of the creek.

SPRING CREEK FISHERY
Our ¾ mile natural spring creek fishery has been developed and fenced and is capable of handling 4 rods/day. Prize trout lurk in the pools of this pristine spring creek, but they may see you coming. This very technical fishing spot requires long leaders and light tippet.

LENGTH OF ACCESS – ¾ miles
RODS/DAY – 4
FEE - free to Lodge guests
DIFFICULTY – Challenging
TERRAIN – Open and easily traversable; mossy areas; slow moving water in places

Not only is the fishing fantasic on our ranch, so is the hunting. The Mission Ranch Lodge offers exclusive access to our 4,500-acre cattle ranch for trophy white tail deer, antelope, and migratory waterfowl hunting. We also work with hunting guides to offer big game hunting trips for those interested in bringing home a trophy.

The Mission Ranch Lodge is the perfect get away for visitors who want to experience a truly authentic Montana vacation while enjoying modern, upscale, western accommodations.

The lodge is beautifully designed and furnished; and is stocked with everything you might imagine using during your stay. The grounds and creek just outside make the perfect, peaceful setting. I would highly recommend the lodge to anyone staying in the Livingston area.

Our family was absolutely delighted with this home and its surrounding land and creek and river. It was perfect. I miss sleeping to the sound of Mission Creek now......so totally relaxing. The photos while accurate and representative, don't give the scale of the very large and well stocked kitchen nor the general large scale of all the public areas. We were so comfortable and happy. Darcy and Zena and Zack were very accommodating and we felt fortunate to meet them and enjoy some time together. We enjoyed the fly fishing, hiking, creek exploration, access to Livingston and it's activities, and the 2nd Street Bistro when we dined out. It's fabulous. We also could make a day trip to Yellowstone Park. We have highly reccommended this property to friends already.

Some old friends and I were looking something other than the local motels to spend a fishing, catching up and relaxing vacation. We thought we had a pretty good idea what Mission Ranch was like when we booked it. Well, we were completely wrong. I have been fortunate enough to see a little bit of the world at the end of a fishing rod. Mission Ranch is the most beautiful, comfortable and accommodating lodgings I have seen. If you are ready to take your accommodations to the next level this is the place. The owner and the ranch staff go over the top for everything.

A lovely facility with every possible convenience. Loads of room and best of all we had the entire Lodge to ourselves. Every place we looked you found wonderful surprises. The kitchen had every utensil, pot, and pan you could ever need. Absolutely nothing was missing. The property was beautifully maintained. Unfortunately, the Spring Creek was badly overgrown with weeds but there were miles of great fisheries in the vicinity. Very convenient to Yellowstone National Park, the Madison, and the Yellowstone river. We had a lovely evening with the Lowes at a local restaurant which made our visit even more special. My wife and I have stayed at many fishing destinations and very few if any could surpass this spectacular lodge. You should really plan to purchase some of the wonderful Mission Creek Ranch Angus Beef.

Wow! What a hidden gem. This lodge just opened! We were the second guests to stay. 5 beautiful rooms with mountain views, the "master suite" was the best, with the windows open the sound of Mission Creek lulled us to sleep. The fishing was incredible with several nice holes at the bottom of the lush green lawn! This was a great family get-a-way for us and we will definitely come back next summer. The Ranch was awe inspiring and in the meadows there were White Tail Deer, Bald Eagles, gophers, pelicans, geese, ducks, a complete see them wild zoo! I can't believe this place is still available for August and September - someone is going to get a steal at these rates. Finally, the complementary beef from, Mission Ranch Beef, was the tastiest I've ever had. We ended up buying two boxes, a 1/4 beef I think. That too was one of the surprising values. Plus they shipped it for us:) This is an A++++++ place, don't miss it.
