This is the ideal and utterly charming vacation getaway for a couple, family or business group. Located on beautiful Howard Street, we affectionately call it "Howard's End."
Our sunny casita welcomes you on a beautiful and quiet residential street just blocks from the Marina. Unrestricted parking. Open living room and dining area with skylights and hardwood floors. The spotless and airy kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities, perfect for preparing fresh organic produce from one of the many local farmer’s markets in the area. Enjoy breakfast on our front balconette, and lunch or dinner al fresco on our backyard terrace where everyone can comfortably gather around the table.
Howard's End also includes widescreen HD premium cable TV and high-speed broadband internet and Wi-Fi. Both bedroom’s feature queen-size beds looking out into the backyard gardens, with the master bedroom’s French doors opening up onto a lovely Mediterranean patio that leads to our backyard terrace. There are two full bathrooms adjacent to each bedroom. Our den offers a comfortable desk and working area, with a sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two, with another queen-size sofa bed in the living room.
We’re just a short stroll to the surf and sands of Venice beach where you can bike, swim, skateboard, explore, shop and dine casually or elegantly, and the famous Venice Pier and the Venice Canals are just a 7-minute walk down the street. Just three blocks away is the exceptional Abbott Kinney Blvd. known for its charming boutiques, antique stores, fine restaurants and shopping. There are literally dozens of fine restaurants, cafes and coffee shops in our very walkable – a gastronome’s delight!
We also offer complimentary bicycles for our guests' use to explore this vibrant and colorful "little pocket of paradise."

About the owner: Ross, the owner, is a Czech-born citizen of the US whose interests include gardening, cinema and gourmet cooking (incredible soups!). James, the manager, is a Harvard-educated journalist, author and filmmaker whose hobbies include piano playing, Shakespeare, traveling, all things Italian and shooting his documentary series, “The Film Villages of Italy.” James also owns properties up the street (#308038, #172932 and #195972 on VRBO) Between us we speak English, Czech and Italian fluently, and operational French and German. With over 20 years experience living in Los Angeles, we also serve as your complementary “concierges” to Southern California and can give you helpful tips for planning your Southern California vacation – including where to park, best strategies for surviving LA traffic, favorite restaurants and best hidden “attractions” that natives know and tourists might miss.
Why the Owner Chose Venice Beach: The casita is in the wonderful "golden triangle" district of Venice/Marina del Rey and is extremely convenient to all beach area attractions: Abbott Kinney, Venice Beach and the Venice Canals, the freeways, and the Santa Monica Pier and Promenade.
