  My husband and I rented old palm for the month of July (2012). It met all of our expectations and more. It was a beautiful property with lush trees and beautiful flowers. We did not even see any neighbors for the first few weeks we were there! It was like we were on our own tropical island. The house itself is even bigger than it appears online. Bill has thought of everything that you might need to make you stay enjoyable. The house is tastefully decorated but comfortable enough to make you feel at home right away! We have stayed in four other properties, and this property is our favorite. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with beautiful sunrises and many opportunities to enjoy wildlife, this property and the Sebastian area is for you. I look forward to renting from Bill again in the future! Thanks again, Cathy and Brian

  Het verblijf in de "old Palm" was ontspannend . Het ontbijt op het terras met zicht op de kleine eindlandjes was paradijselijk . Zeker aan te raden voor europeese bezoekers aan Florida. Orlanda , Space Center is een groot uur rijden. En Trip naar Miami is goed voor 3 uur rijden. Laat je niet afschrikken door de afstand, Florida is geen Amsterdam of Brussel waar je uren in de file sta . Kort samengevat. Het Verblijf in old Palm is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar; Rustig , ontspannend . Met de goeie internetverbinding die we daar hadden, waren we ook dicht bij. The stay in the "old Palm" was relaxing. The breakfast on the terrace overlooking the small lands end was paradise. Especially recommended for european visitors to Florida. Orlanda, Space Center is a great hour. Trip to Miami is good for 3 hours. Do not be daunted by the distance, Florida is no Amsterdam or Brussels, where you spend hours in traffic jam. Summarized. The Stay in Old Palm is worth repeating; Quiet, relaxing. With good Internet connection that we had, we were also close at home Paul de Lessine Belgium

  My husband's family all met in Sebastian for a fishing getaway weekend. I had never been to the area before and I was NOT disappointed. This home is gorgeous and the owner couldn't have been nicer and more accomodating. I was more than pleased with the home, furnishings, kitchen equipment and all. Everything is 1st class!! We spent alot of time on the enormous screened porch overlooking the water and the moonlit evenings. All you need is your clothes and food. Everything else is provided...and I mean everything! You will not be disappointed! We will definitely be back!

  My family stayed at Old Palm the end of July 2011. We just loved the house and the town. The view of the Indian River from the house is just breathtaking with the mullet jumping, birds fishing and dolphin swimming by. Sitting on the screened in lanai is relaxing and peaceful. There are several waterfront restaurants in town and plenty of easy going night life. We discovered a wonderful beach at the Sebastian Inlet State Park-calm waters for swimming and floating, rocks for some snorkeling, dolphins swimming in the channel just feet away and most amazingly manatees coming right into the tidal cove to swim with us! It was magical! The owner left a very helpful binder of information about the house and area. We LOVED our stay at Old Palm and can't wait to go again.

  Old Palm is a wonderful home and property. The location is secluded, natural, quiet, and serene. Often the only sounds that can be heard are the gentle waves lapping at the water's edge and the resident peacocks (The owner says "look, enjoy, but don't feed!). It was a delight to see dolphins, jumping mullets, great blue herons, Ibis, and a bald eagle - all in the back yard from inside a spacious screened porch! This home provides a great balance of being away from it all while also being close to many activities. In our week at this home we enjoyed fishing, trips to the beach, a wonderful boat tour with much education about this area's natural and human wonders (who knew that Arlo Guthrie just moved to Sebastian?), many great restaurants (sea food, Italian, Mexican, and tiki bars on the water), and hikes in wildlife conservation areas. To our surprise, Sebastian has quite the night life on the weekends as well. The home itself is large, gracious and relaxed. The electronics provide plenty of entertainment if you have time to enjoy them. I can't think of any amenities that were not provided, including a VERY well stocked kitchen, many condiments and spices, and even a nice bottle of wine provided by the owner, who obviously takes pride in this property and the satisfaction of it's guests. Bill (the owner) made it a point to meet us on arrival and answer any questions we might have had and he was available by telephone during our stay. If you are looking for lots of space, relaxation, a place to gather or entertain, and a variety of interesting activities for the more ambitious members of your group, this is the place for you. I would return in a heartbeat!!

  Our time in your lovely home was just fabulous. To wake up in the morning on the edge of the water watching the sunrise, the dolphin, and viewing the peacocks was something I'll never forget. The house was immaculate with brand new furnishings. It was obvious a designer had been involved. The kitchen was fully outfitted with everything you might need. It's a little bit of paradise. Fresh produce, walking distance down the street, fresh seafood minutes away at the Indian River Seafood store. We loved our kayak trip to the islands less than 200 yards offshore to explore and relax. Sebastian was a fun location with many great restaurants to enjoy. Our favorite was Chill and Grill and the music on Sunday at Earl's was top notch! All very casual and friendly. The owners were very helpful and supplied a book filled with things to do in the area. We'll be back! I highly recommend this rental .
