  The apartment at the Duomo is exactly what you see in the pictures. Every detail to decorating and providing a comfortable space has been done to the apartment. The beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious and very modern. The location of this apartment is perfect, so close to everything in Florence, easy to walk everywhere, yet be able to go back for lunch, change of clothes, etc. Ron the owner is very helpful when making the reservation and Luca was wonderful when checking into the apartment. He was very thorough when showing us the around and was easily available later for additional questions. DO NOT be afraid of the stairs. They are wide and easy to climb. There are a number of landings that are easy to take a break on. They are worth the climb to this wonderful apartment. On our next trip to Florence, this will be the only apartment we will consider staying at. Highly recommend this for space for families, couples, singles as the space is designed for multiple sleeping arrangements. We cannot say enough good things about this apartment - amenities, location and comfort.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

  Wow - what a great place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and it was much due to our incredible accomodations - we must have commented on every day of our trip how conveniently located we were to everything or how comfortable and nice the apartment was at the end of a long day of walking.   This is a great apartment- beautifully furnished, high contemporary design in this grand old building right next to the Duomo. Absolutely best location . The apartment 's pictures are really true....it is just handsomely furnished, lovely colors, details, accessories, and interesting original art. There is a festive lightness to it with masks, and brightness of ambiance. It is spotless and feels brand new. The manager , Luca, is excellent and so friendly with greeting us upon arrival, explaining how things worked, and giving us recommendations for places to eat. P,us he remains available if you need anything. The owner has provided a really nice resource book with cards for restaurants, good shopping places etc. The kitchen has everything you need, is beautifully finished with stainless steel and granite counter - top of the line. There are two bedrooms with lovely linen, beautiful bathrooms, cozy living room with fireplace . And a washing machine- which really helps when being gone awhile. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The steps are a little hike, but it is so worth it to return each day to your own very cozy retreat from the bustle of the city or a long day of sightseeing. After staying in a number of apartments in Rome, Venice, hotels in Verona and Milan, none of them compare. We really enjoyed--- this is a wonderful place.

  We were 4 ladies and found the apartment to be absolutely beautiful. The pictures did not do it justice. The location could not have been better. We were able to walk everywhere. Lucca explained everything in great detail and was very accommodating. The only down side was the stairs to the apartment. There is no elevator and the apartment is on the top floor. Getting the luggage up those stairs was not for the weak.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

  Owner response: Unfortunately this is from the same guests as the prior review - they were well aware prior to their visit of the steps up to the apartment as all of the other 5 star reviews and the website clearly mentions. It's a shame that the only 4 star reviews through the entire rental history of this apartment are because of their mobility issues. Ron

  We spent 5 memorable days with another couple and cannot say enough about what Ron has created. We toured all over Florence and could always find our way home by looking for the Duomo. Ron has spared no expense with great furnishings, appliances, and finishes. I especially enjoyed the electric shades in the skylights when it was time for a siesta. Our only issue was with the water pressure in the shower head of the first bathroom. The pressure was so low that you could not use it as a shower, so we took turns using the shower in the master bedroom which was great. We informed Luca of this when we checked out and I am sure he has fixed the issue as Luca was very attentive and great to deal with. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need but given the hundreds of fabulous restaurants close by we spent very little time cooking. As people have commented in previous posts, it is 89 stairs from the bottom to the top, but after a night of pasta, wine and gelato the stairs provide a much needed workout. I would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to all of my friends. Thanks Ron and Luca.
