This rental is close to being a four (or even a five) star space. It is within walking distance of downtown, it is priced fairly, it's near Divisidaro Street which is awesome for restaurants/cafes, it contains a comfortable bed and pullout, and the owners seemed really sweet. There is one major flaw, however: loud little kids! Is there a daycare upstairs?! I swear to the Sweet Baby Jesus that those kids held a track meet every morning at 7AM because it is not normal for children to run around so much. They weren't thumping or using "outdoor voices" or cranking up the TV...they were just running! Running and running. You will definitely be woken up between 7AM-8AM if you rent this accommodation, even if you have earplugs. Ironically, the place was dead silent for the rest of the day and evening.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Centrally located to all restaurants & shopping, major food stores and bus lines. Very comfortable- washer/dryer and large screen TV. Great owner family ! Spent 6 weeks visiting family and loved the easy walk to cafes, east street parking, Alamo Square Park up the hill. Buy sandwiches at the deli and picnic across from the Painted Ladies-best spot for the city view steps from apartment ! Would recommend this clean and well-maintained apartment to couples and families. Our grandchildren loved sleeping on the futon ! Book very early for Nopa, a nearby 4 star restaurant or walk to Nopalito, a locals spot , The Mill for coffee, walk to Abysinth down Hayes Street or bus to North Beach restaurant or Scoma's at the Wharf. A must for visiting children-Sausalito Bay Discovery Museum, Golden Gate cement slides, and the Zoo . When is Sausalito, eat at Spinakers on the water ! Public transportation to all areas from this great apartment - use the Moovit app on your phone ! Can't beat the price of this apartment !Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed for an extra long weekend and found this to be a very pleasant property. We were out and busy for most of the daytimes and did not have a car so the easy bus connections ( and cab) were helpful to our stay. It was a pleasant basement location that had natural light ,clean rooms, comfortable beds, a deli around corner was great for an AM egg muffin, and locked doors and gates. We did hear the children's feet above but it did not bother us and we appreciated the notice of quiet hours in our site's notebook. We would consider staying here for another visit to the city becasue it met all our needs for this visit.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I just wanted to say thank you for renting me the lovely condo for my stay in San Francisco! I had a great time visiting my daughter at USF. The condo was so convenient for me and it was so easy to get around. You have made a really comfortable place for a home away from home. Thanks again!Did you find this review helpful? This review should be of no surprise to the owners or management company. I expected more for the rates paid. - Owners live on property in areas directly above this rental unit. -- the adults walk heavily -- the children run, almost constantly, through the house. some days starting as early as 630a on the weekend and well into the evenings - Property physically appears closely to what is shown in the photos. - Upon arrival we found: -- Kitchen counters were sticky -- Rug in the main room hadn't been vacuumed -- Cobb web where ceiling and walls meet through out the unit -- Bathroom had -- mildew in several places -- cracked tiles -- vent fan/heater covered in thick layer of dust -- Bedroom -- the bed is old, noisy and sags in the middle (be prepared to sleep against the other person in bed with you when you both roll to the middle) Upon notifying the property management company via email most items listed above were given attention with exception of the bed. That bed needs to be replaced. Management company did have cleaning crew come back to clean "again". I've been home almost a week and my back/body are still recovering and sore. The owner's request tenants leave the car/vehicle keys on the steps leading to the main living levels in order to move the vehicle when they remove their car from the garage. Access to the stairway is located via a locking knob door in the rental property bedroom.Owner response: All of our previous guests commented that they really enjoy the nice set up and said it's a very comfortable place for their stay in San Francisco. We didn't have any complaint about the mattress before. Maybe this guest prefers a firmer mattress while many others prefer a softer mattress. We have double-checked the mattress, and we have replace and upgraded to a better mattress just to make sure that our future guests will be comfortable. Once we acknowledge the guest's concerns , we always sent our people to address them right away. The guest also e-mailed us back to thank us for taking care of his concerns, and he said he really appreciated our immediate attention to it. We unfortunately live in a very environmentally conscious and dense city that we mostly have to share tandem parking, and that's why we asked the guests to leave the car keys if they are not at home and not using the car, so the upstairs guests can use the key to move the car when they have to go out. The upstairs tenants will also leave their car key when they are not at home and not using the car. After they finish moving the car, they will put the keys back to the same place, so they don't need to interrupt each other. The car keys are stored in a very secure place, where only the upper tenant and the lower tenant have access to it. This beautiful home is located in North Panhandle/Alamo Square, the most central part of San Francisco. Nearby, you will find San Francisco’s famous Golden Gate Park to tour the flourishing Conservatory of flowers, the Academy of Science and De Young Museum, or just a block north to take the cable car or double Decker tour bus from the Painted Ladies (Postcard Row) of Alamo Square Park to all exciting places. The colorful Haight Street is 3 blocks south; it’s for world class shopping, cafes, and renowned collection of multicultural restaurants.

Spent 4 nights here with spouse and adult daughter. Very clean and comfortable, updated kitchen and bath with quality appliances and fixtures. Private and safe with bonus of parking in driveway (though coordinating with upstairs residents who use garage can be tricky). Lots of pitter patter from small child running upstairs, but we were gone most of the day out and about. Location is ideal for walking, biking, public transit and auto. Very fair value for accommodations in the heart of the city. Note: home sleeps 4 total if 2 use queen sleeper couch.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children.

We found the location to be great. close to restaurants and the park. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. The children upstairs were a little noisey but we had four children and they were in bed early. We would stay here again. Good bargain for the cityRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

This apartment was perfectly situated for my stay - walking distance to coffee shops, bars, parks and the bus. The photos are mostly true to what you find in the apartment -- the couch is now a sofabed / futon and the table /chairs are in a different location. The apartment was clean, comfortable and a good size for 4 people. I'd check availability for this location again before going to a hotel!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This is not what the picture indicates. It has been staged for the photos. There was no place to put our luggage except on the floor, the bed mattress squeaked with every move and the sheets were stained. However, the location is good, very near The Panhandle and right off a very busy street with coffee shops, restaurants and bus stops.Owner response: Our beautiful and newly renovated home with high end finishes is the exact same home as the photos show with some furniture upgrades. We have upgraded our furniture in response to suggestions from our previous guests. We have a huge wardrobe closet to place luggage. We have added "You may place your luggage in the wardrobe closet" as a courteous suggestion in our care package. We switched out the white sofa to a queen size sofa bed, so guests can use the sofa bed as a sofa or a bed, which is perfect for different size of group. We also switched the small dining table to a bigger dining table, so it can accommodate more people. All of our previous guests commented that they really enjoy this nice set up and it's a very comfortable place for their stay in San Francisco. We didn't have any complaint about the mattress and sheets before. We have double-checked the mattress and the sheets, and everything is fine. The guest may have confused the pattern of the sheet to be a stain. To prevent such confusion, we have changed the sheets to a different pattern. We always keep our sheets clean and change the sheets before each new guest's arrival. This guest didn't contact and inform us of any of their concerns during their stay. We wish he or she have contacted us during their stay, so we can address their concerns right away if there really were any. This beautiful home is located in North Panhandle, the most central part of San Francisco.
