This home sleeps 4 very comfortably. Bathroom upstairs in the cozy loft as well as in the main bedroom suite. This is a gated community, so an evening stroll is very safe. We have stayed in this particular home before and found the owners very helpful in answering questions. They provide a wonderful binder that answers any question one may have and covers restaurants as well as stores in the area. The home and grounds are fastidiously clean and comfortable. One can tell that the owners take pride and treat their guests like friends by the way they leave little niceties out to make it like home. The area is a golf mecca. We have personally played all three courses in the area. The little Almanor Country Club course is 9 holes with views of the lake. They have a great little pro shop, food and bar. Bailey Creek at the entrance of the peninsula is a beautiful 18 hole mountain coarse with complete facilities. On the other side of the lake is the Almanor West golf course. It's a fun 9 hole course and inexpensive. If golf isn't your thing we have gone boating, kayaking, and hiking. A must see is Mt. Lassen. It can be a full day or just an afternoon. This trip we spent Saturday in Chester checking out all the little stores. Picked up three Christmas presents. We found a great place called Good Vibrations for natural products as well as massage. This is truly a wonderful area and good for the soul. We love the home, the animals that pass through, and beautiful view of the lake from the deck. We plan on returning soon.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We enjoyed a lovely "family" weekend of boating and cool evenings on the deck. Dinner and breakfast al fresco - what a wonderful weekend. Thank you for your hospitality.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
