This was a great place to stay. Cottage was really nice and had all the things that we needed for a very memorable trip to the area. The distance to Lambeau was as advertised---we happened to be out for the snowy Sunday Night Football game a few weeks back and just had an amazing time. Was very quiet and relaxing. Really enjoyed the fireplace and the large dinning room table. The cottage was in impeccable order and had every thing that we needed. I would definitely return for another fun weekend in the area. Make sure that you check out the Bottom's Up Tavern---as outlined in the directions. Great place for drinks and to meet friendly neighbors.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent a week at the cabin in August with our 2 boys and their friend (ages 7-9) and our dog. It was our first vacation of this type and it was all I could have hoped for. Within a day, I felt my stress slipping away. Staying at the cabin is like staying at the home of a friend who’s thought of your every need, from books and movies, to board games, to bug spray. Other than a visit to the local grocery store, we had no need or desire to leave. The lake was warm, shallow and gentle – there are absolutely NO worries about rip tides or waves. The kids kept busy constructing cities for guppies, swimming and splashing. I had a magnificent encounter with nature when I swam out to a sand bar where thousands of birds were roosting. A couple hundred of them broke off from the flock and flew directly over me for several minutes, so close I could hear their wings flapping and see the silhouettes of their legs. They were cranes. It’s an experience I cherish. Eating dinner on the dock, giggling at the wild turkeys who picketed the cabin twice a day, catching (and releasing) frogs, early morning nature walks… it was a week of making memories. Our 7 year old said he wants to come back every year and bring his kids when he’s a parent. You can’t get much higher praise than that.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

This property delivered more than we expected and our family thoroughly enjoyed our week-long visit. The cabin was beautifully decorated and we all felt like we were living straight out of a Pottery Barn catalog! There wasn't one thing missing from this well-stocked rental that really did make us feel like we were at home and not in any other VRBO rental we've ever stayed at. Don't forget to bring your (pool) rafts - we walked out at least a quarter-mile and then floated straight into the dock over 45 minutes. It was so relaxing! And, we were only just over an hour away from whitewater rafting on the Wolf River for a more exciting and exhilirating experience. We also enjoyed building a fire in the sand pit with the wood supply at our fingertips. During our stay we saw eagles, badgers, sandhill cranes, an owl, a pheasant, frog, beautiful dragonflies, swallows, hummingbirds, canadian geese, ground squirrels, rabbits and a white heron all in our back yard! Kudos to Donny et al for being so responsive and so meticulous and thank you for helping to make our Wisconsin stay so very comfortable!!! We'll be happy recommend to our family and friends and will likely be back to enjoy another stay at a different time of the year.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had to travel to Oconto for a funeral & this cottage was the perfect place for us to have some quiet time, unlike staying in a motel or condo. The dock is awesome & the lake was frozen, can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer or fall. My daughters, all working on their master's, found the wi-fi to be very fast, & the large table was perfect for all of them to sit around with their laptops. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, etc, even dog food!!. The owner e-mailed a day or so after we arrived, to see if there was anything we needed. My sister-in-law is already thinking that this would be a great cabin for her daughter & granddaughters to have their annual quilting weekend! There's plenty of room on the huge table for them to set up their sewing machines! Thank you Don for providing a clean, comfortable place for us to stay! We loved your cabin!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for staying with us Denise. thanks for taking great care of our cottage.

We had a perfect stay (other than the Bears getting spanked by the Pack). Cottage was better than expected and perfectly decorated for a get away to northern Wisconsin. We hope to come back in the summertime! We were a bit nervous about how far away the cottage seenmed as we passed Lambeau, but the directions aand travel time were perfectly reflected and once we drove it one time, it was a breeze. so close , yet so perfectly private. The interior of the cottage is great - even more spacious than it appears from the photos - clean and beautifully decorated. If we had needed extra things to do, there were books, games and movies galore. The "coots" (ducks, not us) were migrating and the bay was alive with their sounds on the night we arrived. It was an amazing experience. Since it was November, the end of the dock was out in preparation for winter, but I would LOVE to kayak the bay and see what the area was like from the water. I also think it would be an amazing place to explore on snowshoes. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer. Just a perfect location for both access to Greenbay and exploring the areas naural beauty. Donny couldn't have been more upbeat and helpful in our communications. Great place Donny and family. We are jealous!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Anne, thanks for your feedback. Come up in the summer - it is great kayaking! - Donny

We had an excellent time at the cottage. It was perfect for what we were looking for. On Saturday, we were able to go to Green Bay and see the Hall of Fame, do a Stadium Tour and then go back and have a place to grill out and relax. It was 25 min to the game on Sunday and we had a excellent time. So much better than a hotel room, highly recommend. We will be looking to rent again next year. Thanks again!Owner response: Thanks Matt. Come back anytime !

This is a perfect place to escape to! Close enough to Green Bay to enjoy a Packers game and other festivities and far enough to feel away from everything! Everything is well maintained and clean, very well stocked. Donny was so very helpful in getting us information about parking for a Packers game and helpful tips on fishing and tackle. His recommendations for restaurants in nearby Oconto were great too. This was a perfect trip for me and my sons--we will treasure our time here and look for opportunities to return. I would give this retreat the highest of recommendations!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks Phil. Beautiful Salmon catch!

The cottage was the ideal getaway for our young family's two-week vacation. The owner's generosity and hospitality was evident throughout their entire property; every arrangement we made with them was taken care of faithfully and with integrity. The waterfront was ideal for our young children - the sandy bottom takes care of the common "ewww - factor," and the shallow water makes looking after the kids a snap (perfect for learning to swim). If you're around for a longer stay, make sure you check-out Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay. Kids and parents of any age will have a blast on the classic carnival rides - and all for 25 cents a ticket. A big "Thanks" to the owners for providing all the necessary ingredients for enjoying a great vacation destination - your place is a gem!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We always like to hear that our guests have enjoyed our cottage!

A few friends and i got together for a weekend getaway over the 4th of july weekend. We were plesantly suprised to find this cute little cabin nestled in the woods. The cabin was everything we were looking for, for a group of late 20 somethings looking to take a break from the big city. It was quiet, private, and peaceful. We had a beautiful view from the deck overlooking the water and our own private dock perfect for lounging. There was a kayak, canoe, water trampoline, and row boat for those who just wanted to get off land. There wasn't a beach, but in the end we didn't really need one, we spent a lot of time laying out on the dock. The water was shallow and very warm. The cabin it self was very nicely decorated, well maintained, and air conditioned. It was comfortable and had lots of sleeping space. The kitchen was fully functioning and there was a washer/dryer.There was only one bathroom but this didn't seem to be a problem. There was a grill on the porch and a fire pit in the backyard. The cabin owners also had a great collection of games, books, and dvds for down time. We never left the cabin, so I can't speak for the surrounding area, but we had a wonderful time and are considering a trip back next year. I highly recommend this place, but the selfish side of me doesn't want everyone to know becuase i want to be able to come back whenever I want! Note if you rent: Dog friendly Bring your bug spray, it can be very bugy at night Beach towels not provided, don't forget them Bring your floats for the water, it just makes the expierence even betterRecommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.
Owner response: We just got some beach towels for guests, thanks for the input !

A couple friends and I rented this cabin for the weekend of the Fourth of July. It was truly one of the greatest escapes that I could have asked for. The cabin is cozy, clean, inviting, and well maintained. There were small things that we found throughout the rooms and shelves that were just so fun to discover and the games collection was great. The absolutely best part of the cabin was the dock and waterfront. It was a private beach for us to layout on the dock and wade out into the shallow water with our dog and play fetch for hours. There was a row boat that provided laughs and entertainment and the inflatable trampoline on the water was a nice added addition. There was a kayak that was available, however, we were so content to float on the rafts that we didn't even need anything else. The weekend was spent relaxing and enjoying the outdoors with great friends and a picturesque setting. It was just perfect and we would recommend this cabin to ANYONE. Thanks so much Don!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so happy to hear that people are enjoying their stay. Our renters this summer have been having a great time!

This cottage is simply wonderful. We've rented quite a few places through VRBO and have always had great luck, but this is the first time we felt like house guests rather than renters! Everything about the place is welcoming, and it seems like the owners are in this to share their cabin and their experiences rather than to make money. Beautifully remodeled and decorated, secluded, peaceful. It has everything, from eagles soaring overhead to pelicans to sandhill cranes to good walleye fishing right out front. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This lovely cottage is located in a beautiful, private forest setting with a great view of Green Bay. The owner was extremely thoughtful in providing personal notes and welcoming amenities upon our arrival. The owner has constructed a long boardwalk to the water’s edge which allows a nice stroll -- especially in the morning and evening. Our four sons (ages 6-16) loved it! There is a nice back yard with grass for playing games, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Also, a good-sized wood porch off the back of the cottage has ample room to have a meal or take in views of the bay. There is a grill for use as well. The cottage itself is nicely arranged with the great room providing a view toward the bay. There is a pull-out queen couch in this room with a cozy fireplace. A stairway leads up to a loft/bedroom. The loft space in front also has views of the bay, and there are two large bunk beds easily sleeping four. Behind the loft through a door is a more private room in the back (our teenage son loved it) with a double bed. The master bedroom is located on the main floor. Our family of six was very comfortable. There is one bathroom, which is also the laundry room, and this is a slight limitation for a big group -- but it is a cottage! The shower has good pressure and the bathroom is in great shape with new appliances and fixtures. There is a TV in the great room, and the owner shares an extensive library of movies, books, and games. There is a radio/CD player which provides great sound throughout the main floor. The galley kitchen conveniently opens to the main eating and relaxation areas. It features a cool retro stove that works well. All basic appliances, cookware, and serveware are included. The cottage is located close to small towns to the north where all the essentials can be purchased, and there are some good restaurants. We also drove to nearby Michigan and spent some time on the beach in Menominee/Marinette. The city of Green Bay is also easily accessible, and we were able to visit Lambeau Field in a short, scenic drive. Overall, we were extremely delighted with the cottage. It was a perfect escape for us. The owner has done a beautiful job remodeling and appointing the cottage. We enjoyed it so much the owner allowed us to add on a night! We can’t wait for a return visit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are happy you enjoyed your stay. We hope you come back !
