We really enjoyed staying at this adorable hidden cottage! It was so relaxing to sit on the dock and watch the birdlife. The hammock was the perfect place for a nap or read a good book. We loved all the oak trees with spanish moss enveloping their branches. We brought our boat so we could cruise to the Withlacoochee and Rainbow river (where we enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear water). We would love to come back next year! T.S. Sarasota, Fl

What a View!
What a View!
Very charming cottage with a terrific view. Sunsets did not disappoint from any of the outside locations - dock, deck or screen porch. The gas grill was a welcome treat, as we love outdoor cooking. Fishing from the back dock gave us hours of entertainment. We choose bread balls over wigglers, and caught many a Sunfish and Crappie. It was a short drive to the Rainbow River State Park where we took the 2 hour tube ride from the spring head (much easier than the 4 hour trip from KP Hole). Shopping in the downtown was a wonderful option during the heat of the day. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront Cottage immensely.

Loved the place! So nicely decorated with lots of cute touches. The grounds were beautiful and the setting very peaceful. We enjoyed sunsets and breakfast on the deck by the lake. The screened in porch was nice to have as an option if it was rainy. Spent each day either tubing or swimmming in the headsprings at Rainbow River State Park. Had a wonderful time!

This was exactly the place for a weekend get away. There is no detail missing from this charming cottage. My sons and I fished, canoed and laid in the hammock. My dogs loved the property but found a gap in the fence and got away so be careful if you bring your pets. The rainbow river tubing was a great experience. Loved it!

This place reminded me of my grandparent's cabin when I was a kid. LOVED IT!!!! Everything you could need and more. Clean, comfy beds, view that was amazing!!! This is located close to Crystal River in a town called Dunnellon. The people we met at the local bar and grill on the Rainbow River, were so nice and welcoming!!! Great little town. I honestly can not say enough good things about this place. We are planning our next trip soon! I will make sure we have a boat. If we would have had our own boat our vacation would have been over the top!!! Still had plenty to do, and my son was able to fish right off the dock, well I watch from the hammock on the lawn with great shade trees. Just a great little place to see the true Florida!!!!

My husband and I were looking for a getaway close to Tampa. We found the perfect peaceful place and you would think you are much farther away than 90minutes from home. The tranquility was just what we needed. We fished, grilled out and spent alot of time outdoors and in the screen house. This wass everything we expected and more.

The cottage comes exactly as advertised, the pictures are absolutely accurate. My wife and I spent January 2012 at the cottage and we woke up with a smile every day. We walked almost every day, we saw wonderful sunsets and we spent many happy hours on the dock watching the alligators. The canoe is a little small and not designed for the uninitiated but I enjoyed it. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you will need. Crystal river is worth visiting and we liked Vintage on 5th and the Blue Alligator in Dunnellon is a hoot. You have to try the devilsfood donuts at the Dunnellon donut shop on Pennsylvania st. This is not your typical Florida vacation so be advised. We are from Wisconsin and it is truly a "northwoods fishing cottage" with designer touches. The decks make the place work.
