Rainbow valley escape
Rainbow valley escape
We chose to be away from the tourist bustle and this did not disappoint. With a.m. and p.m. rainbow views toward the mountains on most days(winter), roosters crowing, dogs barking, and morning bird chorus, it's an escape from the city. Breezy, clean, and comfortably equipped. The owners are very helpful, friendly, and provide fast dependable wifi. The Bus stops hourly within yards of the driveway. It's a steep walk up to the rooms, but worth it. We were able to keep our bicycles in the street level garage. Roadside parking is adequate.

What an amazing little place. We had everything we needed and an awesome view. We slept like babies listening to the rain through the bedroom window. A quiet neighborhood and the proximity to the punchbowl made it easy for tourists to find (we followed the signs to the punchbowl). The house is pretty centrally located to everything. We felt very at home and throughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back!!!

A pleasant stay, a good location!
A pleasant stay, a good location!
My husband and I were pleased to have this opportunity to stay outside Waikiki, at a location with easy access to many routes around the island. The apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable. There's a parking stall on premises, which is adequate for most visitors (we are local residents, and were even able to find parking for both our cars!). Recommend -- especially for a couple or small family with plans to get out and about.

Thanks for the Memories
Thanks for the Memories
Thanks so much for having us be the first to enjoy your beautiful getaway. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the apartment and the finishing. Being in Real Estate and travelling quite often we always have in mind what we would like. Your apartment totally fit the bill. We love the lush setting and the beautiful view as well as being able to get into Honolulu or Waikiki in minutes as well as the easy access to the Pali Highway. Looking forward to our next visit. Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: I have been in Hawaii for over 25 years now and work at an Environmental Consulting firm as a Sr. Scientist/Water Resource Specialist. My wife, who has been in Hawaii almost as long as I, is a Professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. We try and take advantage of the pristine ocean swimming, surfing, hiking and biking spots that are offered here on Oahu.
Why the Owner Chose Honolulu:
I came to Hawaii in 1986 on a surf excursion from NC after college and fell in love with the islands. I've lived all over the island, but ended up purchasing property in 2002 with my wife on Punch Bowl Crater. We started construction in 2004 and moved into our Hawaiian Pole House on the slopes of Punch Bowl Crater by February 2005. We've just recently completed the vacation rental in the space below the main structure.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
At $175/night (or discounted $3,950/mo), a one month stay in our fully furnished apartment is roughly the cost of a 10-day stay in a hotel. This tropical property offers beautiful views, island-style living, while centrally located providing easy access for day trip excursions!
