Enjoy summer at a Cozy Beach House! Our rambler-style home has a private feel on a low-medium bank waterfront with a large patio with fire pit and a cabana right on the beach. The house faces to the west so enjoy the sun all day until sunset. Enjoy the large deck for relaxing, entertaining and barbecuing There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, along with a full sized laundry room. The master bedroom is equipped with a king bed, the second bedroom has a twin bunk bed and the 3rd bedroom has a double bed. The living and dining rooms both overlook the water with an almost 180 degree view of the water and a view of the Olympic Mountains. The living room has a TV with cable/DVD for your viewing pleasure. WiFi is available. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa.
Families will appreciate the easy access down to the bulkhead and beach. The beach is sandy/small rock and a great place for kids to play in the sand, collect shells and sea creatures. It is also great for swimming in warmer waters of late July and August. There are 2 kayaks and life jackets for your use. Enjoy a trip around the calm waters of Henderson Bay or for more excitement, bring your own boat and tie it up to the buoy, available for your use.
There is plenty of fun to be had nearby, should you wish to go exploring. Gig Harbor is 5 minutes away and Tacoma is a 20 minute drive away. The summer of 2011 hosts the Norman Rockwell exhibit at the Tacoma Art Museum and Chihuly's Glass Museum is nearby as well. Explore the quaint towns of Poulsbo and Port Orchard or take the ferry from Bremerton to Pike Place Market in Downtown Seattle. Whatever you to enjoy your time at the beach or explore the area, you'll be sure to have an incredible time!

My family was in Gig Harbor for my daughter's wedding. Staying at the Gig Harbor Beach house was a treat for us all. It is very clean, well furnished, LARGE kitchen, and a large deck overlooking Henderson Bay. It was like stepping back in time when families spent quality time just hanging out together. Jack, the owner, was great to work with, very responsive. The rate was very reasonable too. My family wanted to stay another week - hopefully we can do it again sometime, we would definitely return to the beach house! Thanks!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My wife and I along with four children, suffered through a 32 hour drive from Illinois stopping at three different hotels on the way. When we pulled down the driveway of this vacation home and saw the water and mountains, we were ecstatic! The sun was setting just above the trees and a lovely breeze was coming off the water. The kids instantly went down the steps to the landing just above the water to get a better look. They were grabbing shells and other sea treasures. They found crabs big and small. Whole oysters and we even saw a seal swimming about 100 ft from the dock in the morning. Firepit on the water was great. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the sunsets. The home was beautiful, clean, roomy, and most of all quiet. Three nice sized bedrooms, one with two sets of bunk beds that all four our kids slept in. The kitchen had everything you would need. We barbecued outside every night while we were there. Our kids put the house to the test and it passed with flying colors. It even had a booster seat for our three yr old to sit on at the kitchen table. Short 10 min drive to all the stores you would need. 5 min drive to a very cool park called Homestead Park. We spent about three hours there. The house has two kayaks that my wife and oldest daughter used. While there we visited the Olympic Mountains and took the ferry out of Bremerton to the Seattle aquarium. Jack and his wife Sue were very easy to deal with. They responded to our e-mails quickly and always answered the phone the first time we would call. I highly recommend renting this home. Can't wait to come back again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
