This was a great place to take the family for a relaxing weekend on a lake. The Cottage had a bunch of small "extras" that added up to a lot. For instance it has a nice dock, a big back yard, a casual fire ring area, a large little kid playset, kayaks to use, a large deck for eating on with a big group and enough separage rooms to make the sleeping arrangements work out for two families and a total of ten people. The Cafe just up the street from the DQ had a great brunch!

Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

My two children and I were fortunate enough to secure a week over the 4th of July (book early because she sells out fast). The weather was perfect and the house was spectacular. It was easy to find because the house is right down the street from the Dairy Queen and the village. At first I was concerned that we would hear all the noise but this wasn't the case at all. The road is very quiet and we saw 2 cars drive down it the entire week we were there. It was also VERY quiet. It was so convenient to be just steps away from the village too. We were able to walk to all the restaurants and shops in the village in literally 2 minutes. The folks in Bridges Bar were very nice (Traci's father owns it) and can answer all your questions about things to do while you are there. We hit the Dairy Queen practically every night. Also, while we were there we rented a Jet-ski from the Waterfront (they also have pontoon boats). We only rented it for one day though because the kids had plenty to do. Traci's cabin comes complete with a row boat and my kids fell in love with the kayaks. We spent a lot of time fishing off of the dock too. Although the cabin has cable TV we didn't turn it on at all. We opted for a campfire most every night in the firepit. The fourth of july fireworks were spectacular and we had the best view on the lake sitting on the end of our dock. It was a very romantic setting. The cabin had everything we needed. The air conditioning came in handy on a few of the warmer nights. The cabin is a great size. The three of us felt very comfortable there but there is plenty of room for a larger family. The breezeway doubles as another bedroom and is very comfortable. Also, the sauna house is like an efficiency apartment (although not as nice as the main house). Our week there seemed to go by too quickly. Traci (our host) was an excellent communicator and made sure our stay was perfect. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone but I kind of want to keep it a secret so we can stay here again without the competition.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

              Year Purchased: 2005

About the owner: I have the fondest memories of spending my summers on Lake Nebagamon while I was growing up. We would spend the whole summer either water skiing, swimming, canoeing down the Brule River, camping, golfing, working at my Dad's Bar (Bridge's) or just hanging out.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Nebagamon:
In recent years I have been able to share this wonderful place called Lake Nebagmon with my two children. They too have fallen in love. So, in 2004 we were thrilled to be presented with the opportunity to buy this little peace of heaven.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Lake Nebagamon is a very special place to everyone who has been lucky enough to spend some time there. The words that come to mind to describe it are: beautiful, peaceful, clean, friendly, quiet and did I say Peaceful? The lake is fairly large at 950 acres and you can always enjoy water skiing, fishing or boating without alot of boat traffic. That is not something you can find on a lake in the Northeast where I live now. After purchasing The Cottage, we worked hard to create the inviting, cozy Cottage it is now. In the two bedrooms, we have Full over Full bunkbeds with twin trundles. This allows you to sleep 10 people in the bedrooms if you don't want to use the other areas. We put two full futons in the beautiful knotty pine Breezeway room and there are couches in the living room and Huge storm porch. There is also a full futon in the Sauna house. The house consists of two bedrooms, living room/dining room, breezway room, huge enclosed storm porch, one full bathroom, separate toilet room, fully stocked kitchen with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, coffee pot etc... There is also a separate sauna house with a full futon, table, 1/2 bath and a shower inside the large sauna. Outside there is a large wrap around deck, grill, huge yard, firepit, picnic table, dock, rowboat, kayaks, beach toys for kids and a nice sandy private beach.
