Located on beautiful Turtle Cove, the Makaha Cabanas is in a non-tourist part of Oahu. On the leeward (dry) side of the island, days are almost always warm and sunny. Turtle Cove is uncrowded and offers a splendid tropical beach. Snorkel and swim just steps from the building.
This non-smoking condo is cute as can be and is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a tropical motif, and the kitchen has been recently refurbished with new, full size appliances. All kitchen and bath linens are provided.

Why the Owner Chose Makaha
We bought this unit, expecting to use it as our vacation rental because it was on the most beautiful beach we had seen on 3 islands. The white sand beach is so quiet, and removed from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. Tom and I had friends who lived in this condo complex, and it was a good choice for us as well. But we loved it so much,we moved from the mainland to live here full time. But we still live on this best beach on the islands, just next door.

The full-time residents have become our dear friends, and some of the tourists are new friends that we correspond with. Many are return guests!

Owner's Map of Makaha
Tom and I bought our little unit in 1999 after my retirement as a music teacher and he as a law enforcement officer. We lived here for 3 years until we found a little bigger unit. We are Hawaii residents now, and go back to the mainland on occasions to visit children, and mainly grandchildren. I play organ for our church in Waianae, and have substitute taught in the schools, but recently been working with young adults who are working on their GED's. I am active in several other ventures as well.

The place was just right, very clean and very secure. There were full-time security personnel, and the parking, building, elevator, and unit each required keyed entry. The interior was just as advertised, and everything seemed to work as it should. The bed was firm and comfortable. The views were very nice and the beach was clean and not at all crowded. We were very comfortable and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place away from the big-city hubbub of Honolulu, but close enough to get there easily if the mood strikes.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.

My family and I had a wonderful time here. The condo was clean and nice. So were the owners. We stayed a month and would recommend this condo to everyone. I would definately stay here again when I come back to Hawaii. The sound of the ocean is very relaxing. My family stayed June 2010. We were very pleased.

My wife and I have stayed in this condo 4 times. It is perfect for us. Very well equipped and spotless, always. Pam has furnished it like her home, not a rental. Our favorite part, though, is the beautiful beach out front and the view up the Makaha Valley on the other side. The owner is always a pleasure to work with, and if something does go wrong she has local people on call to take care of things promptly.

My husband and myself spent 10 days at the Condo. We had a wonderful time. The condo itself is very clean and comfortable. The beach is absolutely beautiful, the snorkeling was good and we were able to swim with green sea turtles. We can't wait for our next visit!!

My wife and I stayed here for a week in September and had a very nice time. The condo is very clean and recently remodeled. The neighbors were quiet and the building is right on the beach which was never crowded, even on weekends. It is a great spot if you want to relax with a book and a beer and listen to the surf. Highly recommended, we would stay here again.
