Lovely, Privately Situated Home with the True Feeling of Vermont
- Minimum stay:7 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Lovely, privately situated home (3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, sleeps 6) with the true feeling of Vermont.
Around the Property: Plenty of space for lawn games. Croquet. Horseshoes, badminton, catching fireflies. If you hit the little white ball, take a 9-iron or wedge out to the 'long yard.' Ninety yards to the tree line. Or pull out a three wood and hit old balls into the trees (you're still on the property.) We'll leave you a few if you ask.
Hiking: A five minute walk takes you to Beartown Rd., starting point for a medium hard, two-and-a-half-hour trek up Mount Equinox, highest peak in the area, looming over Manchester. From the top on a clear day, see for miles, into New York, New Hampshire, and Massachusets.
Strolling, running and biking: At the top of the private road is Three Maple Drive, the prettiest country road in all Manchester. Burbling streams, generational maple, oak, hickory...,horses in field, and barn. North after a mile or so, Three Maple descends and becomes MacNamara Rd. into Dorset. Good for a walk or a run into Dorset . Or biking further, into new country, a Hemingway coinage.

We had such a great time at this awesome home. The location is just perfect. A couple miles out of the busy area, but we still had pizza delivered. My kids loved lounging in front of the awesome fireplace. It is a rumford and throws heat and draws beautifully. Lets just say a bowl of onion soup and Eds book about Beers from around the world was thoroughly enjoyed fireside. The house has a garage which was really nice when it snowed. We didnt have to clean our car before heading to Bromley. I think its about 15 minutes to Bromley from the house. The Kitchen is great. We were a family of 4 and loved the room layout. The master has a great jacuzzi tub which helps ease the legs after a day on the slopes. The Teelings were so great to deal with, and so helpful in figuring out our stay. Just a perfect house and great hosts.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was private, clean and had everything we were hoping for in a rental home. The house is on a very nice piece of property and more than plenty of lawn for kids to play. The house is big, spacious and plenty of room for everyone to hang out. The house is located right of West Rd. which is a great location in Manchester to access everything in the area.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
