My wife and I spent a week in early April at this apartment, and it was quite simply one of the best breaks we've had in many a long year. We found Les Terrasses without any problem (not far from the railway station) and the apartment itself is just stunning. It is roomy, airy and light, with all the mod cons and equipment you could possibly wish for. It also has a sizeable balcony overlooking Lake Geneva, with breathtaking views across the lake toward the distant mountains. As if the high quality of accommodation in the apartment wasn't enough, the view alone was worth any rental charge. The apartment is situated near the complex swimming pool, steam room, sauna and gym, and we took full advantage of these facilities. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi where we basked in the sun and enjoyed further wonderful views. We didn't hire a car on this occasion, but all the attractions of Montreux (and there are many) were within easy walking distance. Lakeside walks, boat excursions, a medieval castle, numerous restaurants (some lakeside), well-stocked supermarkets, even a statue of Freddie Mercury (who had a home in the town) are all there to be explored. When we ventured further afield, the proximity of the railway station and the extreme efficiency of the Swiss railway network meant that we were able to explore without any inconvenience. The admin office and staff at the complex were always available and helpful, but unobstrusive - just the way I like it! Our week came to an end all too quickly, and we both felt completely refreshed and de-stressed. In short, we hope to be coming back here in the not-too-distant future, and we highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for either a short break or more extended holiday. You really can't go wrong with it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Had a wonderful week in this apartment. What a great location, right on the lake and a 2 min walk to everything. This apartment is brand new with an immaculate kitchen and bathrooms. Great lake view from the balcony. Used the gym and pool facilities in the complex as well. Would definitely come again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We spent three nights in this wonderful place. The apartment is ideally located with an unobstructed view of Lake Geneva and the snow capped mountains. The complex is new with convenient underground parking and easy access to the unit. The condo is nicely furnished with modern decor, wireless Internet, multi-channel TV, DVD plus a well equipped kitchen. The shutters provide privacy and darkness at night as well as excellent soundproofing. Down the hall is a complete fitness center. We enjoyed being close to the lake-side gardens and walking paths that run along the lake for miles. The building is located near shopping, restaurants, the casino and the statue of Freddy Mercury. Montreux itself is a wonderful place to visit. The Castle, the cog railways, the terraced vineyards and the wonderful Brasserie Fairmont Montreux Palace make the locale memorable.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

Why the Owner Chose Montreux:
We chose Montreux for a holiday home as it is set in the most picturesque and ever changing setting. There are lots of lovely walks, days spent on the lake swimming and boating and the evenings spent enjoying delicious food and local wine!
I fell in love with Montreux when I worked there on a conference in 1982 and I vowed to go back.
We loved the Jazz Festival too and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't been!
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
There is the most gorgeous deli just a 5 minute walk away - the fresh food glistens in the sun outside, the cheese is ripe and full and the local wine is delicious - enjoy it while you are here as they do not produce enough to export it, so you won't get it anywhere else!
