Wonderful and Relaxing!

Guest: Tami K.
Date of Stay: 03/12/12 Review Submitted: 03/19/12

The house is fantastic and huge! We rarely knew the teens were there! They got the run of the down stairs and the adults were upstairs or on the wonderful deck enjoying the view and weather! Clay was extremely helpful and thorough. We wanted for nothing! The directions are tricky, but that is part of the adventure! LOL Definately a MUST and a great bargain. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven. Looking forward to another visit. A new dream destination!

Fantastic Stay!

Guest: R M.
Date of Stay: 12/25/11 Review Submitted: 12/29/11

Our stay was fantastic! We had four generations in one location and enjoyed the space, game tables and setting. The house was very clean and welcoming for our visit. It did not matter that it rained because there was so much space and things there to entertain the children--game tables, tv, dvds---that it never was boring. We will certainly be booking this place again.

Perfect for Large Groups

Guest: Chris (Land O Lakes, FL)
Date of Stay: 08/01/11 Review Submitted: 08/10/11

We had 18 people ranging from 3 to 67 and the house fit all of us comfortably. The game room and bunk beds downstairs were perfect for kids. The house was clean and exactly as described and the view of Grand Lake was straight off a postcard. The docks easily accomadated our two boats and the kids had a blast on the swim dock. We're definitely renting this house again.

Great spot on Drowning Creek

Date of Stay: 07/29/11 Review Submitted: 08/11/11

We also have a smaller cabin on Drowning Creek and we have used Clay's home for our two family reunions for the last few years. We have great memories of our 42 years at Grand Lake, and Clay's cabin is helping create even more great memories with a whole new generation ! Everything is there that you could POSSIBLY need ! Debbie had the place spotless for us and was available for any questions we might have. We had a great time. We are planning making our trip annual. Thanks for everything ! Your new friends from Wichita, Kansas.

Very Relaxing, & the view was great. The downhill walk to the lake was a little steep but other than that it was all good. :) This is the 1st time we have ever rented a house like this and plan to do so again in the future. Us and our family had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

We had 13 family members for our annual lake trip. We have been to Grand Lake before, but first time to rent this home. The view from the top deck was amazing. My husband was ready to retire here!! The water was as smooth as glass and so perfect for skiing, swimming and paddleboating! We want to come back next year.

Great place to stay. Had a great weekend. Weather was a little rainy, but still had a great time. Really close to the shore so if you have boats or sea doos it's not a hassle to deal with them.

Great Family Holiday

Guest: Isla L. (Las Vegas, NV)
Date of Stay: 11/21/10 Review Submitted: 07/06/11

We stayed at the Lakefront house on the week before Thanksgiving. The house fit our family to a tee. There were 12 of us and there was room for the 6 children and myself downstairs and 3 bedrooms for the parents upstairs. The kids made use of the play room quite a bit and they were not heard upstairs, which was really nice. We also enjoyed the lovely porches and the grill. The home was comfortable and made us all feel right at home. A wonderful place to share and enjoy a vacation.

Great family reunion weekend!

Guest: Rick (Wayne Oklahoma)
Date of Stay: 08/26/10 Review Submitted: 09/05/10

We had a total of 22 people, 12 adults and 10 children ranging from ages 2-75. Plenty to do for everyone and all left with memories of a great weekend. We all packed way too much as the house was well stocked. Cabinets are stocked with dishes from casual to candlelight. All you need is clothes and food.( there were all kinds of seasonings, condiments and misc in the cabinets) We all had fun on the paddle boat and had ongoing ping pong and foosball tournaments. We brought cards but had too much to do and never used them. Plenty accomodations for all to sleep and hang out. For those that rose early, the sunrise was magnificent. We would recommend to all our friends, and as Arnold says " I'll be back"! PS. Clay is the man!

Our family tries to get together every summer since we are spread out accross the country. This lake house made it possible us to not only meet but for us to stay under one roof. Everything we needed was there. We had a great time. The weather was quite warm but the water was great. Kids had a fun time fishing off the dock and were very excited when they caught one. it was very relaxing and enjoyable. we would live to rent this place for our next get together.

Grand Lake House

Guest: KMS (New Jersey)
Date of Stay: 07/23/10 Review Submitted: 08/10/10

Our large extended family has greatly enjoyed our retreats at Grand Lake House for the past two years. The two new, very large upper and lower decks look out over a beautiful part of the lake -- importantly with a big sycamore tree providing shade from the morning sun for enjoying the morning coffee. The house offers plenty of room for various activities to be occurring in different parts of the house. It has been clean and everything has worked well during our stays. The kitchen layout and the nice gas grill accommodate cooking for a large group. The separate fishing and swimming docks are great. Boats and/or wave runners can be rented from various marinas on the lake. The parking is good, although it is fair to mention that the driveway and the stone steps are quite steep down to the road and the docks. The owner is very professional and easy to work with. We definitely recommend it for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.

We had a great time at the lake house. The swimming dock had a big sunny area, unlike some of the other docks around, and the lake was great -- warm on the surface, cool below. The air hockey table was definitely my son's favorite thing. The paddle boat was just right for us and our kids (ages 4 1/2 and 1 1/2). Clay's directions were spot on, and we appreciated having a washer and dryer and not having to buy dish soap, ketchup, etc. The only thing I note is that the driveway is really steep and the steps down to the lake are also steep, since that will matter to some people. We had a really relaxing vacation. -Martha W, Dallas, TX

Very nice accommadations. We had a group of 22 people ranging in age from 6 to 89 and everyone had a great time. Plenty of things for the kids to do even though it was a little cold outside. It was also nice that there was very little sound transfer between the upstairs and downstairs. We couldn't hear the kids playing downstairs and people sleeping downstairs couldn't hear people upstairs preparing breakfast. We would definetly stay here again and probably will next fall.

Clay, we had a GREAT time at your house and already talking about making this an annual thing for our family. The layout of the house is perfect. The kids could be downstairs having fun and making noise without being heard upstairs. Saturday afternoon most of us put chairs or towels out on the lawn in front of the house and visited. Good times! You have an awesome place there and thank you for sharing with others. Oh, and the view was amazing. Especially in the mornings with the fog on the lake and being able to see the fish feeding near the shore early in the mornings from the upper deck when the water was still calm. We also enjoyed watching the vulchers roosting in the trees behind the house! :)

Clay, I just want you to know that there is a VERY special 80 year old Mom/Aunt/Granny who said that her birthday was the best week of her life! That was our purpose! Your lake house was wonderful! From the fishing dock to the swimming dock to the paddle boat to the deck to the game room to all the bed rooms, to all the movies, to the big kitchen table where we gathered every night and talked/ and laughed and broke bread and of course the deck where our dear Bozie sat and read her book, watched us play and listened to music....it was perfect..all of it! Thank you! We left with the best of memories!

We had a great time at your house. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we were very pleased with the house. I really appreciated the paper goods that were provided, and the detergent and dishwasher soap, etc, that was available for our use. It has been my experience in the past that you had to bring all those kind of things with you, and it was wonderful to find the house so well supplied. We didn't have any boats so we weren't out on the water, but we had a lot of folks fishing, and catching fish, so we used the dock a lot. We had a good time.

Thanks, Clay, for sharing your house. We had a group of 15 family members for 4 nights and had a great time. Your large 5 bedroom lake front property was definitely more than we expected. It had a great view of the lake, everything we needed, and downstairs game area that was very popular. Your location on the lake is ideal for watersports as the water was calm and smooth during our entire stay. My only regret is that we don't live closer to Oklahoma so we stay at your house more often.

This house on Grand Lake is everything described on the website, and more. We stayed over Spring Break so it was too cold to get in the water, but we did make use of the paddle boat and enjoyed the two docks for just hanging out. The game room downstairs is great -- if you had bad weather, you would have a good time anyway! The house is very large, was immaculate, and the owner, Clay, was very pleasant and easy to deal with. We would love to return in the summer, with a boat or other watercraft, to take advantage of the lakefront property. Thank you, Clay, for sharing your awesome home! Jim and Cheryl Oklahoma City

This was a great place for our family reunion on good ole Grand Lake. Lots of room for adults and kids, downstairs games were a great thing and the dock, cove and overall location can't be beat. No place outside for the kids to run around but that's not unusual for this kind of property. Not recomended for extreme oldsters as the hill and steps are quite steep, but everyone else did just fine. A definite thumbs up!

This was our second August to spend a week in this Lakefront property and we look forward to doing the same next year. The view is great and having a boatdock that we can use is an incredible convenience. It is located in a large cove that, during the week, does not get much traffic so that we were able to ski, jet ski, swim and fish right in front of the lakehouse. Also fishing was great off of the dock. The house comfortablely accommodates a large group. Our group consisted of children (two 2 year olds), Teenagers, parents, and grandparents. The gameroom, downstairs, also has a set of two bunkbeds which will sleep 4. The downstairs is great for the teenagers to have a place of their own to entertain themselves playing pool, air hockey, pingpong, watch t.v., and play cards and board games. It is definitely a place to create lasting memories.

We stayed at this house for our family vacation the past two summers. Everything was wonderful. The location is perfect. You can sit out on the deck and watch a beautiful sunrise. It is located on a quiet part of the lake, great for taking the kids out to ski or wakeboard. The house is comfortable and inviting, with everything we needed to make us feel right at home. The kids love the basement, with their own TV and games, including a ping pong table. Everything is clean and in good repair. The house is very well maintained. It's hard to leave! We look forward to going back again next summer.

We stayed here in August of 2004 and had one of our best vacations ever! We had a family vacation with 8 adults, 3 teens, and 5 children and we all fit comfortably. The sunrises were so beautiful that even the teenagers set their alarms to wake up for them. The cove is arguably the best place for water sports, especially during the week when we had the whole thing to ourselves for most of the day. I'm counting the days until we return again in August!!!

We had a great time and plan on returning. Folks, this house on the lake is very close to the water and it is very peacefull. If you enjoy all the comforts of home, this is the place.

What a wonderful spacious lake home. We celebrated a birthday and this house worked perfectly for a lot of family. A beautiful lake view too! Thank you!

To say this is the perfect vacation home would be an UNDERSTATEMENT !! Everything about our trip was perfect. The house is huge, very clean, and has anything you could possible need. It is water front on one of the best coves on the lake. There is a dock for great fishing and one for swimming. My children absolutely loved it. I would HIGHLY recommend this vacation rental to anyone seeking a place on Grand Lake. We will rebook for many years to come.

Just wanted to "THANK YOU" for sharing your lake house with us. What a beautiful, beautiful place! As I mentioned to you, I have a 11-year-old daughter and a 21-year old son (just the way God Blessed us!) and it is hard to find something that interests them both in the way of a vacation. Grand Lake worked out great! We brought two jet skis and rented two more! Also, my mother celebrated her 68th birthday while there and said it was the best ever. We got up both mornings and enjoyed our coffee on the deck with the sun coming up. Just awesome! What a tremondous view! Memories I'll savory forever.

Thank you so much for a GREAT place to stay! We love it here, and plan whole-heartedly to come back. It is an understatement to say that the house is spacious, but it is also comfortable and clean! We had a bunch of fun, adn look forward to coming back! Tad
