  A nice, clean, well-equipped little apartment, perfectly situated at the south end of Kihei, and suitable for an individual or couple who don't require excessive space. I enjoyed the garden view from the 2nd floor lanai and the regular 'wake-up call' from the winged wildlife - some of it not so 'wild'. I much appreciated the thoughful preparation and the stock of 'essentials' that not all owners provide, as well as the internet, beach chairs, pool, BBQ, etc. The owner was helpful and courteous, and the building was well run. If ocean-view and ultra-modern are must-haves, then look elsewhere, but this is a perfect place for those content with traditional Maui accomodations and don't mind walking a few steps to see the ocean. The location was excellent, oppostie K2 beach, with enough shops and eateries within walking distance to keep you alive. SpeediShuttle will drop you off right at the building from the airport, but I would recommend a car for any sightseeing and trips to Safeway, the farmer's market, etc. I would certainly consider a repeat visit to one of Daniel's well-run apartments.

I appreciate your letting guests know about the Speedi-Shuttle also, an inexpensive way to get about the island for groceries, when staying without a car. I'm with you though . . . . there are way too many great things to see, to not rent a car at least part of the time. It can be done though. Between picking up some fresh fruit and some items for the grill, one can eat quite well for not a lot of money but the great restaurants right next door are hard to avoid. Fred's may be the best Mexican Restaurant I've ever been to, even in Mexico. Thanks for also passing on your dealings with me, as some people who have never directly dealt with an owner, may have questions. Do come back anytime, and so glad you enjoyed your stay.   My fiancee and I stayed here for a week before heading over to Kauai to get married. We'd visited Maui before and were hesitant about staying in the Kihei area--some of the properties in Kihei just aren't that nice. This studio turned out to be perfect. The location is great: just at the tail end of the "strip", still convenient to everything but not too busy. Beautiful beaches directly across the street, great little health food store five minutes' walk up the road. The studio was comfortable, clean, and pest-free (we did a thorough check for bedbugs, too). It's in the building farthest back from the road, and we didn't hear any noise from traffic or from neighbors. Having laundry in the unit was really convenient. The closet held beach equipment etc. (mats, boogie boards), and there was a cooler and ice pack that we ended up using every day. Daniel is friendly, professional, responsive and approachable. We would definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

  What a spectacular way to see Maui! The condo was perfect - had everything you would want or need to have for a relaxing vacation! Daniel was very informative and helpful and the condo was clean and well maintained. We liked having the wireless internet and our favorite part was waking up peacefully to the sound of tropical birds in the morning. Hands down the best place to stay for your vacation in Maui!

  Lovely, well-equipped condo - exactly like the photos! Beautiful grounds, with flowering tree tops surrounding the lanai. No street traffic sounds to disturb you, but within easy walking distance to several restaurants, shops and the beach is just across the street! You can just relax and be a beach bum, or if you have a rental car, and you want to do a little exploring, this is a great home base for exploring all of Maui! We took advantage of the nice new grills by the pool(s) one evening and had breakfast on the lanai most mornings, but there are plenty of restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. We were usually on the go during the day, but we were in Kihei one afternoon and walked to the Cafe O'Lei for a great fish lunch special - a lovely meal for a reasonable price. Great restaurants in Pa'ia (north shore) too! The owner was helpful, and provided several tips and recommendations for activities and restaurants. We would recommend this condo to our friends and family!

  This condo is perfectly appointed, everything we needed and more. We loved having coffee on the lanai every morning with the wonderful sunrise views! The customer service this owner and his maintenance staff provided was second to none! From initial booking all the way through the ultra fast deposit refund, we've never had a more friendly, helpful, welcoming and professional travel experience. We were very impressed by the immediate response (within 1hr) of the maintenance staff to a minor loose toilet handle repair issue and although we knew we would be receiving the deposit refund, when it showed up in our account the very next day after we returned home, we were delighted! This owner and his staff really bring the "Aloha" spirit to every aspect of what they do. If you want a quaint, practical, comfortable and affordable condo located 60 seconds from a wonderful beach with great snorkeling, great cafes, restaurants, shopping and spectacular pool area with gas grills, you can't go wrong by choosing this unit. It was prefect for us and allowed us to put our cash toward splurges like the best fish on the island at Mama's Fish House in Paia, a MUST DO treat!! Hope you have the same kind of dream vacation we had on Maui!

  My boyfriend and I stayed here last week and had a great time! The apartment is super clean and very convenient to Kam I/II/III, restaurants and water sport equipment rentals. The owner was really responsive and helpful with the apt booking and local recommendations. Couldn't have asked for a better host!

  This location is the best! It is as described and the pictures are accurate. I never heard traffic and rarely any people noise. The birds and the breeze were peaceful sounds. The view was fantastic. Sitting on the lanai was like sitting in the treetops, so many flowers and lush plants. The queen size bed was ok, but I'm used to a different style mattress. We were two adults and had plenty of room. The seating is stylish and comfortable. Internet worked great. The kitchen had everything we needed. The studio and the complex was very clean. I've stayed in Hawaii before and had an insect problem. Not so here. I would love to visit here again. The beach, good restaurants, and convenience stores are a short walk away. A rental car lets you see the whole island at your own speed, but there are many tours available if you are carless. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a fantastic stay in paridise. Mahalo

Nothing more relaxing than having the morning cup of Kona coffee on the lanai, with the gentle breeze and peaceful warblings of Mauis Fine Feathered Friends, while listening to the rustle of Palm Trees and the huge variety of tropical foliage.   We would highly recommend this unit, perfect for a couple. We have been going to Hawaii for years and this is one of the best condo units we've stayed in. The priceing is very resonable as well. The unit is very nicely furnished, sleeps 2-4 comfortably and has a great view. The unit is 1 block from one of the best beaches in Kihei, Maui the unit comes fully outfitted with all the beach and pool items needed including chairs, umbrella and beach mats and lots of towels, the pool area is great as well and has a two great grills as well. The unit also comes with a full kitchen with lots of dishes and pans for those who don't want to dine out every night. My husband and I had a great time and we plan on coming back again and again on are trip to Hawaii I highly recommend this unit. Aloha Nancy

  Perfect retreat for a couple who likes the sounds of birds and peace and quiet. It is a clean and nicely appointed suite. It is right across the street from Kamole Beach II. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance and Daniel gave us a list of great places to go. Wifi is available by the office or the first pool area. If you like to snorkel check out Turtle Town which is about a 10 minute drive just before Big Beach. Cafe Ole is a great place to eat and if you get over to Lahania check out Mixed Plate, nothing fancy but great food and service for a really good price. Flatbread Pizza in Piai' is the best, you might have to wait a bit but worth the wait. This was a great place to stay to spend some time in the sun. Thanks Daniel!

  We stayed in this studio for a week in April and it was PERFECT!!! This was our first vacation as a couple and this was a great place for two people looking to go someplace beautiful. We did not rent a car and were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We did rent scooters one day and rode out to Wailea and Makena and were able to go to different beaches and shops. There were great restaurants, stores, and beaches all around the Kihei Akahi complex. Daniel was great to work with and he really made sure your trip went on without a hitch! The studio was very clean when we arrived and all the necessities were there for your use (boogie boards, tennis rackets, and even chairs for the beach!) Everything was up to date in the studio and beautifully decorated. Overall this was a great stay and we will definitely be back again!!!
