We really enjoyed our stay here! Plenty of room, clean, safe for the little ones, close to town, owners very helpful & accommodating. The sunsets were pretty, the beach was close & we even had acess to a dock for our boat. I always loved Brant Lake & it was great to bring our own girls (1 & 5 yrs old) up to experience the beauty of the lake & its surrounding areas.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family of three (20 month old toddler) spent 3 days at this lovely home with some friends of ours and their 2 toddlers. The home was clean and had all the necessary amenities. It was also laid out in a way that made it easy for our 2 families to spend a weekend together, without feeling cramped or overly concerned about toddler hazards (doors to all the stairwells). The owner was incredibly considerate and responsive, and took extra effort to make sure that any child related concerns or issues were addressed before our time at the home. The best part of this house is definitely LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. The home is a 2 minute walk to a beautiful, sandy, kid-friendly and kid-safe beach on Brant Lake. It is a private beach, used by a small number of adjacent homes. The other members of this beach were incredibly generous with sharing their equipment and toys, and we felt very welcome. The lake is shallow for quite a distance, and small enough that the kids could run around without us being concerned about their safety every two seconds. For once, we were all able to have a relaxing, but fun vacation at this lovely home and lake, with all of our children. Renters should be aware that you may not have cell phone service, and there is no wi-fi. 3 out of the 4 adults didn't have cell service; but frankly it was great! It forced us to just enjoy being with each other and the environment. You can also just drive 1 mile down the road and pick-up service, or go to the public library in the nearby town to use their computers.Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed the beach..and view and were able to relax . Our neighbors welcomed your company. Come again Verizon cell service seems to work. Sprint does not service the area. Library has 24hr free WIFi as stated in our ad. In addition Cross Roads General Store has free WiFi. If requested I could leave an older cell phone at house for emergency. I have tested them dialing 911 and did contact an state police operator

Had a great family Adirondack vacation in this large Brant Lake home. Property is clean and well maintained and beds are really comfortable! Two levels of beautiful front deck views - heard Loons, saw Great Blue Herons as well as beautiful sunsets. Really cute beach with chaise lounges already there! House big enough to find your own quiet space if with a large group. Wave to passersby, they will all wave back - Lovely!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We've been staying at Iden's chalet since 1995. It's a large house with great views of the lake. Plenty of room for a family so you're not on top of each other when you're actually inside the house. The beach is great for children and adults it has a large shallow area and is all sand. It's perfectly located close to Lake George and Ticonderoga, there's more to do then you can do in a week.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We've been renting for a few years. The house is great for our family. We love enjoying our morning coffee and looking out at the peaceful lake on the deck. The kids love the beach, canoeing on the lake, fishing, and other activities nearby. It's a great place to relax!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Rates
Rental rates: May - September, $1295 per week with $500 refundable security. Special: September, two weeks for $1895 + $500 security. Security deposit must be paid in advance and will be returned if home is left in good condition. If necessary, cleaning costs will be deducted from security. Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday; rates are subject to change. Three day minimum rentals may be possible @$ 300 per night for 6; $450 security. Sheets and towels will not be supplied.

About the owner: Since the early "80"s our family has been and still enjoys this home as a vacation get away during all four seasons of the year . There is always something to do during every season. Aside from the usual outdoor activities such a hiking in the largest state park in" lower 48", kayaking( and other quiet boating), swimming, fishing there are additional fun day trips. We enjoy visiting Saratoga during "First Night", summer racing season, and evening concerts at SPAC ,Adirondack Museum in Blue Moutain, Lake Placid, hiking nearby Pharoh Mt. and other much easier trails , campfires, story hour at the Brant Lake library for young children, Dynamite Hill concerts, trips to nature preserves, family casual dining.
Why the Owner Chose Brant Lake:
We are avid skiers , hikers, sailors. This is a great place to really relax and kick back. There is free 24 hour WiFi available at the nearby library located at the town hall approximately one minute drive from our home. Library is well equipped with computers and has excellent programs for young children during summer. Shopping for supplies is easy in nearby Chestertown.
