Our nearly new condominium is located in The Salt Pond Community, just a two-minute drive from the white, sandy public beaches in Bethany Beach, Delaware. The community is built around an executive, 18-hole, par 61 golf course, and our unit overlooks the 15th hole. This course is no push over; water on half the holes and forced water carry of over 200 yards on two holes.
The Salt Pond community offers everything right at your doorstep. Besides the golf course, it offers a unique, 3 hardcourt tennis courts, a 50-meter outdoor swimming pool and large kiddie pool, a sand volleyball court, basketball court and shuffleboard.
In the club house is a 25-meter heated pool with a lap lane and a spacious spa (open September to June), and well-equipped health rooms with exercise equipment. Fishing ponds are located throughout the community and small boats can be used on the "salt pond," which is about 100 acres of protected salt water. Renters purchase recreation pass for a small fee.
Our two-story condominium features complete "beach" décor with a first-floor, master bedroom suite with king-size bed, private bath and walk-in closet. On the second floor we have a large bedroom with a king-size bed and walk-in closet, while the other bedroom has two twin beds; the two bedrooms share a full bath with double sinks. A queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area is on the first floor along with the kitchen with breakfast bar, a dining area to seat six to eight and a half bath. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with appliances and utensils.
A screened porch with wicker furniture provides a great area for relaxing, reading, or enjoying a cool one while watching golfers on the nearby green. The patio, which also overlooks the golf course, is great for eating or working on your tan. We also have a one-car garage to store your beach gear and sports equipment.
We provide high-speed, wireless Internet access,a ping-pong table and equipment, three TVs,2 VCRs, 2 DVD players, stereo/CD player, and a large selection of books, magazines,video collection, board games, puzzles and a croquet set for your enjoyment. Four bicycles are also available for easy riding over the flat terrain (bring your own helmets). We also provide 7 beach chairs and a large cooler for your use. There is also a gas grill for you barbeques.
Bethany Beach is a very laid-back, quiet beach town. If you get tired of the fabulous beaches, the small "down town" offers a wide variety of restaurants, ice cream shops, a boardwalk, and shopping for beach gear and vacation souvenirs. If you are looking for excitement, the amusements, deep sea fishing and other attractions of Ocean City is just 10 miles to the south, while tax-free shopping can be found at the discount malls, boutique shops and more great restaurants are in Rehoboth Beach, about 12 miles up the road.
Just a few miles north and south of Bethany Beach are two large Delaware beach state parks and Rehoboth Bay which offers boating and about every water sport you can think of. For more serious golfers, about a dozen championship courses are within a 45-minute drive, including 27 holes at Bear Trap Dunes, just 5 minutes away.

We were extremely pleased with the condo, specifically cleanliness, layout, convenience and decoration. Our stay was enjoyable compared to the Ocean City environment we were used to. Also, we enjoyed watching the golfers. Hope to rent again in 2008, and maybe a long weekend before next summer.

(Fourth visit!) Once again we had a wonderufl vacation here in Bethany. We took full advantage of all the great ammenities--walked around the the beautiful grounds with the kids and counted how many different animals we saw, collected pinecone and leaf "treasures" to take back home, used the pool, tennis courts, ping pong table and of course we were off to the beach as much as we could! Thanks agaian for the use of the condo.
