this place worked for us (4 girls on a 3-day getaway) perfectly! our stay mostly consisted of sitting on the deck, walking into town, eating and sleeping. this place was perfect for all those requirements! would recommend. pics were very accurate to how the place looked. thanks!
Owner response:Thanks so much Erin. I hope you and the gals can come back sometime soon. best wishes!

Great location in Hood River. Beautiful views of the river. Overall accommodations were disappointing. The photos were much better than the actual home Property is clean but poorly maintained. Kitchen , bath, and amenities are outdated. No screens on the windows, therefore lots of bugs and spiders. I would not recommend this property. There are better places for the money.
Owner response:I'm unsure why KJD would say there are no screens since every window has a screen and they have been in place all summer, most definitely during her stay at the home with friend JB. KJD did complain of a rash that developed during her time in Hood River. We later wondered if it came from the rental wetsuit worn all day long during her week of windsurfing lessons (developing a rash from extended wetsuit wear is common). In order to make absolutely sure nothing in the house was causing problems, I had a pest expert come on the same day that KJD mentioned it to me. The expert examined the house at length while KJD, JB and I were present. He gave it an A+ rating and found no evidence of any bugs. I even sent in a sample of something that KJD had found to a "bug lab". The lab reported back that it was not a bug, but part of a plant liked tracked into the house on a shoe. JB apologized for my trouble and told me I ran a great little rental.

My stay at Villa Bella was fantastic. The house offered amenities such as air conditioning, fully stocked kitchen (all i had to add was food) with a huge refrigerator, ample storage for gear and stuff, comfortable beds, large closets, televisions, amazing gas grill and a washer and dryer. Something many places don't have but Bella does is an outdoor shower so we didn't have to enter the house all sandy and such after being in the river all day. Then the deck, awesome views of the river and surrounding areas. Loved Villa Bella, can't wait to return.
Owner response:Thanks for your kind review Rachel. Hope to see you back in the 'hood soon. best wishes!

Villa Bella is an excellent vacation get-a-way. We loved the quiet neighborhood, luxurious king bed in the master bedroom, easy walk to downtown, and the beautiful nightly sunsets over Snowden Mountain. The private deck provides a full river view to check on the wind or to enjoy the panoramic vista featuring Mount Adams, and is equipped with a deluxe stainless infra-red grill and a large-sized hammock. Full basement and laundry facilities along with a covered parking spot make this house the perfect place to relax after a full day of activities in the Gorge. Local owner is easy to work with and very responsive to individual needs. We'll be back next year!!!
Owner response:Thanks John & Elizabeth. It was a pleasure to have you at the house and hope to see you again next year.

We enjoyed the time we spent staying at Villa Rosa last June. We found the house to be charming and clean. The deck facing the river was a fantastic spot for outdoor meals. It also worked well for us as we were traveling with a young child and this enabled us to be outdoors but not having to worrying about keeping her contained in a yard setting. We loved walking to all of the fantastic local restaurants downtown and took advantage of this on each of our days there. We would stay in this house again, and in fact tried to do so this year but we left our booking too late and it was all booked up!
Owner response:Hi Rebecca, Thanks so much for your kind review and your business. I sincerely hope we'll see you back again in the near future. best wishes! Janelle

We had a great time in the Gorge and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the beautiful deck. We had a blast hiking around Lost Lake and dipping toes into the water. We hope to be back someday.

We truly enjoyed our first stay at the Villa Rosa. Watching the windsurfers from the deck during the day and gazing up at the stars at night - amazing! We will return in the ski season. Thanks for everything, it was perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The week was fantastic wth the perfect amount of fun in the sun. The wind was great, the mountain biking was also awesome. This was the first of many more trips to the Gorge for this couple. Thanks for the great acomodations. Enjoyed the view from the deck immensely.

Villa Rosa rocks! Best location in Hood River - walk to everything and bike to the beach. Solid wind for 2 weeks and the best microbrews south of the (canadian) border! Cheers!

We had a very good time in Hood River. The house was ideally located with such a good view of the river and Mt Adams. The hiking was great - the best was Dog mountain on the Washington side at mile marker 53, Highway 14. The waterfalls along hwy 30 were well worth the drive. We will recommend and someday come back. Thanks.
