We had a wonderful time again in one of Jody's cabins(homes). We loved all the room, the fireplace, the kitty who was so friendly, the deer right out front, the peaceful private location. The home is so pretty. I just loved the log bed, master bathroom, and living room, esp.. Also our son liked the family room on the main floor. The stove was so nice and kept the room nice and cozy. We appreciate the Internet and Sat. TV. The home even had a pool table etc. in the game room downstairs. I wish I had time to play a game or two. It was nice to be able to walk down the long lane. Thank you again, Jody for sharing your nice home with us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This house is perfect for large families, and who prefer a more private feel than staying right in town. We have 5 children and they LOVED the place. Everything was nice and clean with a very nice welcome gift. Furniture was in great shape and nice quality. Surrounding area is wooded with a nice secluded feel. Not too far from town, but far enough to experience a more relaxed setting. The location of this house was perfect for our family, as we were wanting to see various sights in all directions of the house - Jewel Cave, Devil's Tower, Spearfish Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Custer State Park, Mammoth Site, etc.. And then there was the cat. Our kids LOVED the cat. I would absolutely rent this house again. Hope to return and hike the many trails that we did not have time for.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is the perfect vacation get-away for visiting in the Black Hills. Private, secluded, peaceful and relaxing - we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The home is clean, charming and very comfortable. It was also convenient to everything we wanted to get out and do - Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Lead, etc. Our favorite part of the day was having coffee on the front porch while watching the deer graze in the front pasture - AND playing with the sweet cats that make this home their own. Jody - the owner - was a very responsive hostess when we had a question about anything. We highly recommend this property and we will be back when we decide on another black hills adventure. Thank you for everything.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had an excellent time at the cabin! We arrived relatively late in the day, 4:30 a.m., and the cabin was very welcoming, lights were on and ready for our arrival. The cabin itself is amazing, very clean, well stocked with everything we could have imagined. The location is perfect for all the sights and adventures the area holds! We unfortunately left one day earlier than planned to ease the long trip home on ourselves and the children. Thank you for the wonderful time at your cabin! Definitely would recommend this to others!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This VRBO is much more than the listed property description. The home has a relaxing ambience and the grounds are peaceful. The photos of the place are beautiful but it so much better in person. If you stay here, you truly have the best of both worlds - country tranquilty within an easy drive of all the area attractions. There is so much room for privacy if you are traveling with multiple parties. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The owner was easy to work with and very friendly. I highly recommend staying here.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your kind words! Glad you enjoyed it, and hope to see you here again in the Hills.

This home was absolutely perfect for my family! It was in a great location -- only 2 miles from Custer, which had everything we needed, and yet at the end of a dead end road, so there was no traffic noise, etc. We saw deer crossing the driveway every time we drove on it! The house was very clean and well-maintained. There was MORE THAN ENOUGH room for my family, which consisted of 7 adults and 2 small children. The home was well stocked, and the owner was friendly and helpful. I could have stayed for a month! It was very close to all the big attractions (Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park). We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This incredible vacation home is conveniently set in the midst of major tourist attractions, yet nestled into a wonderfully peaceful, wooded, secluded location. A beautiful home - very clean, spacious & comfortable, warm & welcoming, well stocked with various amenities/necessities - it definitely played a major role in our awesome Black Hills vacation! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
