  We just returned from a week-long stay with our family of six. How many times can you say, "wow!" Situated on the 9th floor of this renovated complex, this corner unit offers stunning panoramic views of the Pacific from the master suite, living room and dining room, with direct views of Lana'i and Moloka'i. Located in Kahana, northwest of Lahaina, this west-side location on Maui offers soothing tradewinds day and night. Air conditioning is available, but we rarely used it. Just open the sliding doors and a few windows -- and let the natural breeze keep you cool. Sleep to the sounds of the surf and wakeup to blue skies dotted with fluffy white clouds. Have breakfast on the veranda. Take a dip in the pool. Snorkel at the beach. Tired of paying sky high prices for meals? No problem. A compact but gourmet kitchen awaits you -- complete with range/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, blender, and all the utensils you need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner for a full family. The condition of the unit is first-rate. Well maintained, clean, in understated earth tones that give focus to the blue Pacific. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and an en suite bathroom with tub/shower combo. There's another half bath/powder room near the foyer. Nearby, there's plenty to do. We really enjoyed some of more local beaches, such as Napili Bay Beach and some of the nearby state park beaches such as DT Flemming. Or, check out Kahekili Beach Park just near one of the Westin resorts and just a few minute drive from the Royal Kahana. In the area, you have a choice of several restaurants including some good local finds (like Thai food in the Napili shopping center) or elegant dining at the Plantation, with stunning views of the ocean. In nearby Lahaina, you have all the tourist trappings you'd expect to find on Maui and more tee-shirt shops than you can imagine. Take a day trip to Lana'i via catamaran. Go snorkeling and keep an eye out for sea turtles and even an occasional small reef shark. So much to do, this condo is in a great location -- close enough to lots of action yet situated in a quiet enclave near some of the best swimming and snorkeling beaches on Maui. This was an unforgettable trip and the accommodations made it all worthwhile. Thank you!

  Just returned from a great vacation at Royal Kahana on Maui. This unit is as beautiful as the pictures show and the view is breathtaking from the large wraparound lanai on the 9th floor. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed and the closet held plenty of beach items. Using an access code to enter was much more convenient than having to keep track of an entry key or pass card. This is a very spacious unit for 2 couples. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and beach. The concierge was very helpful in planning activies. We called Chasin Rainbows for a minor repair and it taken care of quickly by a knowledgable and pleasant serviceman. The wifi is too expensive. We would definitely recommend this unit to any Maui vacationers.

  Everything about this property and this unit are first rate. From the sweeping views of Molokai, Lanai and the Big Island, to the beautiful coffee-colored sand on the beach framed by a lawn and pool area, this place far exceeded our expectations. Since it was close to Kaanapali and Kapalua, we went to the beaches there a few times, but our teenaged son said he was just as happy staying at the condo because it had everything that anyone would want right there. The unit is nicely decorated with all the amenities that you'd expect. We also made great use of the barbeques down by the pool which helped keep the dining costs down. Speaking of dining and what-not, right across the street from us was a great brew pub, plus a McDonalds, just down the road is Lahaina and Kaanapali, which had all the great restaurants you'd want. As for local attractions, as said above, if you only checked in and never left the property, you'd still have a great time. But, with the other beaches close by, it's good to get out and explore a little bit. If you are into running or walking, there's a great beach-walk (pathway made of trex) that runs for miles along the Kaanapali shore. Additionally, if you work out, there is a gym on site at the condo. Nothing too spectacular, but serviceable. The shopping was so-so, but that goes for the whole island. We did find a cool hike about an hour and fifteen minutes away, on the Hana Highway called Twin Falls. The property is well-maintained and the staff is friendly and attentive. In short, I would most definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. In fact, we have made it our top choice for Maui and plan on returning for years to come. I don't think you can go wrong. You'll find yourself out on the balcony with your coffee every morning looking down on the palms and the waves, then doing the same thing with cocktail in hand at the end of the day as the sun sets on another perfect day.
