  Part 1 - Just returned from one of the best vacations my wife and I have ever experienced and the GRAND OUTLOOK CASTLE played a large part in that experience. I have always wanted to experience a true Caribbean vacation while staying in a luxurious, private villa that makes you feel "special" every moment you are at the villa. Since Anguilla is our favorite Caribbean island, I began searching for a villa on Anguilla that would meet my needs and desires. I had three other adult couples, friends, who had never been to Anguilla, interested in joining us. We were 4 couples, in our late 40's to early 60's. GOC was one of the very few villas I was able to find where all four MASTER BEDROOMS were equal in terms of their size and comfort for 4 adult couples. All with king size beds, their own master bathrooms, walk in closets, safes, private balconies, dual sinks, etc. Plus, the layout of the bedrooms in the house were perfect for 4 couples. Each bedroom on the opposite side of the villa with two bedrooms on the main floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. Two bedrooms had outdoor showers (Which we love!!) and two had indoor showers. Needless to say, we were able to have one of the bedrooms with the outdoor showers. After viewing photos of the GOC, all our friends were definitely interested. This was in the fall of 2011!!! My wife and I had an Anguilla vacation planned for January, 2012. So when I contacted Paul, the owner, I explained I was interested in his villa but not until the spring of 2013. "Great!" he said. I explained that my wife and I would be in Anguilla January 2012 and wondered if he could arrange a quick tour of the Castle for us while in Anguilla. This he did through the housekeeper Eileen (more on her later) and we received a 15 minute tour of the entire villa, taking photos that we were able to share with the other 3 couples, confirming the beauty and magnificence of the GOC. This level of service and help is the norm with Paul, the owner. (As I'll highlight more later). So when we returned from our Anguilla January 2012 vacation, we immediately reserved the week of April 20-27, 2013 at the Castle for us and our friends. As other guests have noted, Paul mails his guests a packet a few weeks before their arrival with tons of information to help make their stay in Anguilla and GOC as enjoyable as possible. Even though we were repeat visitors to Anguilla, I still found much of the info Paul had mailed to us useful. (To be continued)

  After reading the reviews of GOC and talking extensively with the owners we had very, very high expectations as we headed south....and yet they were exceeded on every front!! The pre-trip information flow is extremely helpful and incorporates Paul and Elise's vast knowledge about the island. On arrival the staff, led by Eileen and Derrick, make you immediately feel comfortable and at-home....throughout our stay they were always available and yet never intrusive. On our last evening they prepared a lobster dinner that was every bit as good as any of the gourmet meals we experienced in the island's fine restaurants. While nearly impossible to believe until you are there, the pictures of the views from GOC do not come close to doing it justice; we like to think we are experts on world-class views and sunsets and this setting is as special as any we have ever experienced! The home is comfortably furnished and the layout creates complete privacy between the four bedroom suites (outdoor showers, tvs, and large private porches with each) while the enormous, open living room can accommodate any and all activities. In terms of important details for us, the internet and phone service is terrific and the tv/music/movie setup is more than adequate....but we quickly came to realize that those details were not nearly as important as choosing from the many deck locations for watching the harbor activity, sunsets and incredible skies. GOC is a bit off the beaten path but we soon discovered that the location was a major plus since we were relatively near most everything on the island but not in the middle of anything. A quick note on Anguilla....the beaches, the outstanding but low key restaurants, the music and, most important, the friendliness of the people combine to make this the crown jewel of the Caribbean despite (or because of) the small population and relatively limited publicity. Our only hesitation in writing this review is that we intend to come back often and hope that things never change on Anguilla or at The Castle!!

  Our family had four adults and three children on our recent vacation to Grand Outlook Castle on Anguilla during Easter break! Prior to our stay, Paul and Elise were equal to having your own personal concierge to help you plan your trip. From the details of with whom you can leave your luggage, to taxis from Blowing Point, to snorkel excursions to Prickly Pear, to Calvin taking you to Little Bay to snorkel, to where you may want to have lunch and dinner---it was all just so easy because of their suggestions and their wanting you to have a wonderful vacation at GOC. The house is absoultely exceptional. We have been to numerous islands over the years. We have stayed in various accomadations from large resorts, to boutique hotels, to homes. GOC beats them all--hands down. We truly enjoyed each evening by the pool (or in the pool!) watching the sunset with our family. The mornings were just as nice from the pool as we watched sea turtels swim below in Crocus Bay and saw the boats that had ventured in overnight. The enite house is decorated beautifully. The suites are incredilbe and the outdoor showers with views are a must. Thank you, Paul and Elise, for sharing your wonderful home with me and my family!

  My family had a wonderful vacation here in March 2013. Paul & Elise could not have been more helpful and helped to make this one of the best vacations we've ever been on. The property is incredibly well maintained and the views from the deck are breath-taking. We felt on top of the world and would recommend Grand Outlook castle to big groups. We were two parents and 4 adult sibling (2 with spouses) and we all felt like we had enough space! I can't wait to go back!

  In a nutshell: Thank you Paul and Elise for a spectacular vacation! Grand Outlook exceeded all of our expectations! The house was better than it appears in pictures on the web. The bedrooms were spacious and we loved the outdoor showers. The main living area and kitchen were grand, and perfect for entertaining or chilling out. But mostly, we LOVED the breathtaking views and spent most of our time there on the pool deck. Spectacular sunsets, lots of fun watching sailboats and yachts intermittently drop anchor for the night. So peaceful and perfect breezes. We loved the grounds too--very private and well maintained and cared for variety of trees, flowers and shrubs. We even went on walks around the neighborhood and discovered some great trails and secluded beach. The location of GOC is centrally located to access all of the island within a 20 minute drive, which we really appreciated since it was our first time to Anguilla and we wanted to check out a variety of the beaches...which are the best beaches we have ever stepped foot on! The owners of GOC, Paul and Elise, were simply the best. We booked the villa almost a year in advance, and from the very beginning, Paul and Elise were incredibly responsible and flexible in meeting our needs...from negotiating the specific week of our rental, to travel arrangements, to grocery store and restaurant recommendations...the trip went flawlessly in large part because of them! And Eileen, the housekeeper, was a total treat. When we first arrived at the castle, she was waiting for us with a beautiful smile and freshly made rum punch! Would highly recommend the GOC to families, couples, friends looking for a getaway...it works for everyone! We had 6 adults (ages 41-70) and 2 children (6 and 9 yrs old), and we all were totally comfortable and relaxed. Kids loved the pool! As did the adults! We hope to be back again! Thanks again, Paul, Elise and the wonderful people of Anguilla! Special mention of places we particularly adored: Blanchard's restaurant and Beach Shack (dined there multiple times--some of the best meals of our lives), Shoal Bay East beach and Rendevous Bay, Mt Gay rum and drinking from fresh coconut, kayaking around Crocus Bay and the sunsets at GOC!!!

  We had been to anguilla before and stayed at Cap Juluca. Cap Juluca was great and the beach was beautiful, but staying at a "resort" often limits your "experience" of an island nation/paradise. Often, the only thing you see is the resort and maybe a few restaurants/bars/shops. This was a delayed honeymoon for us, so we decided to try staying at a villa this time. Having never stayed at a villa before, we were a little apprehensive about the whole process. But we were so relieved and amazed at how simple and seamless Paul, the owner of Grand Outlook, made this whole process. The villa itself earns a 5-star rating, but Paul's attention to detail, customer service, and simply making sure that your time on anguilla (and at his villa) were going to be the most stress-free vacation days you've ever spent in your life earns him a 5-star rating as well. He sent us the most detailed welcome packet that one could imagine, which included a map of anguilla with no less than 40 hand-written notes of places to go, places to see and places to eat. Having been to anguilla before, we thought we knew anguilla, but Paul made us feel like first-time visitors, which was awesome! In addition to the welcome packet, Paul emailed me in the weeks leading up to our departure and even called the day before just to see if I had any questions or needed anything further. This was a classy touch. The villa is simply amazing and the photos do not do it justice. Sitting on a cliff overlooking Crocus Bay, it affords the best sunset views on the island. The finishes inside and out are top-notch, and the infinity pool literally sits on the edge of a 150-200 ft cliff. Talk about dramatic flair, hahaha. Paul had arranged for a rental car to be waiting for us at the villa. This made the rental process so simple. We made fast use of the car and literally explored the entire island. Stopping off for multiple photo opportunities, lunch at local restaurants that many visitors never see, I believe we saw 24 of the islands 33 beaches. Driving around the island and dining at the numerous restaurants, we quickly realized that Paul was well connected. The restaurant hosts/owners would ask where we were staying and then their faces would light up and go on and on about Paul and the views from Grand Outlook. Anguilla is a special place and Grand Outlook is the place to stay if you want the best view on the island, extreme privacy and the best customer service we've ever experienced. We can't wait to return

  The Grand Outlook Castle is truly an amazing villa! Months before we arrived the owners made sure we had all the information we needed to make the most of our trip. Sending us a map of the island with recommendations of beaches to visit, restaurants to try and much more. When we arrived Elieen showed us around this BEAUTIFUL villa. Touring each room in amazement we saw large open spaces, indoor/outdoor showers, tile floors and all the amenities one could imagine. When we reached the master bedroom and stepped out on the patio we enjoyed one of the most beautiful sunsets ever! To sit in the infinity pool listening to the waves crash below, sipping an island drink and watching the sunset create a painting of multiple colors across the sky is certainly a sight to see. And where better to see it than the Grand Outlook Castle. I can't imagine a better place on the island to watch another fun filled day come to a close. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to enjoy your piece of paradise for a week. It was an amazing week for us all.

  WOW! What a truly fantastic place. My wife and I have been going to the Carribean for 32 years and stayed in some very nice places. We have been to 20+ islands. Grand Outlook Castle is our favorite. The villa is beautiful. Great house, great view. This was our first trip to Anguilla, but will not be our last. The island contains the friendliest people on any island we have ever been to. They seem to be truly glad you are there. We always felt safe. Great beaches and great beach bars. Just relax and exhale!! I figured this was a bunch of hooey. Well it is not. Paul and Elise made everything so easy. You felt more like you were going to use your best friends house then renting. If there is anything they could do to make you feel more welcome or make it easier on you, I don’t know what it could be. I have told a young partner of mine that as nice as (we) and then (he) has stayed on St. John, this place is so much better. I think he has already booked Grand Outlook Castle. This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a positive review of a hotel or villa, but then this is the first time I have stayed at Grand Outlook Castle - but it will not be the last.

  Oh my Gosh, the views from every room were magnificent, especially looking out to the ocean from the balcony. We saw sea turtles everyday, which was incredible. The house was everything I had expected and more. Eileen was very sweet and helpful. She escorted us to the grocery store our first day, and made us feel at home.The Island of Anguilla is by far my favorite Island. Staying at the Grand Outlook Castle made the whole vacation complete. Everyone on the Island was very friendly and helpful. My favorite place to eat was at The Straw Hat. Not only was the veiw from Meads Bay an image to capture, the staff was extremley friendly. The GOC is a must stay. We will definitely be coming back to once again expirience the best vacation i have had so far.

  The Grand Out Look Castle was everything we imagined and more. The house was very clean and gorgeous. My favorite part of the house was the patio area and pool. The patio had a perfect view of Crocus Bay right below and a perfect place to watch the sunrise and sunset on the Ocean. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Eileen made sure we had everything we needed including Rum Punch ;) Not only was the house amazing but the Island of Anguilla itself. Everyone was so friendly and made you feel at home. All the beaches we went to were by far the prettiest beaches I've ever seen. We went to Meads Bay, Crocus Bay, Little Bay and Shoal Bay. We loved the Straw Hat resturant on Meads Bay. The food there was delicious and we enjoyed getting to know the friendly staff there. I also highly recommed taking a boat to Prickley Pear Island. On Prickely Pear we had delicious food, all kinds of Coloadas ( banana was my favorite!) and snorkeling. Before we left the Island we were all already talking about how we can't wait to come back next year! Definetly a five star vacation all the way around.

  We went to Outlook castle for our 15 year wedding anniversary. We went with three other couples. This was the most amazing vacation ever from start to finish. First of all Paul and Elise helped us plan everything and made sure our adventure getting there and home were flawless. The castle itself is gorgeous even better than the photos online. Each room was beautiful and had incredible views. The outdoor living space and pool was the perfect place to end each day. We went to several beaches while we were there and they were all so beautiful. I have never been to an island were every beach you go to looks like a postcard. It was like no matter where you went you could not lose. The snorkeling was great right off shore everywhere we went. The people were so friendly, if you get lost pull over and ask someone they are always so nice and willing to help. I could not say enough good things about this place. On a scale of 1-10 this place is a 13. I have traveled around the world and this is my new favorite place by far. We will be back again soon. Aileen the housekeeper was wonderful too always helping us with anything we needed. If your thinking about the castle I would say book it you won't regret it. Stacy, your unique math skills here are a wonderful statement and one that we will truly cherish. It's not easy to score a "10" or even a "9" on occasion with guests though we try but a "13"? WOW! Now that's a number we will gladly try a "back handspring double full dismount" for. We just need a volunteer from our staff to give it a sincere try. Of course, as you know, all our efforts for our guests are sincere. You have also described well the beaches of Anguilla as picture "postcard" like. In 2007, the Travel Channel rated Anguilla as having "The Best Beaches in the World". Most visitors to Grand Outlook Castle would agree. On Anguilla, the government has worked to keep the beaches pristine. There is certainly some beach development on Anguilla but no building is to be built higher than the highest palm tree in the area so most of the beaches have remained uncluttered and intimate. There have been a few exceptions but there are plenty of pristine beaches to visit and enjoy with that unique and calming beach experience shared with few if any other fortunate souls who find themselves also virtually alone on a "picture postcard" beach.   Anyone contemplating the island of Anguilla and Grand Outlook Castle should not hesitate for a minute to complete the reservation now. You will not be disappointed in any way!!! My husband and I have traveled to Anguilla every year since 1997 and can attest to the fact that you will not find more lovely hosts than Paul and Elise, or a more beautifully situated home than Grand Outlook Castle. From the moment you walk through the doors you will feel absolutely at home. Don't stop to admire the comfortable furnishings or the gourmet kitchen... run to the back doors and step onto the patio so that you can instantaneously begin enjoying the view. By far one of the best on the island! Kick off your shoes, dip your feet in the pool, feel every molecule of stress leave your body. We spend many, many hours out back and will never get enough of it. You can be quite comfortable poolside each day, but there are so many amazing beaches that you should definitely rent a car and explore, explore, explore. Go for some of the more remote locations and you will not be disappointed. Depending on the time of the year, you will likely be the only people bobbing in the water that day. We like the off season (June/July) for this very reason. Nothing more appealing than a bit of solitude! Every place is safe. Find a beach with a restaurant, get a chair and an umbrella, and take some time to enjoy. After a meal and a rum punch you can finish the afternoon with a nap. Ahhh... it doesn't get any better than this. We have it down to a science. :) The island also has more restaurants than you can possibly patronize on one trip... the most difficult decisions we face each visit center around where to go to eat. If you are inclined to eat at home you have everything you need and a dream kitchen. As for us, we prefer to let the chef's of the island know how much we LOVE their creations so we are forced to endure the terrible task of narrowing the list to fit the number of nights of our stay. It has never happened that we've left the island having visited all of our favorites; it's just not possible with so many from which to choose. I wish we could return today, but I am afraid we have a bit of a wait before our next visit. In the meantime, introduce yourself to Anguilla and Grand Outlook Castle. You will fall in love with it all. We have, and we will continue to return year, after year, after year. We have found our island and we hope that you will too.

  My husband and I stayed at GOC in June for our 20th Anniversary. It was everything and more we had hoped it would be. It was our first trip to Anguilla and Paul made the trip seamless. He provided detailed arrival instructions, restaurant and grocery store reviews and marked everything for us on a map. He even rented a car for us. It was the most relaxing couples trip we have ever been on. We didn't want to come home! The views from the house are breathtaking and the house itself is beautiful. The pool and outdoor shower were our favorite. We can't wait to go back!

  We had the most extraordinary experience created by Paul and Elise in taking care of us to ensure a hassle free arrival along with their well appointed villa complete with everything we needed to relax and "exhale" after a very long day of travel. You cannot find a better sunset anywhere on the island than you have at Grand Outlook. Truly breathtaking. We felt extremely pampered in the beauty of the villa, the view from every room, along with the colorful gardens and serenity of the area around us. The location for us was perfect as we felt we discovered a jewel in DaVida. The food there was devine, the service impeccable, and we met the most amazing person in Mayra. She is truly the finest example of customer service on the island. Awesome person. It was a great trip and one for the memory books for sure. Truly perfection at every juncture.

  My husband and I along with our two daughters spent 10 days in Anguilla in the comforts of GOC. The location of the house is perfect..... it's proximity to amenities and it's actual setting, perched on a hill overlooking the expanse ocean. We enjoyed the house immensely... it is grand but also intimate in design. It is the perfect home to enjoy your family and friends. The home was private, clean, comfortable and equipped with ample kitchen accessories. The staff that is affiliated with this property were outstanding. The service was gracious and timely. I would recommend the island as well.....hands down one of our most relaxing vacations. With Gratitude to Paul, Elise and Eileen for giving us 10 days of bliss with our girls.

  Don't hesitate to book this vacation because in my opinion, you will not do better on the island of Anguilla. I discovered the Grand Outlook Castle online as I was searching for just the right place to celebrate a "milestone" birthday. I knew right away that this was the place, although you never know what things will really be like when you get there, and no the photos were not accurate--- real life was so much better! 8 of us, all very close friends, walked into the house and stood agape, as we made our way out onto the stone patio overlooking Crocus Bay. The views were the best water views I had ever seen. The entire house is made of stone, and has a completely open floor plan. Every bedroom is exceptional, so it doesn't matter which one you score because they're all good. If you don't want to walk up stairs, take the right one off the living room. They all have balconies that overlook the endless sea. The infinity pool is to die for, and is about 7 feet in the middle so you feel like you're swimming on top of the world. Every day about 20 or so goats would graze across the greenery as we watched from above. Often times an egret would be near by, almost posing for the camera. It was so quiet, serene, and peaceful---we never wanted to leave. We went to all the beaches, but couldn't wait to get home by 4:30 for a long, langourous sunset, which btw are simply gorgeous. We even had some rain, but we didn't care. It is THAT BEAUTIFUL! Here's the thing. We we will be back. We talked about all the places to go in the world, and how going to the same place seems idiotic, but when we got back to the States, after half a day, we changed our minds. We've decided it IS OKAY to go back to the same place! And I would never consider going back to Anguilla and not stay at the Castle. What can I say about Paul and Elise? They are the consumate hosts that I've never met, but every detail of our stay was or seemed to be pre-arranged. We were greeted by Eileen who has a smile bigger than the sun, who helped us find our way around, and taximan, and other folks who were eager to help us. No detail was left for the imagination, including pick up, rent a cars, where to eat, get the best sandwich, and how to stay safe and feel at home. This was absolutely the BEST BIRTHDAY of my life, and if I were you, and I wish I was right about now, I would book it! Thank you Elise and Paul for far exceeding our expectations and for a lifetime of memories. We shall meet again...

  Anguilla is clearly a special island for my wife and I, this trip was our 20th anniversary and back to the island where we spent our honeymoon and numerous vacations since. This was the first time we rented a villa on the island, and the first time we brought friends, 3 other couples, who made the trip even more incredible, but to top it off, staying at the Grand Outlook Castle made everything that much better. To start off, working with Paul & Elise almost seems too good to be true, but they are truly genuine people who care about your experience. Staying at Grand Outlook Castle is an experience people dream about, I honestly think you would be hard pressed to stay at a resort/hotel in anguilla after having stayed at Grand Outlook Castle

  Grand Outlook Castle was a fabulous place to celebrate our very special 25th wedding anniversary in November 2011. Our preplanning with the owners, Paul and Elise, was so easy. They pleasantly answered all of our many questions and went above and beyond to make this special time more memorable for us, even so far as providing a bottle of our favorite wine with chilled glasses waiting in the frig to help us relax and enjoy our first night at the castle. Because of the elevation of the castle, one of the highest points on the island, it provided sweeping ocean views that were magnificent. Paul and Elise’s slogan “Just Exhale” is exactly what we did while sitting on the terrace overlooking the infinity pool and beautiful ocean. We went to various beautiful white sand beaches daily, soaked up the sun, swam in the azure water and returned in the afternoon to watch the cute little goat parade at the castle around 4:00. The goats make a daily trek by the castle, with several kids in tow. So sweet. We would then have a glass wine, watch the sunset, and go to dinner at one of the many absolutely fantastic restaurants on Anguilla. After dinner, we’d return to the castle and stargaze. The night sky revealed an incredible abundance of stars, more than we’ve ever seen. Just beautiful!! The castle was large for just my husband and me, but we thoroughly enjoyed the beauty, the space, the attention to detail in the design of the castle, and the many balconies and outside terraces. We intend to invite several couples back with us on our next trip. The gardens were lush and many gorgeous and fragrant flowers were in bloom. We found the people of Anguilla to be very gracious and hospitable, some of the nicest we’ve ever met in our travels to the Caribbean. Overall, we’d have to say that the castle is simply amazing, and the island of Anguilla and its lovely people have stolen our hearts. We will return to Grand Outlook Castle and Anguilla again.

  My heart was set on going to Cap Juluca or Cuisinart for a much needed vacation until a friend came upon the Grand Outlook Castle (GOC). After looking at the photos and reading all the reviews, we (2 couples) decided to book the Castle. First and foremost, the owners, Paul & Elise Alegria, will go over every detail of your trip before you ever leave for Anguilla. They are personable, charming and as hospitable as anyone you could find in a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. They also employ a couple to oversee your vacation in Anguilla, Eillen & Derrick, who will fill in as hosts in the Alegria's absence. Eileen & Derrick prepared an incredible lobster feast for us that was worthy of a Bon Appetit cover ! On commenting on Derrick's tee shirt with the Grand Outlook emblem, Eileen had 4 shirts made for us the next day and brought them over to us before we left. What thoughtfulness and hospitality ! Everything that has been written about the Castle is true. It is very beautiful ..as you walk in the front door,the view beyond the infinity pool to the sea is absolutely breathtaking ! The house has every amenity you can think of....outdoor showers are sheer bliss. Pictures do not begin to show how beautiful the setting is with unmatched views in every direction. Even though the island was still not in season, we had plenty of restaurants to enjoy....E's oven, Tasty's, Veya, Ripples, La Dolce Vita, Valley Bistro were all wonderful. Shoal Bay East was our favorite beach...we went to Elodia's and happily lazed away the days in comfy lounge chairs with umbrellas. We'll keep that turquoise water, the warmth of friendly Anguillans and happy days & nights at the castle in our thoughts until we can return again.

  Paul and Elise Val and I hardly no where to start to thank you for making our first time abroad an incredible experience.All the details that were taken care of long before we arrived assured it was a holiday we will for ever remember. From Wendel who picked us up to Derrick and Ilene who greeted us at the castle we knew you had us well taken care of . The castle is truly fit for a king and queen and thats what we felt like on this holiday.The gardens are just amazing and the decor of the castle so beautiful and welcoming. You told us about the view out off the deck of the infinity pool which was not only breathtaking but so calming as well. Anquilla could easily become our second home . We felt so welcome and comfortable with all the amazing Anguillian people all over the island. While laying in the infinity pool we felt more relaxed than we've ever felt before.   My husband, adult daughter and her boyfriend spent a glorious week at Grand Outlook Castle in August 2011. From the moment we stepped onto the property to the moment we (sadly) left, we had nothing but a feeling of utter relaxation and enjoyment! Paul and Elyse were wonderful to work with leading up to our departure. Paul spent hours on the phone and via email helping us plan every day of our visit and thanks to him, we didn't waste any time settling into GOC and getting to know the peaceful island of Anguilla. The beautiful pictures and videos we took, although gorgeous, do not do justice to the actual beauty of the vistas you get from Paul and Elyse's wonderful home. Grand Outlook Castle is gorgeous inside and out and is meticulously maintained by a wonderful couple who can help you with any questions and suggestions on how to most enjoy the island. We cooked in many nights...how can you resist the view? And the outdoor kitchen was a breeze to work with. Restaurant meals were delightful as well. We enjoyed simple beach food as well as spectacular meals in restaurants with amazing views. The beaches on Anguilla deserve their reputation as the top beaches in the Caribbean ! So many and so different! Our stay at Grand Outlook Castle ranks #1 of our family's vacations.Can't wait to return!

  We have visited the amazing island of Anguilla every year since 1997. When our beloved Rendezvous Bay Hotel closed we began our search for our new Anguillan 'home'... in July, 2010 we found it! Our 2010 stay was more than perfect. And, now having just completed our second stay at Grand Outlook Castle on July, 16, 2011 we all emphatically exclaimed again, we cannot wait for next year!! Everything about this villa is spectacular and the views top it all! Don't fret a rainy day... you will be rewarded with the most magnificent smell of honeysuckle filling the villa and the master bathroom shower each day. Paul and Elise could not be more responsive to every need and they go way above and beyond to assure a perfect stay. My family and I cannot be more grateful to them for sharing their wonderful home with each of us and for all they did to ensure that we had nothing more to do at Grand Oultook than to relax.   After 10 hours of travelling, we had no idea what a wonderful experience was waiting for us. We showed up at the house and Eileen and Wendell's wife were waiting on us. Eileen showed us around the property while Wendell's wife filled out the information for our car rental, which was thoughtfully waiting for us outside. The beaches are beyond compare and the people were absolutely the nicest we've ever seen (one person we met called ahead of us to a restaurant they recommended and bought us each a glass of wine!!). From start to finish this was a wonderful experience. Paul and Elise were available for any questions we had, and called us several times while we were on the island just to make sure the experience was everything we had hoped for. They also kept in touch with us during the almost two years we had planned for our honeymoon here! It was better than we had hoped for. We have told all our friends about it and can't wait to be back!!!

"It was better than we hoped for." certainly made us ALL at Grand Outlook Castle feel great!. Together, we were able to confidently plan Mark & Larissa's honeymoon two years prior because Grand Outlook Castle includes travel insurance in our "honeymoon package". That automatic policy would have repaid them all their deposit money as long as the reason for their cancellation was anything BUT "cold feet". Literally, every other circumstance was covered as part of our honeymoon package so they could confidently "know" their honeymoon would become a reality the way they had both envisioned. It really was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to work with Mark & Larissa in planning their most intimate and most personal celebration. It truly is now our pleasure to know it was most successful. At Grand Outlook Castle we can receive no greater compliment from our guests than what these newlyweds wrote here...   Outlook Castle was a perfect and gorgeous place that we were able to share with great friends to celebrate our 30th Anniversary! From the moment you enter and see that view of the ocean, that was it! Beautiful interior, extremely well done. A favorite were the outdoor showers, they were wonderful ( nothing like wanting your sunglasses while taking a shower!) Paul and Elise a fantastic owners of this home and are so wonderful and accommodating into making sure that you get to experience the most of the home and the island! From our personal favorites are: BarrellStay for dinner, could have gone there everynight. Divida, which is on a great quiet beach and has a view of the villa, great for lunches and dinners (also a must, pack a cooler and get Calvin there to boat you over to the "Cove"), Roy's at Bayside, and Koal Keel, wonderful dinners. Fun time also getting over to Scilly Cay for grilled lobster.....Our favorite spot for the beach, getting pampered at the Viceroy (also nice for dinner), getting served drinks and lunch on the beach, total bliss. The villa and pool are also so wonderful that you need not go anywhere! PS. Anyone taking their IPOD's, fantastic speakers, filling the house and pool area!!

  If you think this place looks good on the internet, wait until you see it in person ... it is truly amazing! Eight of us (all close friends) had the opportunity to spend a week on Anguilla at GOC. The views of the bay & ocean from the outside area around the pool are spectacular morning, noon & night ... especially the sunsets. And the inside of the castle is just as spectacular. Lay claim to the downstairs bedroom in the left wing of the castle. Until you've showered under the glow of the moon & stars while listening to reggae playing at the beach bar by Davidas, you've not lived. Both areas offer plenty of space for socializing & solitude when needed. And though you may find it hard to leave, some of the best beaches & restaurants you'll ever visit are no more than a 15 minute car ride away. And for those evenings when you just cannot force yourself to leave, Eileen & Derrick can cook up a very amazing meal for you. They made us the best lobster dinner I have ever had. And Paul & Elise will make you feel right at home even before you leave your own home. Rental cars, restaurant & recreation suggestions, travel arrangements to the castle from the airport or ferry dock & simply answering all our questions ... no inquiry went unanswered. I'm certain my wife & I presented Paul with a "first time ever" request. Unable to find the time to shop for our customary vacation souvenir bell while on the island, I emailed Paul to ask if he could take care of our "shopping" for us. A couple days after the end of his visit, the perfect bell was delivered to us by way of the US mail. That extra effort went way beyond what one would normally expect to receive, but it is an example of the attention you receive as a guest at the castle simply Pefect!. If you're thinking about renting this place, stop thinking & start booking. You will NOT be disappointed.

Could not have been more pleased to have found your "prize" on my very first attempt. We are glad it was the "perfect" bell. Your words and the description of your stay at Grand Outlook Castle was, to us, perfect also.   We stayed at Grand Outlook Castle in April with 3 other couples; all very close friends. If you love great beaches and spending time with good friends and family, GOC is an ideal location. The castle is large and very well furnished, and the kitchen offers all the amenities a cook could desire.The layout provides both ample space for gathering together as well as privacy, with each of the 4 bedrooms having their own bath and a balcony or patio with spectacular views of the Caribbean. Two have outdoor showers for bathing under the sun or stars. The great room and outdoor patio, with a great infinity pool, are large and offer stunning views of the Caribbean. I guarantee that whatever else you do, you will gather each evening to watch the sunset. The pictures on the web site are great, but they do not do justice to the experience of being there. The on-site staff, Derrick and Eileen, are wonderful people. They prepared a lobster feast for the 8 of us one evening that was the equal of or better than any of the meals we had on the island, and there are a number of very good restaurants on Anguilla. I also must comment on the assistance we received from the owners, Paul and Elysse. I have rented properties on Home Away and other sites many times, but I have never received the type of thourough and timely assistance I received from them. From advice regarding coming to the island,to arranging for rental cars and restaurant and beach recommendations everything was right on the mark and turned out great. We will be back!

  A group of friends and I stayed her in March, 2011. I will never forget the stunned looks on everyone's faces the first time they saw our view at Grand Outlook Castle. While I had read in several reviews that the photos don't do it justice, I had wondered that could be because the photos were beautiful. But when getting there, I understood. This villa has perhaps the best view in all of Anguilla, from the pool, the balconies, the windows. Ocean everywhere. And if you look out from the pool, you can see the turtles swimming in Crocus Bay below. The villa itself was also beautiful and very well-kept. The bedrooms were spacious, and each had an en suite bath (some with outdoor showers!) and a very large terrace with crazy ocean views. The gourmet kitchen was a fantastic place to cook and socialize. We loved the barbecue/wet bar on the pool terrace, and cooked most of our nights there. The location is great too because it's very central. And the owners, Paul and Elise, are incredibly helpful as you plan the rest of your trip in Anguilla. It's a first-class operation. We definitely couldn't have had a more perfect trip. The Grand Outlook Castle is a gem. Highly recommended. And if you haven't been to Anguilla -- it is truly a special place. Beautiful beaches, amazing food (from the fancy restaurants to the beach shacks to the roadside food carts/trucks), and the people of Anguilla are some of the most wonderful folks you'll ever meet.

  We have been doing villa rentals for our vacation getaways for the past 4-5 years. We go away about 3-4 times a year. By far this villa is the best location we have ever stayed at. From the very start Paul/Elise were a pleasure to work with. Paul called us within a day of receiving our first email inquiring about the villa. This was followed by regular phone calls and emails to make the rental smooth and stress free. The villa itself is truly magnificent and words just don't do it justice. There is nothing in this villa that you wouldn't use the term "luxurious" to describe. The kitchen appliances are top notch as is the indoor and alfresco dining areas. All the rooms and the pool area have fantastic view of the ocean and fabulous sunsets. Truly the one aspect that distinguishes this villa head and shoulders above the other villas we have stayed in (maui, oahu, tortola, st john) are the little things. The beach chairs were outstanding and reclined which makes a comfortable day at the beach. The outdoor barbecue had an adjustable light beside it that made cooking after sunset quite easy. The alfresco shower from the master suite was an experience with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Our kids would only shower in the outdoor shower. I am sure that i have overlooked many other aspects of this villa, however, I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway on a very quiet secluded island. We hope to make it back ourselves in the near future. A very satisfied customer!!!

  This was our second stay at Grand Outlook Castle and will not be our last! I would go back today if I could!!!!. Vacationing on Anguilla, especially at GOC, has been by far the most relaxing and pleasant experience we have had after island hopping for years. Paul and Elise, the owners, have been incredibly helpful with planning the vacations and making them comfortable and relaxing. They suggested the best travel plans to and from Anguilla, where to eat, where to shop...I have never worked with owners who were as concerned or as available as Paul and Elise. The Castle....well words cannot really describe it...it's spectacular. The house has four beautiful bedrooms and baths. The kitchen is fantastic with all the amenities if you like to cook, which we do. The living room is very spacious and comfortable with a beautiful breeze flowing through at all times. We spent countless hours by the pool taking in the beautiful view of Crocus Bay. We tried never to miss the goat parade in the afternoon around 4pm!We also loved to spend the day at Crocus Bay, have lunch at Da'Vida's and enjoy drinks while watching the amazing sunsets. We love Anguilla...the people..the beaches ...the food! If you are looking for a hassle free vacation in a gorgeous setting you cannot find a better place than Grand Outlook Castle! Thanks Paul and Elise we will be back next year!

  4 adults and 6 children, we were totally outnumbered and do you believe we had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing vacation? Honestly we did and how could we not at the Grand Outlook Castle. From the moment we walked through the door of the Castle we knew our holiday with our dear friends has finally begun. We escaped the cold and snow of the NorthEast and very busy schedules to relax and unwind and spend precious moments with our children and friends. Paul and Elise took care of everything, from their beautifully furnished home with stunning views from every room, to their helpful staff and detailed information on where to go (food, restaurants, beaches, excursions, etc) and where to find things or people such as a doctor for an ear infection. It was one of the few vacations we did not want to leave our lodging as we had everything we needed right there. For a truly incredible relaxing vacation with or without children you really should consider Grand Outlook Castle.

  After reading the excellent reviews about Grand Outlook Castle we tried to rent it for our vacation, but unfortunately it was in use by Paul & Elise (the owners) the week we wanted. Paul found us another Villa - similar in size and price. In addition, Paul took care of all the details for us as if we were renting the Castle, arranging airport transfers, shuttle pick-up, providing written instructions for navigating the immigration/customs details, recommending the best places to eat, swim, and shop. Paul even arranged to have the rental car in the driveway when we arrived! While on Anguilla Paul & Elise invited us to the Castle for dinner and a tour one evening (so we could see what we were missing). We got to experience the most amazing sunset view from the Castle's huge patio. The Grand Outlook Castle is fantastic - four large master suites, huge open living/kitchen area, incredible infinity edge pool over looking Crocus Bay and the ocean beyond, extensive gardens including bananna trees! We had never been to Anguilla before, but Paul and Elise made it so easy and stressless. You won't be disappointed!!!

  Everyone needs to read the reviews, but truly, words cannot describe the beauty of this Villa. I had the pleasure of working with Paul on our arrangements for a week at the Castle this January 2011. There was not a question I asked that he didn’t answer 100%. Paul made the process painless and exciting. He did not miss anything, from his directions to the ferry, arranging for our pick up, to the rental car waiting at the house. When you turn the corner and see this beautiful villa, you start to smile, and then you enter the big front doors, the smile turns to an open mouth stare. You just can’t believe it will get better, only to walk to the outside and see the pool and the view. After being out and about touring the island and on the water, we saw NO better view on this beautiful island. Their eye to building detail is impressive. The villa is beautiful, beds are comfortable, large showers and cooking in the big kitchen was a pleasure. After sitting on the pool deck for 7 wonderful evenings, and 8 fantastic days, I can truly say that Paul and Elise built an awesome home. Paul said it took them years and years to find a piece of ground to build on. What they found was not a piece of land, but a slice of Heaven. Thank you, Paul and Elise for sharing your home with our group. Thank you to Eileen. She was extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs, got to sit and laugh with her. You can tell both owner and staff have much pride for GOC

At the end of every day at our castle, massive sunsets are always right there for your enjoyment with no travelling required. We also wanted the interior space to be comfortable for all our guests so all four bedrooms are master bedroom suites with large baths and for those with just a little courage, two oudoor showers with great views. EEYA, it is also our goal to insure our guests can transition to pradise "flawlessly". We are pleased that we made that process "painless and exciting" for you and your group. For us, your revelation IS most exciting. Renting a private villa and travelling to a semi-remote island can be a bit daunting for some. We have the insight and tools to share with every potential guest that truly makes it easy. Once you arrive on Anguilla and Grand Outlook Castle "easily", the rest is truly impressive for that is what we and our staff want for every guest, the opportunity for you to just EXHALE!   Our group of three couples plus two young children wanted a place worthy of a celebrating a milestone, and GOC exceeded our expectations. It was very easy flying in to St Maarten and taking the ferry to Anguilla and we arrived early Sunday afternoon to a surprised Eileen, but no worries as we started relaxing while she finished making the Castle spotless for our first evening. We ate in at The Castle five of our seven nights, grilling fresh local fish, chicken and pork. It was such a comfortable and easy experience. Everything you need, entertainment, beaches, is less than 15-minutes, so rent a car, relax and enjoy! Shoal Bay is a must for snorkeling and the white sand and blue water. Our two nights out at Roy's and Blanchard’s were truly amazing. This is the best rental house and island in the Caribbean, can't be beat!

Have almost missed our flight on more than one occassion as the castle is just so embracing on that last bright and sunny morning. Grand Outlook Castle is simply one of those "must see" locations to truly understand how special and comfortable an experience it truly is. Anguilla too is one of those "must see" best islands in the Caribbean. It's true... The combination of Grand Outlook Castle and Anguilla "can't be beat". Thanks for that great quote JT! We also liked your word "spotless" too. We love a "spotless" castle. It's all so very "easy" for our guests. We, the castle owners and staff sincerely help insure it's easy for you to make your way to Anguilla, arrive easily at the castle and once you are on island and situtated, your stay is even easier. Angulla is rather flat with good roads, respectful citizens and some of the very best beaches and restaurants in the world. The castle is spacious, private and truly beautiful with views that allow you to truly enjoy your vacation without even having to move at ALL! JT and his family ate in 5 out of 7 evenings and that is a compliment and is also substantial money saving. Food on Anguilla can be very reasonably priced with excellent local and unique Barbeque; $3 for half a chicken, $6 for a rack of ribs and some of the very best "johnny cakes" for $1. Yet, Anguilla has some of the very best restaurants in ALL the Caribbean. Inexpensive or "Top Shelf" food on Anguilla is a just another easy experience and we send you a list of our personal favorites.   Every glowing, gushing review of GOC you read is the absolute truth. Paul and Elise are the most gracious hosts and are so helpful with all the little details. They took care of the car, travel insurance, ferry and were always happy to chat on the phone and answer my endless questions. There is no detail that has been forgotten - the Castle has everything you need. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the island so any drive is a breeze. (Note: Anguilla has the best roads by far of any Caribbean island.) The house was spotless when we arrived and Eileen and Derrick, the caretakers, are not only very professional but wonderfully nice people and a great source of info about the island (from a non-tourist viewpoint.) Just like Paul and Elise (the owners) they went out of their way for us and it was not a big deal for them. It is the little things that can make a trip perfect and this vacation was as close to PERFECT as it can get. The photos are spot on, the Castle is a real gem. The beaches on the island are breathtaking and the food is fantastic (Loved Koal Keel, Smokey's, Straw Hat, Cote Mer, Da'Vida). Surprisingly, the prices in the food stores were not the typical rip off prices of the Caribbean, very reasonable and enjoying my coffee in my PJ's while sitting by the pool - well, it is hard to put that bliss into words. We have traveled alot ( and I have been told that I am pain-in-the ass picky) and Anguilla is our new favorite island. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found the Castle - WE WILL BE BACK!

  We just returned from our Anguilla vacation at the fabulous Grand Outlook Castle. It was a beautiful sight to walk in the front door and see beyond the great room to the infinity pool which visually extended to beautiful Crocus Bay. The color of the waters from both appeared to merge. The "Castle" was exactly as portrayed on the web site, but between the expert help from Paul and our individual experience with this home, we were more than pleased. The sunsets were outstanding and sipping a glass of wine while listening to Davida restaurant's live music coming from the beach below was definitely one of our top experiences. The details in the home from the furnishings, art work, kitchen supplies, gardens, pool decks, private nooks, etc. were definitely upscale and finely tuned to the needs of the guests. None of us wanted to leave the "castle" to explore, but eventually we did get to the beaches which are beautiful. All in all, we have rented villas in the past and this one is at the top of our list. We can't wait for our next visit!

Every window, every glass slider and every glass door is a canvas on which her work is always vividly on display both day and night. As you noted, there is always something beautiful or entertaining going on at the castle and on infrequent occasions, complimented by local music. As you also noted, you and many castle guests just don't want to leave. The feeling is that of "where?" would one go when you are already experiencing a "world's best" at our castle? Why move when you have a private front row seat to beautiful? We are most pleased to have you also note Grand Outlook Castle as your "top of the list" of villas you have ever rented. You and your party are also "top of the list" for groups we'd like to see return. It truly is a compliment to all to be on the "top of each other's lists".   Wow! Wow! Wow! My family/friends and I had this planned for a year. I had no idea what to expect as I had never traveled out of the country before. There was a total of 9 people in the group to Paradise including my 2 year old daughter. Paul & Elise, the home owners, made us comfortable before we even left for our trip. The owners really go out of their way to make this trip worry free. The second you walk into the castle worry and stress is lifted from your shoulders and RELAXATION has begun! There isnt an uncomfortable room in the castle. And the scenery outside is something out of a travel magazine! We had incredible weather the whole week we were there. All of Paul & Elise's helpers are polite, helpful and friendly. My daughter loved the pool, as well as everyone else. The outdoor showers are liberating...dont be scared to use them! Thank you Paul & Elise for all the hospitality and sharing your beautiful castle with our group.

  If you’ve never had a Caribbean experience Grand Outlook Castle is the way to start. Three years ago we were some of the first guests at the newly crowned Castle. Though at the time we had never been to the Caribbean we quickly adapted to the comforts of Grand Outlook and the wonderful island of Anguilla. However, as much as we remembered enjoying our first Grand Outlook stay, we were pleasantly surprised by how “fresh” everything looked. The feeling arriving was fantastic as you suddenly realize that you are going to be spending seven days in this magnificent abode perched high above the beautiful ocean on this friendly and beautiful island. The property is everything that the previous guests described and more. While it is not a “resort” in the traditional sense the Castle is truly a relaxed and pampered environment. The star is definitely the infinity pool sitting 150 feet high over Crocus Bay. It’s a great feeling to be able to float over to the edge and take in the distant cliffs, the colorful boats in the bay and the breathtaking sunsets. If you do have to leave Grand Outlook the island country of Anguilla is a great alternative. There is enough to do so that you can choose to be active or not. The people we met all over the island conveyed a kindness that made us feel welcome and we enjoyed their company. The language is English, the currency is US dollars, navigating around the island is easy. The Castle is located at the midpoint of the island meaning that you can be anywhere on the island quickly. There are many beaches of which a number are “Top 10 Caribbean”. Most have restaurants right there to enjoy a leisurely lunch prior to jumping into the warm water, napping or exploring the shoreline. Back at the Castle for the sunset and then a choice of many excellent restaurants or dine-in. We mixed it up with dinners “out” at the Sand Bar, Picante, Barrel Stay and Davida. Dinners “in” of lobsters and the local ribs. Everything at the castle was perfect. A very classy operation in all aspects. It is such a comfortable place to spend some time. Since our last visit three years ago the grounds have blossomed into colorful array of tropical plants. Paul and Elise have continued to “detail” Grand Outlook with many nice little touches that we discovered though the course of our week. There were some long faces as we trudged off to our exit at Blowing Point and we vowed to return sooner than three years later next time.

There is a catch basis over the edge of the pool which will capture you if you "push the edge" a little too hard. We are quite impressed though to have learned that the "Doc of Rock" did 'float over the edge" in some other fashion than at the edge of our pool. Yet, isn't that what vacations are about? Floating over the "edge" of the usual into the unusual if only for a brief moment that will remain with you and your group forever. ALWAYS have a camera handy at our Castle and take many pictures!!! But not into the outdoor showers thank you! Also, Eileen, Derrick and Alan all thought the "Doc of Rock's" party were all very open and engaging, easy to work with and very adventurous especially when Alan dropped off his catch of 3 lb. lobsters for your supper. There are many unique experiences waiting your own arrival in Paradise. For Anguilla is paradise and Grand Outlook Castle its "crown". Doc of Rock, thanks again for the kind words and we will be working very hard in anticipation of your royal return.   If you want a truly “WOW” experience- visit Grand Outlook Castle. Our wonderful experience started in the early planning process. The owner’s, Paul & Elise, were so helpful in organizing all the details from getting to Anguilla, to reserving our cars, to outlining all the details we needed to know about the Castle and the island. A wonderfully helpful information packet was provided prior to the trip and Paul was readily available to answer any and all questions prior to our departure. Planning a vacation has never been so easy. Grand Outlook Castle is truly a vacation dream come true. The pictures on the intranet do not do justice to the Castle, or the view (including all the cute goats!). The view of Crocus Bay is out of a picture book. I can’t tell you how many times we simply relaxed at the edge of the infinity pool and just looked below to the beautiful beach and scenery below. Anguilla itself is such a quaint and pretty island. The simplicity of the island allows you to relax and just simply enjoy your time away from home. Words cannot express how amazing the Castle is. From the moment you enter the grand foyer of the house and look left to the pool deck, infinity pool and the view beyond, you will lose your breath. The house is very spacious (wonderfully open floor plan), decorated very nicely, clean, and inviting. It is also very private and peaceful, yet also very convenient to grocery stores, restaurants and other beaches. The bedrooms are also quite spacious and the outdoor showers are a true pleasure. It’s quite an experience showering under a moonlit sky! The caretakers of the house, Eileen and Derrick, were very helpful, kind, welcoming and accommodating. Eileen became part of our family while we were there! Plan on having to make yourself leave the Castle in order to get to know the island. It is very easy to just stay put. However, a visit to the other beautiful beaches of the island is a must. Relaxing poolside with a cold beverage is a perfect way to end a busy day away from the Castle. If you want to experience an amazing vacation, spent in a beautiful home, overlooking extraordinary scenery, go to Grand Outlook. You will not be disappointed. The Castle, the island, the locals- all make for a truly unforgettable time. Wonderful memories await you at Grand Outlook Castle. Thank you, Paul and Elise for sharing your beautiful home with us!   WOW, we had the most unbelievable vacation! The Castle was even more spectacular than the pictures, if you can imagine. The view from the infinity pool overlooking the ocean is so beautiful. The color of the ocean was the most beautiful color we have ever seen. We didn’t even go out to dinner some nights because we didn’t want to leave the Castle. The kitchen was well equipped allowing us to prepare any type of meal. We were one of four couples who usually vacation together and the Castle suited us perfectly. Every bedroom suite was beautifully decorated and afforded everyone some privacy. We spent most of our time on the patio, barbecuing, swimming, and just enjoying the view! Eileen, the housekeeper, was so helpful and sweet, she was always available to answer any questions and/or help us in any way possible. We visited many of the beaches, spent some time snorkeling, and a lot of time relaxing. You can see Crocus Bay from the Castle and visited it several afternoons and even caught the boat from there that took us to Little Bay Beach. One beach is more beautiful than the next. It was such a memorable time for us all. Paul and Elise were so accomodating in getting us transportation and helping us with all the little details that made our vacation perfect! We are going to recommend the Castle to the rest of our friends and family. We didn’t want to come home and are already planning on returning to the Castle!

  We stayed at the castle with a group of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) and had an amazing time. First off, I’d like to comment on the assistance provided by Paul before we got to Anguilla. He helped us with travel plans, arranging for rental vehicles, ferry and charter boat schedules and contact numbers, and beach/restaurant recommendations. There wasn’t a detail that he missed! This all made it very easy to get to Anguilla and get around the island when we were there. And for the castle itself, what awesome views! Every room, even the outdoor showers, had panoramic views of the blue waters of Crocus Bay and the Caribbean! The view from the pool and patio area is world class. As stated by my daughter Caroline (6 years old), “you can almost see the whole ocean from here!” Inside the castle we found there to be plenty of space for our party of 10 and we thought the castle was nicely done, well appointed, clean and well maintained. As for the island, our favorite beach was Shoal Bay East – great sand and pool, and nice bar/restaurant for lunch and cocktails. We didn’t get the chance to have dinner at Blanchard’s but did get to almost all of the other recommended restaurants, and it was a toss up between Barrel Stay and DaVida – both are excellent. Golf at Temenos was very good and we enjoyed the beach at Cap Juluca for a day (excellent for shells) and the pools at the Viceroy for another (hip atmosphere at this new resort – good mojitos). Lastly, Elaine was really great! We asked her to help us with cleaning up around the castle and cooking breakfast for us every morning. Elaine and her partner were great people and just made the stay complete for us. Don’t miss the Grand Outlook Castle…. Just exhale!

  Grand Outlook Castle was truly extraordinary!!!!!! When I saw the pictures on the internet it almost seemed too good to be true but in this case the pictures didn’t do the house or the view justice… our wonderful experience started even before we left the states…the owners, Paul and Elise sent a great information packet…they made themselves available for questions before we left….they arranged for us to get picked up at the airport by Wendell and were then greeted by Eileen the caretaker as soon as we arrived...the view of Crocus Bay with the small colored boats anchored in the brilliant blue water was breathtaking….The location of the house was perfect…high on a cliff overlooking Crocus Bay.. the house was in the middle of the island so very convenient to amazing beaches and restaurants, yet private and peaceful… the house itself was beautiful, clean, and spacious… the setup of the house was perfect, a large living room and kitchen for everyone to gather and four large bedrooms and bathrooms, one more gorgeous than the next… and if you like to cook in a gourmet kitchen fully stocked, this is the place for you…Eileen and Derrick, the caretakers of the house ,were very kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable…they made us an amazing lobster dinner that was delicious!!…we traveled all over the island to visit all the beautiful beaches of Anguilla, but found ourselves very comfortable and content to stay in Crocus Bay and watch the beautiful boats sail in and out...ending our day with drinks, dinner and a gorgeous sunset at daVida…our day at Grand Outlook Castle would not have been complete without the active romping of the baby goats and their mamas up and down their trails… …the house, the island, the locals….all amazing…until next time!!! A complete break with what one's normal routine had been to one where there are NO routines or goals or agendas because Grand Outlook Castle is not simply a destination but an embracing and relaxing environment of constant natural awe. From the morning sun which lights Crocus Bay and your entire visual world in vivid hues of turquoise and blues. The beaches of Sandy Isle, local Katouche and Crocus Bays along with distant Long Bay glistening like mounds of beige colored gold. Pelicans and Bermuda Longtails gliding past at eye level in search of breakfast as the goat herd bleats and saunters past on their way to their grazing fields below the castle. Far too much natural beauty for the eye to absorb in one viewing and all before breakfast. There is no reason to leave the castle because there is no better place to be. Private, intimate and secluded with views so grand you will NOT want to leave even when you do finally run out of food and beer. That what a prior guest wrote. Yet, when you are required to leave, you'll intentionally drive along Crocus Hill and look across the bay at the castle's site and again be awed. Awed at how your castle is embedded into a hill above a beautiful and totally natural environment with varied and interesting steep drops to a calming sea of azure. As we've written previoulsy, you will not want to leave its embrace; we never do. Guests have been know to cry when last leaving but carry home the hope of a return. Abaigeal, Thank You!   The first thing that struck us as we entered the Castle was the size, all the living areas are very generous. Lots of outdoor hanging out spaces with some very private. The whole place is very private, perched up on the cliffs above Crocus Bay. Outstanding views make this villa hard to leave, even to go get provisions.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

  Fabulous experience at Anguilla's Grand Outlook Castle. Everything we expected and more. Pictures don't do it justice. A beautiful home on a magnificent overlook of the azure blue sea. Spectacular sunsets. My family and I had a memorable and restful holiday. This was our first time to this wonderful island paradise, but it certainly will not be our last. The owners provided great personal service, ensuring our comfort and relaxation. Recommendations for restaurants were detailed and accurate. We couldn't have wanted anything more, a beautiful home on the most scenic overlook on the island!

  The Grand Outlook Castle is fantastic! I'm tempted to say "Stop looking for other places to stay and treat yourself to this castle for a guaranteed Bo Derek 10 experience in Anguilla"...end of review...but I'll try to find the words to describe it and do it justice. The owners' description of their castle and vibrant views were exactly as advertised. It's very high-quality, with a wonderful floorplan and over-sized rooms. The castle sits on a bluff with vistas of beautiful turquoise blue waters, skies, bays, sailboats and beautiful island symmetries. Watching the sunsets in a lounger from the pool deck became an early evening ritual for my wife and I. The sunsets were amazing. Mother Nature shared glorious colors night after night and some evenings it seemed as if the entire sky was lit up with the after-glow of her setting sun. The days were just as enjoyable from the large deck...sunning, lounging in the pool, or being witness to the caribbean waters, skies, boats, and island symmetries. On most days, a meandering herd of 6-12 goats would show up and roam thru part of the yard for an hour, or so. The private outdoor showers and private sunning areas were a treat for us. Enough said. My wife and I have visited Anguilla over 20 times in the last 15 yrs and this castle is easily our #1 choice. We've stayed at all the top resorts on the island. If you're looking for quality, privacy, space, beautiful vistas, and quietness then look no more. This is it. A wonderful setting on a wonderful island with wonderful people. My wife and I are fortunate to have found Grand Outlook Castle. Treat yourself. Most Sincerely, Satisfied Midwest Travelers

  We stayed at the castle for a week and found we had to force ourselves to leave every day especially on the last day. The views are the very best we have ever experienced. Morning is colorful and peaceful, and the sunsets are just the VERY BEST! Our trip started off amazing and only got better. The first morning we were there, we had two local massage therapists stop by and give us all massages out on the pool deck! We found ever thing at the castle we had hoped to find, blender, wine cooler, barbeque grill, soft beach towels, beach chairs, and privacy. The pool deck is where we spent most of our time and found everyone in our group very content even those who can normally get “nudgy”. Eileen, the housekeeper, was so sweet and so accommodating and really gave us a very warm and caring sense for the island residents. When we wanted a day or two alone, we just asked and she would make certain we had everything we needed before she left and gave us her cell phone number if anything came up. We found plenty of private spaces where those who wanted to be alone or simply sunbath au natural could and no one even knew where they had gone. In one case, we had to mount a “search party” to find one couple. We actually thought they had left the estate but all the vehicles were still there. We finally found them up in the castle’s tower lounging in the zero gravity lounge chairs napping!! The castle’s space is huge. The pool deck is massive with little areas you can hide away in or emerge and join the pool party. We were never bored at Grand Outlook Castle. The infinity edge pool was like hanging over the edge of a cliff over the sea with no chance of actually falling over. The beaches are GREAT and the beach strolls always quiet, soothing and intimate. Anguilla has some of the very best beaches to walk and fall in love all over again. We will be back and we will make Grand Outlook our holiday destination as often as our schedules allow.

  I was so impressed with the prompt attention and expertise Paul and Elise provided for our trip. They found the best times for us to travel, the cheapest airfare, cell phones were provided on the island to use, car rentals, cooks if we wanted them. Every detail they thought of and gave you the option and suggestions as to how to acquire it. So professional, and so easy. The castle(which it truly is) is exquisite. The thought and care went into every detail. From the gourmet kitchen to the outdoor showers nothing lacked for detail. We would and have recommended this property for all who want to taste a bit of heaven . We never left the castle the entire time of our 7 day stay except for 30 minutes to get groceries. There really is no need to leave if you truly want a romantic getaway. This is a getaway of a lifetime. Enjoy. Enjoy! I promise you will not regret it

  Everything was spectacular. We absolutely loved the island, and the home was even better. So beautiful, welcoming, comfortable, and there are no better views anywhere on the island. We spent the mornings and evenings at home, enjoying the pool and the gorgeous view. Most days we ventured out to one of the many suggested beaches and restaurants, in search of the best rum punch. The weather was fabulous, but the 5-10 minutes it rained on occassion left a beautiful rainbow. All our meals out were great, and we enjoyed cooking in in the gourmet kitchen as well. Our family had a wonderful, completely relaxing family vacation. We all wanted to stay longer, and we all want to go back. And we did find the best rum punch. Grand Outlook Castle is one of the best locations on Anguilla to view both rainbows and sunsets. As Dave & Patty experienced, you can actually watch the shower work its way across the island and after it passes off to sea, a full rainbow is often the result. Because of the castle's elevation, you will often see a full rainbow, end to end; "Pot of Gold to Pot of Gold". As Dave & Patty also noted, they wanted to stay longer. Its easy to become very relaxed and comfortable at Grand Outlook Castle. That's what we strive to provide all our guests; a reluctance to leave and a strong desire to return. Now that we know the best rum punch on Anguilla is the current rum punch. We'll be having one our next trip down in honor of Dave & Patty and their eventual return to the castle.   We all had a wonderful stay at Grand Outlook Castle. The Castle exceeded our expectations, it was very private, comfortable, and very open with lots of room. The scenery was breathtaking and we enjoyed our days and nights in the infinity pool looking out to Crocus Bay. The accommodations were wonderful and everything that you needed was available at the Castle. We enjoyed our daily breakfasts, lunches, barbecues, and dinners outdoors as we watched the boats on the bay and the beautiful sunset over the ocean. Anguilla is a wonderful place to discover, to relax, enjoy the beautiful beaches..and best of all to hang out at the Castle. Eilleen, the housekeeper, was really nice and non-intrusive. Paul was very helpful in getting us all setup and very accommodating. He's wonderful to work it (thank you Paul for everything). Paul and Elise you have an amazing place and thank you for sharing it with us. We miss it already and can't wait to be back. Thank You !

  We stayed at the castle in June of 2009 with some extended family. What a dream!!! Even though we were a large party with kids, the home was more than accommodating! While we were able to cook in the chef kitchen most nights, we also enjoyed eating out at Da Vida or having a meal prepared by chef Vernon of E's restaurant. The home also comes with air mattresses to sleep two adults that need to stay in the same room but don't want to sleep in the same bed. One thing is for certain - the home is even more beautiful in person than the pictures convey. We can't wait to go back!!!
