  This home exceeds expectations. The photos do not do it justice. The property was clean and had everything you needed. The owners were great to work with and were quick to respond with any questions. Everyone we met including the maintenance group, concierge and chef were wonderful. We enjoyed a zipline tour through Baru Hacienda and a white water rafting tour through Dominical Surf Adventures right downtown. Both were excellent. I will say that walking to the beach is not as easy as many have made it sound. It is down a steep road and across a very busy street. Not a hard walk but if you want beach chairs and ice chest driving is much easier. It is a short drive to downtown as you would not want to walk on the busy highway to the town turn off. Great place to relax!

One of the many charms of the area, of course, is that the mountains meet the sea in Dominical, giving visitors the unique advantage of experiencing amazing mountain, rainforest, and ocean vistas and activities in the same small area. Access is also made very easy by the new Costanera highway, which, joining with the Pan America Highway, runs the entire length of the Pacific coast. Fortunately, the Costanera can neither be seen nor heard from the villa, where one can see and hear only the ocean waves and the rainforest. All private homes in Dominical are built on the slopes of the mountains, and all require crossing the Costanera in order to access the beach, but some enjoy easier access than others. Villa Casa Bonita is one of the easiest to access, as it is unusually close to the beach - just a short 5-minute walk away. As you mentioned, part of the walk is along a short, inclined access road, and we do agree, it would be easier to drive to the Dominical beaches, as to any other beach, if you're carrying beach chairs and an ice chest.   Booking on line to book your vacation is pretty scary when doing it yourself. Especially, in a foreign country. Trust me, my husband was questioning me all the way to wiring the money!! You know all the scams they have out there. We were thrilled when our bank told us that they have sent money there before. When we got to the house, we were amazed how nice the house was. The pictures really do not do it justice. It was a perfect home for my family of 7. It was equipped with everything you will need. I am really picky about my beds and pillows too, and they were all good! I had the chef cook us dinner the first night and it was truly our favorite meal? Lobster and shrimp! Kelley was there waiting for us and had stocked the house with everything I requested!! It was so nice, because we had traveled a long way and the drive from the airport was long, but worth it. We had 3 kids with us and made it a lot more convenient. Plus, our drinks were waiting for us. The adults really enjoyed that. Kelley set us up for all of our excursions and we were happy with all of them!! This vacation was very special to my family because it was a year after I was diagnosed with Cancer. I am cancer free now and it was a celebration of my life and family!! We wanted a adventure and that is what we got. I could not be more pleased. Don't worry, just book it! Let them take care of the rest. :)

  Great place for family and friends. The main floor room is very conducive to group activities...but the house is large enough for plenty of privacy. The location is perfect--easy walk to beach..quiet and private...yet also close to everything in the town of Dominical. It is a fun ouse, with lots of really unusual and playful finishes (like the all the outside bannisters are carved, colorful wooden snakes. In addition to the house, what made our trip was their concierge--Kelley. She is amazingly helpful. She knows the best everything--restaurants, activities, places to go. She is virtually always available and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable and fulfilled.

  Casa Bonita was the perfect beach house for our large group of circUs yogis! Tons of space, fabulous layout, all the comforts and more. The pool was so much fun for all the adults and the kids! The beach was delicious and just a quick walk. Monkeys, toucans & iguanas just outside!! The showers were gorgeous. We'll certainly be back the next time we come to Dominical!!

  Whoa! Talk about AWESOME! This place was spectacular. So much space!! The showers are the BEST!! Amazing ocean view and just a couple minutes walk to it too. Kelly the concierge was super sweet and helpful too. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Costa Rica, which I hope totally happens.

  We decided to book Casa Bonita because we thought the house looked beautiful in the pictures. Then we arrived and we were SHOCKED to see how AMAZING the house is, the pictures don't do it justice!! We went in the middle of the rainy season and we had a wonderful time just hanging out at casa bonita. The big open spaces and beautiful detailed house is a delight to stay inn. Not to mention the balconies overlooking the pool and ocean! The house is conveniently located a short walk from the beach, located very close to Dominical beach, and a short drive away from other great attractions in the area. I would recommend this house to anyone and I can't wait to go back!

  Lets just start with the house, The pictures dont do it justice!!! Once you walk in , you can't believe how spacious and open the whole house is.We had 8 people and never felt cramped,the bedrooms are large suites with amazing waterfall views as you shower.Its a perfect location for beaches and jungle scenery. Kelly the real estate/tour guide was so helpful with all our needs and questions. By far the best vacation spot for our money. We plan to return every couple of years!! I alteady miss drinking our coffee and pina coladas on the porch overlooking the ocean. If we owned this place we would never leave. Thanks for an amazing vacation we will never forget,, Julie and Ivan /

  Melissa, Thanks so much for having us at Casa Bonita. This house is everything you claimed and more. It is the perfect place for a large group. The common areas are large and open, yet there are plenty of little porches and balconys to sneak away and read or take a nap. We cooked at least once each day. The kitchen is super well equiped with everything we might need, (blender, toaster oven, dishwasher, utensils, spices, coffee and espresso maker, etc.). We didn't rent a car, but the folks just a 1/4 mile down the road were happy to deliver all our purchases. Casey and Sandra were both very helpful in making us feel at home and setting up transportation to San Jose. The ocean view and sunsets were spectacular. Thanks again. I can't wait to get back to Casa Bonita. Kelly

  The Chewning and Goodrich Families would love to tell you about our wonderful stay at Case Bonita! The house itself is beautiful and so creative with all sorts of artwork literally within its wall and on them!!! The view is probably the best I have ever seen looking down on the beautiful waves of the warm Pacific ocean and tropical trees full of monkeys and toucans! We loved our chef, Romolov, and his wonderful Costa Rican specialities. We had a wonderful time in Dominical and surrounding areas doing surfing lessons and sea kayaking in Uvita to ziplines and the best tour , waterfall rapelling in Manual Antonio State Park Don't forget the sloths at the local park of Hacienda Baru! Casa Bonita is a wonderful home away from home and only a 5 minute walk to secluded beaches with great boogie boarding waves! We also how loved clean everything was and our new pet, "Lizzie" the iquana who visited the rocks by the pool everyday enjoying pieces of fruit put out by our children. We know you will enjoy your stay at Casa Bonita and Costa Rica for the people are so very friendly and caring!!!!

  We went for a 1 week get away at Casa Bonita and 1 week was definitely not enough! The place is absolutely stunning with everything you need and more. It is an easy walk to the beach (5 minutes max) which had some really fun waves to surf and a great low-key beach to relax. Melissa and Jens, the owners, are very accommodating and you can tell they really want you to enjoy your stay. Tons of great restaurants around the area, surf, hikes, waterfalls....trust me, you can not go wrong with Casa Bonita. If you want a private place to stay with a gorgeous view and accessible to pretty much everything with ease, Casa Bonita is your place. The pictures and descriptions don't give it justice, just go there and you won't be disappointed! We're ready to go back already
