Napili point was purchased 13 years ago as the best location to enjoy Maui's splendid weather and the beautiful beaches nearby. This location has the best of both the windward side of Maui with its periodic showers disappearing in early morning, and the drier side which has abundant sunshine. This produces a wonderful green lush landscape with all kinds of beautiful flowers and trees in abundance. Easy access to great snorkeling, with at least ten to twenty resident sea turtles in the bay in front, presents a wondrous opportunity for children (of any age) to experience the amazing underwater world! Nearby, within a few minutes walk, is one of our favorite sand beaches at Napili Bay which provides great snorkeling and during the winter season, body surfing, boogie boarding, and skim boarding which are great fun.
The quietness of the Napili Point Resort is also one of its important qualitites. Napili Point attracts visitors who may enjoy a comfortable visit with as much social contact as they desire. Children are always welcome especially during the summer vacation period. All ages enjoy the two well maintained pools on the property as well as the many ocean activities.
C18 has recently been upgraded with new carpets and new kitchen cabinets, appliances and granite countertops. The bath vanities have also been updated. C18 is fully furnished with a supply of various basic cooking needs (salt, pepper, spices, plastic bags, wraps, sugar, creamer etc.) and laundry items. Beach towels are provided. There are presenty some boogie boards, and other beach stuff available which tend to come and go with each visitor.
We are not connected in any way with the Napili Point rental program through the on-site office since we are renting and managing our unit as an individulal owner. This guarantees our unit for your stay and, since we desire to be competitive, we offer it at a cost savings over the official office rates. Since we live on Maui, we can provide timely attention to any concerns you may have during your stay.
Since we are not connected with the Napili Point rental program, the only services available to our gurests from the office are: free high speed internet and free local phone calls; however, you must activate the phone with a $50 deposit at the office.
We have recently moved into our new home (we have been building over the last three years) from living in C18. This has made C18 available for rent along with C21 which we have been listing on VRBO (305703). If you find your dates are not available for C18, please refer to our other listing for C21 on VRBO (305703).
Smoking is not permitted either in the unit or within twenty feet of any building (Hawaii State Law); however, smoking is permitted in designated areas.
We know you will be very pleased with your vacation here in C18 at Napili Point and will want to return.
Reservation Policy
All reservations for Napili Point C18 must be made through the owners, David and Ellen Ernisse via email or telephone. Please note that requested dates will only be confirmed after a three-day-plus-damage deposit is received. Once the deposit is received, the requested dates will be blocked on the 'Availability Calendar' within 24 hours.
Reservation Procedure
By way of email or telephone, send a request for a reservation listing the following information:
1. Name and address of responsible party.
2. Arrival and departure dates.
3. Number of guests (maximum of 6).
All payments are to be made by personal check or bank check in US funds, however, we do accept credit cards through Pay Pal with an additional 3% charge.
We will respond promptly with availability confirmation for the desired stay. To complete the reservation you must send:
1. A three-night deposit
2. A damage deposit of $200, fully refundable if the unit is left in good condition (normal wear and tear is expected) and,
3. A signed copy of the Rental Agreement (sent to you via email or fax).
4. An email or phone call indicating that the above have been mailed to us so that we may tentatively hold your desired dates until we receive your deposits.
All of the above should be received by us within 7 days of availability confirmation. This will confirm and hold your reservation until your final payment is due. If these steps are not completed, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. Deposits received after the 7 day period will be returned if the unit has been subsequently rebooked.
Full reservation payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Failure to send payment in full will result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of your deposit. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are not accepted over the phone, All cancellations must be received by email or in writing. The email date stamp or carrier post mark determines the date of cancellation. Cancellations are subject to the following fees:
1. Cancellations after receipt of deposits and more than 90 days before the scheduled arrival date are subject to a $200 service charge. The initial deposit less the $200 will be returned.
2. Cancellations within 90 to 60 days of arrival date are subject to a service charge equal to half of the three-day deposit or $200 whichever is greater. The remainder of the deposit will be returned.
3. Cancellations within 59 to 31 days of the scheduled arrival date are subject to a service charge equal to a full three-day deposit. The damage deposit will be returned.
4. Cancellations within 30 days will result in forfeiture of all payments made except that the damage deposit will be returned. If we are able to rebook any portion of your cancelled reservation, we will refund the net portion received less a $200 service charge.
5. PayPal fees (3-3.9%) will not be refunded.

This was our second time renting from the Ernisse family and, again, the accomodations were superb. The unit is super clean and beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards etc. are provided. Ellen is very responsive and makes sure that her guests have everything they need. Getting up in the morning and sipping coffee on the lanai- there is no better way to start your day. The snorkeling with the many turtles in the bay right in front is wonderful. The coastal trail is in walking distance. Condo is the perfect size for a family of 4 to 5.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We spent a fabulous 3 wks in Ellen and David's condo. Unbelievable views and superb location. I would recommend it to anyone. You have a snorkelling bay out your front door and right next door you have a beach for tanning,boogie board,surfing or snorkelling. World class golf with 2 Kapalua choices and Lahina within 20 minute drive for shopping and numerous restaurants. The scenery and hiking trails are also world class. Very difficult not to have an enjoyable vacation, we would love to come back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our first trip to Maui was a perfect two weeks at Napili Point. The phrase "location location location" couldn't be more appropriate. Perfect, is what I would describe the location. CLose to beach, shopping, golf, and a condo fully equipped to enjoy every amenitie. Our unit had a modern equipped kitchen with granite counters, current appliances, a dual icemaker that we loved for the evening slushy concoction, as well as every condiment and spice needed to accent our meals. From bedding, to paper towels, to pool noodles, beach chairs and some snorkel gear this condo had it all. We loved the view from the balcony every morning with breakfast and every evening with a cocktail. Watching the turtles in the bay and the sunset every evening will be memories we will treasure. We used the on site barbecues for most meals and never had to wait for one. The grounds were well maintained and we never saw any litter anywhere. The entire complex was really beautifully landscaped with manicured grounds and lots of lovely shrubs, trees and tropical plantings. Our unit was really tastefully decorated and well maintained. Our contact with the owners was really great making our vacation even more enjoyable. They gave us helpful hints about the island, kept in contact when we had a slight problem, and quickly responded to our inquiries. I will stay there again if I am lucky enough to go to Maui again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent a week in January, 2013. Beautiful condo -- the living room and bedroom loft offer amazing ocean views. Full kitchen, beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkels, even a pack and play for our grandson -- all provided. All the amenities one could hope for to make a vacation memorable. The complex has two pools, barbecues and grassy areas. Snorkeled with the turtles in the cove right below the condo. Short walk to the sandy beach, but it's a spectacular one around the point to Napili beach. David and Ellen have a lot of pride in their two units, and they live close by if there were an issue. Recommend this with many stars.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I have lived on Maui for 23 years but on the Mountain - "upcountry", I thought I had seen it all - Napili is so beautiful and this condo is amazing! Such a beautiful spot, right on the ocean, your view from the double windows is amazing! The condo has everything you need, great snorkeling with turtles right at your feet, a beautiful sandy beach next door, great restaurants to walk to on the water, a great condo with everything you could possibly need or hope to need. I would highly recommend this place to family, friends, anyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I just got back yesterday from staying in this beautifully appointed condo. It has been nicely updated with granite countertops and comfortable furnishings. What a wonderful snorkeling spot. We had stayed many years ago in another condo on the bay and we knew the snorkeling would be great. Well it only got better with so many turtles to share the bay with, we felt we were in our own salt water aquarium. With wonderful sunsets on the lanai in the evening and a very comfortable bed we came back home totally relaxed and rejuvenated. Ellen and David the owners were very easy to work with and always available to answer all our questions. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We stopped at costco and safeway and cooked most of our meals in the condo. There are boggie boards, sand chairs, umbrellas and beach towells for your convienance. You can walk easily to the other resort beaches on napili point if you want a sandy beach. If you have a chance book before you come to Warren and Annabell's Magic show. Very entertaining. It is a close up hand magic and comedy show for adults only (but a clean show). They interact with the audience and it was so much fun. I celebrated my 62nd birthday there. If you are a die hard foodie, you must try Bev Gannon's restaurants. We ate at the General Store. Absolutly delicious. We even met her that night. Check their website though, we went on a Monday night, and if you brought in a food item your entree's were 50% off. Quite the savings. Used the Maui Dive shop for snorkel gear. Helpful and prices weren't bad. This condo would be great for a family with children because of the private bedroom for parents and 2 twin beds in the loft for the kids with their own bathroom. I would stay there again definetly.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

C18 was truly a great place to stay for my families week in Maui. We loved the ocean view, the quick walk to a wonderful beach, and best of all getting to snorkel with all the turtles every day. The condo was confortable and big enought for my husband, parents, two daughters and I. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. David and Ellen were great to work with. My family spent a week at Napili Point C-18 and had a wonderful vacation. The condo was clean, well stocked and well maintained. The condo had beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards to use. Next door is a shop to rent snorkel equipment, paddle boards and other things you may need for the water. We loved the quiet location and great views from the lanai. The property offered something for eveyone. My husband and I enjoyed snorkeling with the turtles and fish in the private cove in front of the property. My boys enjoyed swimming, boogie boarding and skim boarding a 5 minute walk away at Napili Bay. After a day at the beach we enjoyed swimming, barbequeing, and enjoying the sunset on the lanai. We didn't even want to go out to dinner. The only drawback was that the bedroom window faces the parking lot, so it was a little noisy. We had a great experience and hope to return. Thank you David and Ellen!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family has been returning to Napili Point for vacations for over twenty years now, but this was our first visit to C18. We naturally love the view overlooking the cove, the turles, Lanai and Molokai looming in the distance. But what really sets C18 apart from similar neighboring condos (and we've stayed at many over the years) is the upgrades and personal accomodations and touches. The kitchen has been remodeled and the granite, cabinets and flooring look great! They supply everything you could ever need during your stay including laundry and dish soap and things that other condo owners don't provide or keep locked up for their own personal use. Tons of towels available everywhere, a fully stocked kitchen, even providing condiments in the fridge and pantry. More importantly, the owners keep the prices reasonable and will work with you! They are very friendly and available if needed. We had a very pleasant weeklong stay and will definitely return again to C18!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: David and Ellen Ernisse have lived on Maui for over 24 years with the exception of a seven-year sailing adventure around the world with our two sons. In the accompanying picture surrounding us are: our two sons, our daughter and her husband, and our two grandsons. The picture was taken on the lanai of C21 Napili Point.
Why the Owner Chose Napili:
David and Ellen Ernisse purchased units C21 and C18 fifteen years ago. After living in C21 and C18 for the past four years, we have finally moved into our new home in Olowalu which we have been building by ourselves for the past three years. Prior to returning to Maui in 2007, we completed a circumnavigation of the world over a period of seven years visiting fifty-five different countries. Since we have the ability to live just about anywhere we want, we still choose Maui as having the best weather, people, and facilities of anywhere we have been. Napili Point is one of our favorite locations having lived in Kehei, Wailea, and Makena in past years.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We enjoy the views of, and the proximity to the ocean which remind us of our sailing adventure around the world. The changes of weather, the sunsets, and the protected location of the unit's lanai are some of our favorite benefits of staying at Napili Point C21 or C18. We enjoy watching from the lanai the world class surfing during the winter season as well as the humpback whales. For those interested in activities away from the resort, it would take a year to visit all the beautiful beaches and mountain areas, and to play on all of the exceptional golf courses. In our opinion, one could not find a better place to visit or live on Earth!
