  My husband and our three adult children and our family member (our Dog) had the best time ever such a short walk to the beach and boardwalk which was GREAT because I have arthritis,we stayed on the bottom floor, the place is Beautiful,Russ was very nice and answered all my questions before we arrived,the bedrooms were very comfortable,The king size mattress was so comfortable for me in the master bedroom(hard to find with my arthritis and was kinda worried how I would sleep,but I slept like a baby)WE ARE STAYING THERE EVERY YEAR FROM NOW ON,THANK YOU SO MUCH RUSS,THE SADOWNICZAK FAMILY

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  my family stayed in this unit in 2009 and had a great time .russ was very accomodating.the unit was clean and spacious for our family of 7.was hoping to rent it again sometime ,but with all the negative comments ,i wonder if i should.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

  I have to say I was very nervous reading the negative reviews. I was also confused. My husband and 2 young children visited this property and met with the owner, Russ, at the end of June. He showed us the unit we would be renting . People were occupying it at the time and they were more than happy to let us visit. Even with occupants the unit was clean and the family staying there had nothing but good things to say about the unit and about Russ. He also showed us the unit on the ground floor. It was in a bit a disarray because he had a crew of men in there painting it. Even with the renovations they were doing it was still tidy. Every time I called Russ he has either answered or called me right back. I spoke to him on Sunday and brought the negative reviews I had read to his attention. He assures me that the unit will be immaculate at check in. He has also asked me to call him 1/2 hour before I arrive on the day of check in and he will meet me there and walk thru the unit with me and my girlfriend to make sure we are satisfied with the condition of it.

  I would like to comment on what a wonderful time my family and me had in ocean city.The property was perfectly located in the center of everything,beach boardwalk,great views and plenty of room.The owner was so helpful supplying all we needed to create memories of time spent together. We were more than pleased with VRBO that we shall return again.

  Unfortunately this vacation included a lot of cleaning and begging the owner to make the unit suitable for vacation. Appliances broken or missing. Kitchen appliances moldy, greasy and food on pots and dishes. Dirty and disgusting sinks and bathrooms. Floors and closets full of filth, mold and mildew. Cabinets and drawers needed disinfecting. Smoke detectors disconnected. No added features or supplies. When brought to the owners attention, he said he would clean but never done. I spent hours cleaning and no way to get the unit where it needed to be. I requested money back for the amount of inconvenience and lack of care to the unit but he would not discuss. We asked him to come back to discuss at a later to time but he never returned.

  Owner response: I went out of my way to please this family. Initially, she haggled my normal rental rate and she won. Thereafter, she called about miscellaneous complaints that were completely fallacious.The issue of mold in the closet I knew nothing about until I read this review. And when I checked after they vacated, I found no mold in any closet. This family wanted nothing but money. Impossible to please.
