  We loved Bluebird and all of its many amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything is labeled and easy to find. The pool, hot tub and all electronics had instructions which you do not find renting through a real estate company. We spent time each day in the wonderful pool. The Currituck Club is a beautiful development and having accesss to the golf club was a huge bonus! We will definitely be back.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

  Our family had a wonderful experience staying at Bluebird. The owners couldn't have been nicer or easier to book with! The home that they provide was incredibly well-equipped and well maintained. They have thought of everything! A week wasn't long enough to explore all of the entertainment (foosball table; video games; board games; hot tub; pool; surround sound; netflix; beach accessories; high quality kitchen utensils and cookware; etc). Beautiful view of golf course too! The community that this home is located in, is meticulously maintained; has several large pools and a fitness center and is a lovely place to be. A trolley will take you to the beach so you need not worry about parking. But the homeowner provided a private beach club membership which was an excellent perk providing ample parking and a beautiful, uncrowded section of beach; complete with a pool and restroom facility (proved very helpful with 2 young children). The week went by so fast and we never wanted to leave! Thank you for a fantastic trip. We would seriously consider booking this home again!

  My husband and I and our adult children and granddaughter spent a wonderful week at the Bluebird. The home provided everyone areas to be alone as well as areas to play. The kitchen was spectacular! Even my son and son-in-laws did a night of cooking! We particularly enjoyed the access to Pine Island Beach. It had very few people and we had room to play games and build sand castles. My granddaughter loved the pool. It was a truly great vacation! Thank you so much!

  Our family had a great, and very relaxing stay at Bluebird. The Currituck Community is wonderful and offers so many fabulous amenities. We enjoyed having our own private pool and took advantage of the numerous community pools, the workout facility, the biking/running paths, the golf course with discounted pricing, and playground to name a few. However, our favorite amenity was having access to the Pine Island Beach Club. This beach was never crowded, there was always plenty of parking, and it was convenient having a pool located on the beach with clean restrooms. Our 5 children said, "...this was one of our favorite vacations." Bluebird is in excellent condition and the owners provided everything vacationers might need. Noni was a pleasure to work with; and she even provided us with a packet of information filled with things to do in the area. We are not sure when we will visit Corolla again, but if we do we would definitely look to stay at the Bluebird.

  Bluebird exceeded our expectations. We chose this house because of the Pine Island Club privileges as well as the discounted golf. The house was beautifully decorated, very clean and well maintained. It was stocked beyond our expectations. Behind every door was a pleasant surpirse. We just couldn't get over how Noni had thought of everthing down to duct tape and a sewing kit! She even supplied spices, trash bags, laundry needs, bikes, beach toys, every kitchen utensil you could want. The kitchen even had a Kitchenaide mixer! Noni was even happy to take a phone call and answer questions on a Sunday morning. We were impressed and would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. The Currituck Club is well maintained and offers many amenties for the entire family.

  Our stay at the Bluebird, was beyond compare! Being our second trip to the OBX, we decided to upgrade our rental selection----and the Bluebird exceeded our expectations! Anything you could possibly need or want while vacationing is there, and of the utmost quality! This allowed us to not have to pack many items needed for our young children---games, books, beach items, etc.! And the kitchen is a dream...again, stocked with everything imaginable. The neighborhood pool just a two house walk away, is a dream if you have very young kids----with a large shallow area for them to play in! And the Pine Island Club membership was awesome as you got the best of both worlds with the beach and the pool! (Our girls even got to make crafts there our last day) Without a doubt, the icing on the cake is working with Noni to set up your trip. She has everything taken care of for you down to the smallest details! We won't soon forget our stay at Bluebird, and would love to visit it again for future family vacations! We knew it was a winner as we pulled away and our girls (2 & 5) cried about already missing Bluebird!!!

  What a gem! Kids and adults alike were so comfortable and content in this beautiful, well-appointed, and very clean home. Noni has thought of every detail and then provided extras. She left no stone unturned when she anticipated what her guests would need! We truly had everything we could ask for and especially loved having such a well-equipped kitchen. We also liked having access to the Pine Island Beach Club because the beach was quiet and it also provided shade and a nice pool. This was our first stay in the Outer Banks and we are already looking forward to coming back!

  We are back home and so sad we had to leave the beautiful Outer Banks, Corolla, and this awesome home! Let me tell you, we loved this house! It had everything! Every time we were looking for something, we found it! The kitchen was completely stocked with every utensil and appliance we needed and more. There were spices in the cupboard and things like foil, baggies, laundry detergent - everything you could possibly think of! We were so happy this home had everything we needed for our 2-1/2 year old! All of the toys and beach toys were awesome! The pack and play and booster seat were perfect!!! The decor in this home was beautiful. We truly fell in love with this house and did not want to leave!!! Everything we found on the internet was accurate and the pictures were great, but the house in person was much more beautiful!! What a pleasure it has been working with the owners to rent this home. Every step of the way they were prompt, polite, courteous, and just wonderful to work with. We are so pleased we were able to rent from them, and will certainly recommend this home to our friends. The area, we thought was the best around. Corolla is just beautiful! It wasn't touristy or tacky in any way. It was very lush and understated. There was alot to do - loved that the trolley took us to the beach and back - what a great amenity! The golf course was great - our husbands really enjoyed golfing on such a nice course. Being by the grocery store was a big help as we cooked mostly all our meals at home. It was a wonderful trip and we are so glad we found this home to stay in.

  Got kids who don't HAVE to be on the beach all day? This is the place for you and your family! Firstly, Bluebird is CLEAN. It has the best selection of kitchen utensils/dishes I've seen at an OBX rental home (been to 6). This great house is situated on a cul de sac, relatively safe for kids to play, ride bikes, scooters, etc. There are all sorts of "appropriate" DVDs and games for kids. Books galore (kids and adults) also. It is such a comfortable layout...we could put the kids down and enjoy some real adult space/time. Wifi worked great. There were NO bugs, no stinky Sound smell...and the Currituck Club was situated nicely between Corolla and Duck. It was close enough to the beach and Tim Buck II to ride our bikes! A good work out, but absolutely doable! Having Harris Teeter nearby made eating in so easy....which was a great cost savings.The Hammocks Pool is literally across the street from Bluebird and there is a sizable 1 foot area for smaller kids that leads into a 3ft area. It is perfect for families with kids of multiple ages and who have varying swim skills. The only need for improvement was on the trolley service: it was not reliable. It was more sporadic than we anticipated and we spent too much time waiting. It came every hour, if that. It was also crowded sometimes, so even if you had been waiting for 45 minutes, there wasn't enough room for you/your family. We ended up driving or biking, mostly, to get around. Trolley aside, we will definitely be back to Bluebird! Oh -- the owners were very organized, communicative (had a terrific binder of all sorts of OBX recommendations) and although I never met them, seemed lovely, just like their home.

We just wanted to let readers know that the Currituck Club Board has voted to add a fourth trolley to their fleet of trolleys. Hopefully, this addition will help alleviate some of the waiting time the Bluebird Fans experienced in 2010. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we have joined Pine Island Beach Club. This exclusive amenity was offered to a limited number of Currituck Club residents and allows our guests another excellent beach option.

Additional information about rental rates

Until confirmed, all rates are subject to change without notice.

The Guest signing the rental contract is the responsible party and will agree to occupy the house for the entire duration, arriving and departing with the other members of the Guest’s party.

One half of the rental rate is due within ten days of booking property and signing rental agreement.

Balance of rental rate, cleaning fee and tax is due five weeks prior to arrival. Security Deposit of $600.00 is required ten days prior to arrival and refunded upon satisfactory inspection and inventory after departure.

Additional Fees and Taxes:

Plus cleaning Fee of $200.00 and Taxes of 12.75%
