Recently, my wife and I had the opportunity to stay at this "Charming Capitol Hill Apt with Garden and Mountain Views, WiFi" for five nights while visiting our daughter in Seattle. It was flat out terrific. Arriving late at night following a weekend trip to nearby Olympic National Park, check in was easy as the owner provided us with the combination for a lockbox where we found our key to the apartment. Opening the door, we were greeted by a beautiful combination kitchen, dining area, and living room. The furnishings were functional and tasteful and the kitchen was well-equipped for preparing and eating our meals. The bedroom was likewise charming and featured a comfortable bed with multiple choices of pillows. Storage was found in a fairly substantial closet, dresser, and nightstand. The bathroom was fairly large. In addition to the usual equipment, a washer and dryer was also located in the bathroom. This came in very handy following our hikes in the national park and later in the week as we prepared to depart for the San Juan Islands north of the city. Located behind the apartment was a beautiful garden filled with flowers, herbs (which the owner said were available for our use), and vegetables. The apartment's location was excellent with public transportation readily available within a few blocks of the home. A well-stocked supermarket, open about 18 hours per day, was within easy walking distance. The neighborhood was very quiet with trees, flowers, and shrubs in most every yard. There was also a small pocket-park very close by. We felt very safe, even when returning to our apartment late at night. Lake Washington was relatively close by, as well as a number of parks, including the beautiful Washington Park Arboretum. For those who enjoy exploring cities on foot, this apartment was well-placed. My wife and I explored several very interesting neighborhoods within easy walking distance. For more distant locations, we used public transportation. Although we generally ate at restaurants outside the immediate neighborhood, the owner provided a list of a number of restaurants within walking distance. The owner was friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. The listing was accurately described and the photographs provided were very useful. I would recommend "Charming Capitol Hill Apt with Garden and Mountain Views, WiFi" to anyone, including friends and relatives. We could not have been more satisfied.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Perfect for two. Everything you need and then some (thanks for the coffee beans!). Clean and comfortable. Owner on site who checked and made sure all was well. Perfect location near bus lines, very quiet. My deposit was returned the day of departure! Staying in this apartment was a really wonderful experience. We were fairly confident it would be very good, but it was far better than that. The unit is essentially a walkout basement of the owners home. It has its own entrance, there are huge bright windows in every room - and we never heard the owner above. There was lots of street parking available, and we were surprised how quick and easy of a drive it was to downtown Seattle, probably less than 5 minutes. There are also two bus stops nearby that go directly downtown. We had absolutely every amenity we could as for, including gourmet coffee supplies, lots of guides and maps, etc. Everything was very clean and organized. The shower was excellent, and soap/shampoo was supplied. The garden and view are beautiful, we enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast sitting outside each morning. There were several excellent restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops nearby, and the owner provided a guide with area information. We'll definitely be returning!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is comfortable and centrally-located, making it easy to get to our Seattle destinations by car and by public transportation. A billing glitch was immediately handled by the owner. I will definitely reserve this apartment again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We spent a week visiting our son who lives in Seattle. When telling friends and family about our accommodations the only word needed is perfect. The listing description was very accurate. The apartment was spacious and immaculate. The gardens were amazing. To be able to sit outside overlooking the garden to read or have our morning coffee was a luxury. The accessiblity to the apartment, parking and ease to reach any destination in the Seattle area was great. We felt so comfortable and anything we could possibly need in the apartment was already in place. The owner was very gracious giving us total privacy but at the same time always available for questions if needed. Can't think of anywhere else we would choose to stay on our next visit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We had the pleasure of spending the weekend in this lovely Seattle, Capitol Hill apartment. The apartment itself was spacious and immaculately furnished. The bed was really comfortable. The setting, overlooking a spectacular garden with a serene view offers a feeling of countryside, just minutes from the city. Access by car, bus and walking was easy. If I were looking for a place to have an extended stay, this would be my first choice. The homeowner could not have been more accommodating and flexible. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Absolutely delightful. 2 blocks off main thoroughfare, neighborhood is quiet & safe. 3 bus lines within 2 blocks, many restaurants/stores/coffee shops within walking distance. The rental was exactly as reflected in listing, maybe even better. Small waterfall outside entrance encouraged tranquility in tandem with full backyard garden with colorful flowers. Owner was responsive to questions & furnishes unit with abundant information about Seattle, activities & transportation. Seattle is a charming city with no lack of things to do & see. The Pike Place Market is a must see; Pacific Science Center, Aquarium, waterfront, Lake Union, Seattle Art Museum, Pioneer Square are just a few options. We did day trip of whale-watching in the San Juan Islands which was great. I cannot wait to return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Stayed here for 4 nights in mid July and found it very well furnished and very comfortable and well maintained. Enjoyed sitting out in the lovely garden in the evening with a glass of Washington state wine in hand. Washer/dryer were a bonus as was the good wireless connection. Had a a car but never found a parking problem on the street. Location makes for easy access to the city (tho the traffic can be annoying) with lots of restaurant/grocery store options nearby. Can recommend Coastal Kitchens on 15th street for casual dining out and if you enjoy raw oysters don't miss Taylor Shellfish/Melrose Market on Melrose St. Thanks, Julia!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.
