  We had an incredible time at Blue Vista. These are the things that really stood out as being extra nice touches. The location of the house was convenient yet tucked enough away to feel very secluded. The view was breathtaking. The hiking trail next door down to the private limestone beach allowed for some great day hikes and exploring. The gold carts were included in the rental. That was very nice because as we met other guests on the beach, we heard that many of them had to RENT golf carts for $35/day. Having all of the snorkel and beach gear was also GREAT. There was some great snorkeling right there at Honeymoon Beach. We saw sea turtles, conchs, urchins, sting rays, cuttlefish, flounder, many other brightly colored fishes, and even some feather duster worms all within the confines of the swimming area of the beach! The house was well stocked with little items that if you were going to forget something on the trip, these would be the things. Since there are no stores on the island to pop over and pick these items up, it was nice to have them there. The option to pre-arrange the heavies was a great touch although we did not take advantage of it. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a great selection of movies, books, & games. The grill was ready to go with all the tools. Another big win for this house is that it has it's own reverse osmosis system to purify drinking water. We took this a little for granted when renting the house until we started seeing other guests on the island having to spend time hauling SUITCASES of bottled water back and forth on the ferry from St. Thomas! The house was spotless clean and had plenty of space with great big view windows. Katie and Warren the property managers were at our beck and call with information and assistance. They were so accommodating and friendly.

  This place was the perfect getaway for my family. The proximity to the airport made this an easy commute for our two young children. Once we got to the house, we couldn't believe the size of it. It easily accommodated two families with 3 young children. We brought extra things (snorkel gear, binoculars, etc) but when we got to the house we saw it was already provided. We felt very safe the entire time on the island. We picked up a couple things for our first night at Gourmet Gallery and made a comprehensive grocery list for the next day. The grocery transportation was the most difficult part of the week. Especially when carrying multiple cases of beer : ) It is a short trip to Honeymoon Beach and there is barely any traffic. Honeymoon Beach was exceptional. The gentle surf and ample shade provided a perfect relaxed environment for all. Heidi provided us a large selection of different lunch options daily. Mark and Vicki were excellent and very helpful property managers (Thank you). I would tell more people about this place, but I feel it would take away from the natural beauty of it should it become more mainstream. Shhhhhhhh....

  Staying at Blue Haven was a great way to explore the island and get away from the crowds..The house was well equipped, spacious and had amazing views..Enjoyed our stay and will be back!!

  We made a quick stop for groceries at Gourmet Gallery at Crown Bay Marina before taking the ferry over to Water Island. We were met by the property managers, Mark and Vicki, and then it was on to Blue Vista and we were not disappointed. The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The pictures do not do Blue Vista justice. The view from the expansive back deck is stunning! We watched the cruise ships come and go every day. Blue Vista has everything you need, complete with ice maker and dishwasher. There were plenty of beach towels and beach chairs, you name it - they provided it. The golf cart made for a fun way to get around for the week. The golf cart ride to Honeymoon Beach was about 5 minutes. We loved the food and drinks at Heidi's Honeymoon Grill. Be sure to do Heidi’s Saturday night dinner on the beach. Water Island is a relaxing little island and the residents are very friendly. Honeymoon beach is amazing! If you want a relaxing vacation I can't think of a better place. We will definitely be back to Blue Vista.

  My family spent a week at Blue Vista this year, and cannot recommend it highly enough. The property itself is comfortable and airy, a gently breeze moves steadily through the house day and night. An abundance of windows ensures both a great view out over the sea and plenty of light to fill the house all day. We felt as though we were on an island of our own, the property is sufficiently secluded such that we never heard anything but natural noises during the whole trip, no neighbors or passing cars to disturb us at all. The appointments to the house were above average as well, the kitchen was filled with quality dishes and cookware, and having a grill right outside the kitchen door is a great touch. All of the furniture was comfortable and appeared new. The deck is spacious and well furnished, and was very convenient to use. The central location meant that either ocean was just a 5 minute walk away, we snorkeled at one place or another every day we were there. Being near to the ferry dock was also great, a trip to St Thomas for groceries took no time at all given how secluded Water Island is. We rate our experience as excellent overall with no complaints regarding the property or our dealings with the owners/property manager. We intend to use Blue Vista whenever we visit Water Island in the future, and have absolutely recommend it to friends considering a visit.

  This was our first visit to Water Island and Blue Vista. The house has all the comforts of home with amazing views of the Carribean Sea. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a great TV and DVD player. Of course we didn't have time for watching TV with all there was to do in the area. A highlight of our trip was chartering a boat for a half-day snorkling trip. We saw some very colorful fish and swam with a seaturtle. St. Thomas is a short ferry ride away. We enjoyed shopping and dining out in St. Thomas. We especially enjoyed the time we spent on Honeymoon Beach. It is the perfect place for a laid back day of swimming and sunbathing. The only negative thing about our trip is that the time past too quickly.

  This trip makes my 4th to Water Island (yes, I do love it there!) and my first to Blue Vista, definitely one of the best properties on the island. The house is newly renovated, comfortable, well-equipped, spacious, and has views to die for. A golf cart is available for exploring the island, but both the beach and ferry dock are an easy and enjoyable walk from the house. Honeymoon Beach is beautiful and quiet, has sun and shade and is just right for a day of reading, swimming and snorkeling. Bring your own lunch or enjoy one of Heidi's cooked right on the beach. Heidi's Saturday night gourmet dinner at sunset on the beach and Monday night at the movies (on the beach) are other Water Island highlights. For those who like more action, St. Thomas' shopping, restaurants, and nightlife are just a 5-10 minute ferry ride away.

  This house and island have it all. We stayed for a week in February and experienced all the island has to offer. The beauty of Water Island is it proximity to St. Thomas (population 50k) while retaining its own identity (population 100 people) as a getaway island. We co-mingled with the locals at pizza night, movie night and dinner on the beach night, but also spent much time on our own exploring the island by golf cart, bicycle and foot. The house is wonderful. It's on the windward side of the island, so we opened the louvre glass windows for a constant breeze. The amenities are more than ample. Great kitchen, spacious bedrooms, etc. We rode the golf cart all over the island, we rented bikes, we walked, we swam, snorkeled, sailed, rode the ferry back and forth to St. Thomas, ate on the big island, and found a killer bar in the shopping district. The living is easy at Blue Vista on water Island.

  I recently had the pleasure of staying at Blue Vista on Water Island, a serene and undeveloped gem in the Caribbean. This is a spot for those who seek rest and relaxation and all the benefits of a quiet island getaway without the hustle and bustle of commercial development. It is more a community than a resort, and this comfortably furnished property offers relaxation, natural beauty, and a stunning view across Crown Bay toward St. Thomas, just minutes away by ferry. During our stay at Blue Vista, the owners resided in the downstairs apartment. The arrangement was never an intrusion and offered the benefit of helpful suggestions and arrangements regarding local opportunities such as sailing and snorkeling. There is a large flat screen tv available to guests, but who would want to be distracted from the quiet, the view, and the glorious water? Donna Moran

  Blue Vista is a gracious welcoming retreat perfect for those who really want to leave the cares of the world behind and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Water Island. Blue Vista is ideally situated on the breezy side of the island, a short walk to Honeymoon Beach, one of the best beaches in the Virgin Islands, convenient to the ferry to Crown Bay on St. Thomas and overlooking Limestone Bay, a great shelling beach. The kitchen is well equipped, the rooms are spacious, and the views are magnificent. These two travelers give four thumbs up to Blue Vista!
