Four Fiber Friends
Four Fiber Friends having an adventure at the Madrona Fiber Fest at the Murano Hotel in Tacoma. We used to stay on Whidbey Island and commute back and forth for classes, but this year we found this cottage and took a chance. LOVED IT! So close to the fiber fest and the perfect get-away vacation spot. Although we had major wind and rain, the cozy fireplace, comfy couch and chairs made our evenings delightful. Bird watching, boat watching, and walking down to the beach were adventures for parts of the weekend! -the gazebo with twinkle lights was the best 'night-light' ever. - hope to make reservations for our Madrona Fiber Fest weekend next year!

-perfect for our family Christmas!
This place was perfect for our family Christmas! We literally couldn't tear ourselves away from the awesome views. I guess sight seeing will have to wait for our next trip up here. Our four year old granddaughter will talk about the 'beach house' for a long time. Thanks so much for allowing us to share this beautiful place.

A great place to relax.
We just wanted to say thank you for opening your home for us during Thanksgiving. It gave our family a time not only to get away from work and the busy things we do, but a time to All be together. We've come from Hereford, Tx, Biloxi, Ms, and Crane Hill, Al. Our son is stationed at Ft. Lewis, so we decided to meet here. Your place is awesome. Cute and Cozy. The view is absolutely breath-taking. We enjoyed watching the eagles, playing horseshoes, and making smores on the fire pit. A great place to relax. Thank you again

From a tiny hummingbird to the great bald eagle
Today is checkout day. It is my birthday. What a marvelous place to have a birthday breakfast. We loved our stay! - Returning every night to the cottage gave us a much needed chance to exhale. The gardens and the view (which eluded us until yesterday) fed our souls. We cooked a number of meals and loved the kitchen. - It is a lovely place; spotless and comfortable. - Thank you for your warm hospitality. We would recommend your fabulous cottage to anyone... and will.

an "open-airy feeling"
--We left home late after finishing harvesting the family Hazelnut Orchards. My little family was exhausted and needed a few days away. Our arrival was greeted by brownies and a nice bottle of wine with "horsey" glasses - my 10 year old loved the glasses. The house was so clean, light and had an "open-airy" feeling. I loved it and so did my girls. --The weekend has been a blur. We explored a nearby shopping area, went to church - At the house we cooked most of our meals, roasted marshmallows in the fire pit, went on walks around the neighborhood, and just enjoyed the scenery. Thank you Robin and Debbie for the lovely weekend! God Bless You All!

We did it all
What a relaxing stay we have had here.. and what beautiful weather! We definitely had an 'OMG' moment when we arrived! The pictures online don't begin to do this place justice. Busy: dinner at the Lobster Shop down the street was great - Saturday Tacoma Art Museum, Gig Harbor, ferry across the Sound, Bon Jovi Concert! Sunday we just couldn't bring ourselves to leave the cottage, so we relaxed, we read, we sat outside and enjoyed this gorgeous view. How lucky you are to own such a place and how wonderful of you to share it with others. I took hundreds of pics -- so our memories will last forever. Hope to see you again someday.

Seeing it in person took our breath away
Though we were captivated by the photos of your property on the Home Away website, seeing it in person still took our breath away! Your personal welcome and tour to explain all the activities available was over the top. Our itinerary didn't allow time to partake any of the fun things, but every hour here was filled with drinking in the views, taking photos (we caught a gorgeous sunset last night) and just feeling relaxed as if we were home. This is a real tribute to your mom and grandparents. How fortunate you have been able to have grown up in such a beautiful place with a close family!

What a marvelous surprise
What a marvelous surprise to arrive at this exceptional location! It looked very nice on the web site, but the real experience is so much more than what can be portrayed there. I spent a big chunk of time snapping photos from all the beautiful photo-op spots around the property. It is incredible how you maintain the extensive gardens and lawn! I'm sorry we didn't make use of all the fun stuff - badminton, horseshoes - maybe next time. So thank you for offering us such a beautiful space to relax in and enjoy and for being so welcoming and hospitable. I look forward to the next time. ps We three cousins have been able to exhale and relax in this restorative surround
