This property is not a good choice. Poorly maintained, refrigerator/ freezer does not work, the first day..NO WATER.....the house was not clean, and it was freezing! Took a full day to warm it up from 50 degrees. Lake Wildwood is beautiful, a gorgeous lake, great parks, beautiful golf course & Tennis courts. The Clubhouse has great food and the people are wonderful. I would never rent this property again without doing a total walk through with the owner. The one good thing was the bed in Master Bedroom....most comfortable bed ever! If this property were to get a deep clean, a new refrigerator, new screen door on porch, curtains to give you privacy, garage cleaned out outdoor lighting operational, and weeds attended to, then if there were no other properties in Wildwood, I would think it would be ok. Note that the access to the lake is very challenging.Recommended for: Pet owners.
Owner response: Good afternoon Holly! I am sorry your stay with us started off bumpy however I believe that there are some details that were left out. I was notified of the water issue at 7PM at night. I sent my husband over immediately with a handyman and they were unable to get the water on after working on the home for two hours due to the lack of light. I came over at 9PM with water in hand to make sure you had potable water until the morning. We were able to identify the problem first thing in the morning and had the water back on by 8AM. My assistant and I take the property management of our properties very seriously and in fact both of us had done a walk through of the home on two occassions that day to confirm that the home was ready for occupancy and neither of us saw issues with cleanliness. Since the owner had stayed in the home the week prior and with no issues, I did not think to check the water. My bad! Anyway, we jumped through hoops to get you into this home in the first place at and at a reduced rate besides. We were responsive to the issue with the home as well. For the many people that have had a great vacation experience at this home, I hope that this home will continue to be given consideration. It is a fun lakefront home (yes there are many steps to the lakeside which we are very straightforward with) in which many families have had great vacations. In my estimation, problems with homes that are not lived in sometimes happen however with communication from the tenant and a responsive management team, problems can be mitigated and great vacations will be had by all!! Why the Owner Chose Lake Wildwood:
The elevation is very temperate and favorable year round. Average temperatures are in the mid seventies in the Spring, the mid nineties in the summer, back to the seventies in the fall and approx the low forties in the winter. It is a great elevation for year round recreation. John and I are golfers so year round use of the course is important!
