Spacious by Parisian standards, this 70 m2 (800+ sq feet) apartment has been in my family for nearly 100 years. Recently remodeled (2005/6) Bis2 maintains it's charm with beautiful moldings on the ceiling, the original, honey colored wooden floors, clay 'tomettes' on the eat-in kitchen floor, and road maps from our family holidays during the 60's wallpapering the separate WC. (look carefully at the LA map and you will notice that the 10 freeway is missing!)
Situated in a familial yet very lively neighborhood filled with cafes, parks, grocers, wine merchants and award winning bakeries - you can sit at an outdoor table facing the park and watch 'le tout Paris' go by. A newly opened Monop right next door insures that no want that will go unmet.

This apartment is where we always stay on our trips to Paris. It's actually our home away from home. There is plenty of space to stretch out after a long day of sightseeing, unlike most Parisienne apartments. Situated in the right location with many restos around. The metro is literally around the corner and the gare is not far either. We will always stay here unless it's booked!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed in this lovely apartment for nine nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The owner was very helpful both before and during our stay. We felt she understood our needs in particular as she has American roots, too. We were three persons - my husband and I, who are in our sixties, and my daughter who is a college student. The elevator was important due to my husband's knee problems and it functioned perfectly. We slept soundly and very comfortably using the bedroom and living room. There is a large hallway between the two sleeping areas and so there is a lot of privacy. Four persons could easily be accommodated in this way: 2 in the bedroom, and 2 in the living room using the twin bed there and the large, wide, comfortable couch. The neighborhood is ideal in our opinion for simply enjoying the Parisian lifestyle - pastries in the morning, the Metro for sight-seeing, good eateries, the Eiffel Tower in walking distance, pretty parks, a terrific shopping street, ATMs, newstand, and a well-stocked grocery store next door. Also, we rented bikes and the rental company - Fat Tire Cycles, is within walking distance. We are very grateful for a terrific time in Paris in large part due to this wonderful apartment as our foundation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I've rented a few apartments in Paris and this is one of the tops. Quality, price, location, the owner's personal touches and history of the place made it really special. The owner/manager was very responsive and all the comforts of home were available. There was a Monop mini market right next door and although there are some great specialty shops, they are not always open when you get home after 8pm. The metro stop is just about around the corner and with a carnet for the metro, Paris is at your doorstep. I highly recommend this apartment.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I rented this apartment March 30-April 9, 2012. The description and pictures of the apartment and neighborhood are spot on. The Commerce metro station is a five minute walk. The no. 8 line runs to Invalides, Place de la Concorde, and Madeleine. Rue de Commerce is a lively street with several brasseries, a fromagerie, boucheries, and many other businesses. There is an Eric Kayser boulangerie for your daily croissant or baguette. Several upscale restaurants are within blocks if you are a foodie. The apartment is quite comfortable, clean, and attractively furnished. The owner, Marie, lives in the same building and is available should any situations arise. She provided excellent recommendations. She has everything in the apartment you need, including adaptors for electrical outlets. The Monop' grocery next door has the basics. If you plan to cook seriously, you can find larger grocery stores within a short walk. We rarely heard English in this neighborhood, although the brasseries we visited had someone on staff with a basic understanding of English. Don't let this dissuade you from staying in Marie's family apartment on rue des Entrepreneurs. It was a wonderful experience and I will certainly stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much Judith. Glad you all enjoyed this very French quartier... part of the charm of being in Paris actually. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Stayed with my wife and two Daughters. 10-15 walk to Eiffel Tower, a grocery store about 30 seconds from the front door, a great neighborhood and shops on commerce street adjacent. About 2-3 minute walk to subway. Historic feel of the apartment. Owner was nice and showed us the surrounding area in the rain. Great experience, would highly recommend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: It is true, there is a most convenient MONOP right next door open 6 days a week from 8am - midnight, Sundays 10 - 2. It's VERY helpful to have all the basics right next door. So glad you and your family had a nice stay, hope you'll return sometime when the weather is nicer too!

The Kitchen is perfect, everything a real cook needs even a garlic press! There were decent knives and the cupboards were clean ! Zabie has done so much to make this place even better than home, it's truly delightful and close to metros and great restaurants, there's a Lebanese Restaurant walking distance that is to die for! I have such wonderful memories of this little hideaway and look forward to another visit soon! for anyone reading these comments book soon because it's the best deal in Paris ?Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My daughter Allison and I stayed @ Zabie's apartment in Paris A-15 for 6 weeks in 2007, She was studying Plien Aire painting in Paris. The apartment is special in so many ways. The building itself is historic and comfortable. The apartment has been restored and improved. The light from the massive and abundant windows filter soft tones and face both the street and rear enclosed courtyard. We enjoyed the kitchen with new appliances and the Miele washer/dryer was an easy laundry solution. The furniture is both new and clean along with Zabie's antique pieces. The neighborhood is very French, the cafes, churches, and boutiques are full of local Parisians. Within walking distance to the metro or the water taxis on the river. As Zabie's family has lived in this neighborhood for generations I found the local bakeries and cafes very friendly to Allison and I. We will return to this charming French feeling very soon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Much has changed in the quartier since 2007! The sidewalks on Rue du Commerce have been widened so the cafes have moved a bit further out onto the street, many people are strolling and window shopping in the evenings, and there is a fabulous Gelato store by the park.

This place is truly charming and conveniently located close to great Parisian type restaurants and bakeries (Yum). There is a market a block away to pick up anything you may have forgotten and want to have/ cook in the darling little kitchen. The Apartment makes you really feel like you’re living in Paris. There are Metro stops super close as well to get you anywhere in Minutes!!! Oh yeah... Also some really great clothes shopping right around the corner. Loved staying here !!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: It's so true that the cafe scene in our little neighborhood is a lively one! What I love about being here is how close the rest of the city actually is - by metro, bus or even of foot - and how nice it is to return to our 'village in the 15th' at the end of a day seeing the sights.

Stayed here recently for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! The apartment is beautifully decorated with antiques, has everything you need and is very clean. The building is quiet and in a great neighborhood. Metro station, shops and restaurants right around the corner, and a very nice weekly farmer's market, too. Walking distance from the Tour Eiffel and the Seine river and only a few metro stops from all the other major sights. If you're like us and prefer to stay off the beaten track and away from the large tourist crowds, this is a gem! We really felt very much at home, just as if we were living in Paris.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are very fortunate to enjoy Farmers Markets within easy walking distance on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday - with actual farmers (some certified organic) and small producers.

I have stayed in this apartment on several occasions and will be returning shortly. It is an old world classic with wood floors and all the amenities. It is in the 15th which is a great neighborhood where Parisians live. There are few tourists except for me. Within blocks there is everything you need for your stay (dining, groceries, cheese, wine, bread) and the Metro line is a block or so away, so you can get to the 1st and 6th in 10 minutes. And the Eiffel Tower is a 15 walk.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: This is a lively locals neighborhood, no doubt... and after a night or two, you will feel like a local too!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1964
About the owner: My mother was Parisian my father American, so I've lived my life between Paris and Carmel, Ca. My daughter and I currently live in Paris. She attends (will soon be graduating from) a bilingual French high school which is just 2 blocks away. I am passionate about the year round outdoor markets (be they produce or antiques) and would be happy to share my experiences with you.
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 15:
I love this neighborhood (known as the Village of the 15th) because of it's many parks, little shops cafes and quaint buildings.
I could have chosen to move anywhere in Paris, but there is something about the down to earth feel of the quartier, not so far from the madding crowd, that is just so captivating.
This charming apartment has been in the family since the early 1900's... it has been remodeled twice and is furnished with family antiques. When you stay here, you are in a home, not just any rental.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
It's an easy walk from bis to the Eiffel Tower, the Champs de Mars or the original Statue of Liberty at the Seine. A quick stroll to the Pasteur Institute and UNESCO, this apartment is wonderfully located to enjoy the best of both worlds; the quick paced Parisian city life and a quieter, gentler village life where you can easily become a local. Served by 2 metro lines (the 8 & 10) you can be whisked across the city in no time and with ease.
