Art lovers are minutes from Storm King Art Center and a short drive from DIA Beacon.
A vacation paradise in every season.
Commutable to NYC by train to Hoboken or Express bus to Port Authority.
Owner Profile: This is our third year renting out our cabin. We've enjoyed it tremendously over the past 20 years but our schedules are making it difficult to make it up every weekend as we use to.
We hope you get as much enjoyment out of this special place as we have over the years.
I chose this location because of the outstanding beauty and seclusion of the property. The close proximity to NYC was a fabulous addition to this charming getaway.
You will not believe that a house so situated close to NYC can possibly be this secluded and beautiful.
The mile long dirt road bordering a nature preserve makes you feel like you are vacationing miles from civilization.
The beauty of this property is that you feel cut off but you are not. If you so desire there are restaurants, movie theaters, transportation to the city and the Hudson River all within a 15 minute drive.
The Storm King Art Center is just down the road.
Hiking just out the front door and cross country skiing during the snowy winter months.
A stroll down the wooded dirt road is a perfect way to start and/or end your day.
Enjoy.

This cabin was much prefered for our West Point family over hotel rooms. We had room to be together while still be near WP. I wanted to find something on the same side of the Hudson and we were about 15 minutes from WP. And we weren't far from Garrison to catch the train into NYC. Just great. The deck was a great place for our graudation celebration. I kept thinking how cozy this cabin would be in the winter with a fire in the lovely fireplace. I wish we'd have known about this cabin for other WP visits. The owners were great to talk with prior to our visit. Very helpful. I will certainly be sharing this place with other WP parents.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

As a West Point family, this cabin made a perfect headquarters for us for our cadet's graduation. We were only about 15 minutes tops away from WP. I made a point of finding a place on the same side of the Hudson River and even on graduation day, we had no problems with traffic. We also were not far from Garrison to catch the train into NYC. After graduation, we loved opening gifts on the deck and having our celebration. My only regret? Not having found this place for previous visits to West Point. I will be talking to other WP parents to let them in on this great cabin!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

What a pleasant surprise to find this lovely cabin to be just as cozy and wonderful as advertised! We had a very lovely getaway with our two young kids (ages 7 and 9). Very convenient to hiking, to the nearby Nature Museum, and to Jones Farm. Also convenient to shopping and restaurants. Frankly, the four of us would also have been content to remain on the property during our 3-day stay! The cabin is lovely and the surrounding grounds are quiet, private, and lots of fun to explore. We will definitely be coming back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This cabin is perfect for a relaxing weekend in the woods. It is very private and secluded. The road to the cabin is very narrow but manageable. The kitchen is small but has everything you would need. Lots of hiking and biking trails nearby, along with the Woodbury commons outlets for shopping if you so desire. We hiked right behind the house. I would recommend this place for a family or a romantic couples getaway. Can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers.

We were looking for a long weekend away from NYC and this property exceeded expectations. Very secluded and relaxing cabin with access to some great hiking just off the property. We knew we had made the right choice as there were multiple deer along the drive back to the cabin when we arrived. Recommend to anyone looking for a great weekend away. Pictures and description from the owners were accurate.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
