Charlotte condo description
This residence is part of The Home Collection-Charlotte's Boutique Furnished Residences. TheHomeCollectionCLT.com
This two bedroom residence is located on Queens Rd., one of the prettiest tree-lined avenues in the city, in the prestigious neighborhood of Myers Park, 1 mile from Uptown. Created by famous landscape architect John Nolen in 1911, Myers Park's curving avenues, gracious homes and small parks combine to create one of the South's most livable neighborhoods, a mile from Uptown.
We've maintained the character of the historic 1920's apartment building, while completely updating and renovating the interior. Stainless appliances with granite countertops, new heating and cooling systems and plumbing provide modern amenities, while the original refinished hardwoods, bathroom tile, graceful arched doorways and 2-panel doors provide the charm so often absent in new construction.
Large double-hung windows let in an abundance of light in all of the rooms, and the screened porch allows you to enjoy the outside, whether for breakfast in the morning or for a drink or meal in the evening. The apartment is located on the ground floor, to the rear of the building, so it's quiet and private with easy access. Off-street parking is also provided.
The galley kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc., a gas range with convection oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, and a stackable washer and dryer. Off of the kitchen, a dining area comfortably seats four but can seat up to six.
In the large living room, upholstered furniture provides comfortable seating, a flatscreen television offers entertainment options, and a desk and wifi enable business travelers to work.
400-thread-count linens and thick Egyptian cotton towels offer all of the comforts of home, and each bedroom has a generous closet and a television. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second a queen. The sofa in the living room converts to a queen sized bed.
Wide sidewalks and towering oaks throughout the neighborhood provide an ideal place for walking or jogging, and a coffee shop, multiple restaurants (including Ethiopian, Thai, casual and fine Italian, etc.), shopping and even an independent movie theater are a half mile away. Spring through fall, a farmers market is open Wed, Fri and Sat around the corner from the apartment, and a new greenway offers a convenient connection to Freedom Park, Dilworth and Carolinas Medical Center.
Ideal for short- or long-term stays for business or pleasure, or when visiting someone at either CMC or Presbyterian Hospitals, our goal is for you to feel at home during your stay. We'll try hard to accommodate almost any special request and we live less than 2 miles away, so are readily available should something come up. We look forward to hosting you. If this apartment is not available for your preferred time period, please ask as we have others available in similarly great locations.

Wow! We were completely amazed. When we first arrived we found a charming older building with 8 units that all had their own screened in outdoor porches. There was plenty of parking. We opened the door to our 2 bedroom unit and it was decorated so tastefully and up to date with beautiful colors and eclectic artwork. The lights were on and music was playing and we found it stocked with adult beverages, pasta, dessert, English muffins, etc. So unexpected and what a great touch after being on the road driving all day. No need to head out to a restaurant or go grocery shopping. The owner, Jim, even had a printed letter addressed to me with more details on the table with an assortment of newspapers, magazines, etc of the area. Every time I emailed him he would email right back very promptly. He sent several detailed emails prior to our stay to make sure we knew exactly what to expect and what to do. They even allowed our Labrador, Duke, to come and stay. I can't say enough about our stay. We highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again! Thanks again Jim for everything.

Nice place, extra service!
Nice place, extra service!
We loved staying in the beautifully renovated and charming Queens Terrace #3... in the beautiful location of Meyers Park. The decor of the unit was attractive, and the location was exceptional. We loved the screened in porch… We were greeted by one of the owners and he had a lovely tray of food and wine ready for us…a very nice surprise. I would recommend staying here, however, keep in mind it that is an older building so with that, you will hear your neighbors a little bit. Overall we had a very nice experience!

I greatly enjoyed my stay and felt that the condo was well equipped, centrally located, and clean. We really felt at home, which is important when you are traveling with a small child like we were. The food items Jim left for us in the kitchen were so helpful. We were able to have dinner and breakfast from the items he left without having to go out for stuff on our first night. This was very thoughtful since we had a long car journey before arriving! We will definitely stay again when we are next in Charlotte!

Quaint, charming and the most courteous owners possible.

It's a charming two-bedroom rental that made me feel like home. If you’re into the 1920’s/1930’s character then this is the place for you. It’s had the space that my friend and I needed to hang out and catch up, yet have separate comfortable bedrooms for us to retreat to at the end of the day. The condo is spacious with an updated kitchen, the screened in porch served as a comfortable morning place for a cup of joe, and the other amenities met all my expectations. The icing on the cake was the fact that the owners treated me as if we had been friends. I ended up getting in late and they had treats waiting on me (nuts, a bottle of wine, banana’s, apples, spaghetti and pasta sauce, coffee creamer and orange juice) all for my taking with no expectation of funding back. How generous.

We just stayed a few days at this apartment and it was great. The photos do accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenitites. The apartment was very clean and well decorated. The owner added little touches that made the apartment feel like a home. The area was close to down town where we found shops and places to eat. I would recommend this property to anyone to is looking for a nice place to stay.

I brought my whole company to Charlotte for a tree climbing competition in Freedom Park. With 9 of us, I knew we would have trouble finding a place we could all hang out together, but I found these Myers Park condos, and it worked out perfectly. We took up 2 condos, #3 and #8, for the 3-day weekend. Both condos were clean, comfortable, and well decorated. We spent most of our days at the park, but the evenings were spent relaxing and eating and throwing back a few frosty libations. I'll be booking again if we can make it to the Charlotte Tree Climbing Competition next year!

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay!
We had a wonderful stay at this Myers Park residence. James welcomed us when we arrived. It was so nice to have all the extras provided like wine, fruit, pasta, sauce, orange juice, coffee, butter, etc. That made our first day even more relaxing. The decorating was very nice and made it seem even more like a home. This property is located in a beautiful neighborhood, which we enjoyed on our walks. We would highly recommend this property as a vacation place to stay away from home.

Fit for a Queen!
Fit for a Queen!
I travelled to Charlotte with my mom, sister and niece. It was all of our first time and we truly were lucky to find this place! We spent 4 nights here an unlike a stale hotel room, the apartment offered a cozy way to enjoy the beauty that Myers Park and Charlotte have to offer. We made frequent use of the screened patio from drinking our coffee in the morning to eating our Price's Chicken Coop take out for lunch. The gorgeous natural environment offered a wonderful divergence from our homes in NYC and LA. We woke up to birds chirping each morning! Getting to and fro was a cinch! The place is so close to Uptown but a car is recommended for getting around.

About the owner: My husband James and I travel extensively and prefer staying in apartments rather than hotels when we travel. Upon our return from a month renting a great place in Istanbul last summer, we decided to offer some of our properties here on airbnb! We are Green Developers (see our latest LEED-certified project celadongreenway dot com) who enjoy meeting new people and introducing them to our fair city. I'm a native Charlottean so can help provide a true local's perspective during your visit, which can be especially helpful for people relocating to Charlotte. Our clean and comfortable properties are located near Uptown Charlotte, in very walkable and safe neighborhoods. We try our best to provide a true home away from home. Thanks in advance for your interest and we look forward to hosting you.
Why the Owner Chose Charlotte:
Charlotte has been my home for 40+ years, and we love sharing our city with other travelers. We feel that location is paramount in any decision to vacation, and ours is one of the most centrally located neighborhoods in the entire city. We purchased this home and lived here a number of years before buying a single family home nearby.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Location, location, location. Our walkable neighborhood provides the ability to live car-free, and when a car is needed, you can get anywhere in the area in minutes. Near both hospitals and close to the Uptown business district, you'll enjoy staying in the center of everything, but in a quiet residential neighborhood. As a native Charlottean, I can help guide you around our city, and can be especially helpful for those relocating to the area.
