  The house accommodated the 9 of us comfortably (5 kids, 4 adults). We stayed during the Fall/storm season and the house never really got warm enough (although the heat was on as was the fireplace) for several of us to be comfortable, so we wore extra layers. The house is really very close to the beach and a short walk for a hot beverage at a nearby cafe. The 1.5 bath is actually one full bathroom and one sink, I thought the ".5" implied a toilet and a sink initially. We stayed for two nights. One day we stayed inside and played games, watched movies, made pizza, etc. and the second day we got out to the beach to play. The kids really enjoyed the beach. It has a good location and the price is right for a young family on a budget. Clean and full kitchen. Also, the "crib" is actually a pack-n-play/play-pen.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

  Owner response: We are so glad you had a good time. You are so blessed to have young children. The beach in the fall and spring can be so iffy. We just stayed for a week in April that was quite windy and cold outside - the house stayed at whatever temperature the thermostat was set for and we were toasty warm without using either fireplace. • Great place to get married!

  We decided to get married on the beach on the 4th of July, and this was the perfect house for the occasion! It was a very short walk to get to the beach where we held the ceremony, and were blessed with wonderfuly clear skies and the wind even eased up for us. Then everyone came back to the house for food and cake and fellowship. There was plenty of room in the house and outside for all to dine comfortably, then everyone went home and we had the whole place to ourselves for the duration of our honeymoon. We went for walks on the beach, went to the local shops and restaurants, played a board game from your collection, and enjoyed a movie each night from your extensive VHS tape collection! It was quiet, comfortable, and there was a definite "home" feeling about the house. Well, I could go on and on about the wonderful time we had and what an awesome rental this place is, and how much we didn't want to leave when the time came, but I'll save that for next year when we go back for our anniversary!   We had a great time and there was enough room for all of us to do crafts and eat at the big table. The only draw back was trying to get a wheelchair into the house. We rigged up a ramp from some wood in the garage. Once she was in she could get around. The view and beach access was great.

  Owner response: Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I really can relate to how much more difficult things can be with a wheelchair. I have stayed here with my mom in a wheelchair. I could easily get her in and out by me stepping up on the short entry step and pulling her chair up backwards. I hope this makes sense and that you can visit out home away from home again soon.   I just wanted to thank you so much for letting us rent your beach house. We had a fantastic time playing on the beach, finding sand dollars, and having a bond fire. Our family was very comfortable and everyone wants to go back. You have made this so affordable for a large family, we would not have been able to do this any place else. Thank you again.

  Our family used this property as a two-night get away, and loved the location, the big dining table, and the high chair and porta crib on site. The large grassy yard was also great. It is advertised as a "one and one half bath," however, and we were surprised to find that the half bath consists of a sink in the upstairs hall. The house easily accomodated six adults and three children, but having only one shower and one toilet would be tough for more than a couple of days.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

  Owner response: We're glad to hear you enjoyed our beach house. Like the description says, downstairs there is a large bathroom with shower/tub. The "second" bath is actually just a sink, vanity, and mirror upstairs where you can do your personal grooming. There is NOT a second toilet in the house. Just across the front yard you can see the state park public restrooms where you can use a toilet and/or shower. This year we completely gutted and remodeled the kitchen and did the first story floors so that they are beautiful hardwood and Amtico. Check back with us next year and you'll find a second bathroom and large 2nd story Sunset Viewing Deck.

SHORT TERM RENTAL AGREEMENT This Short Term Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between Randy and Lorrie Flem (“Homeowner”) and party listed as “Name” above, referred to as “Guest” here, as of the last set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. The parties hereby agree as follows: 1. Property. The property is located at 32 South 2nd Street, Pacific Beach WA 98571. 2. Rental Party: The rental party shall consist of Guest and the following persons as listed above. 3. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 10. An additional charge of $10.00 per person per night for guests in addition to 10 will be assessed. 4. Term of the Lease. The lease begins at 4 pm on the “Arrival Date” above and ends at 12 pm on the “Departure Date.” 5. Minimum Stay: This property requires a 2 and 4 night minimum stay depending on the season. If a rental is taken for less than the minimum stay, the guest will be charged the minimum night rate. 6. Rental Rules: Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property. 7. Rental Rate and Fees a. Damage Deposit: Your damage deposit will not be refunded if there is: i. damage to the property or furnishings; ii. dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning; iii. animals were allowed on the property and/or in the house; iv. not meeting the house cleaning criteria as posted in the house, or v. any other cost incurred by Homeowner due to Guest’s stay. b. If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately. c. All refunds will be made via www.PayPal.com. d. Rental Rate. By signing this agreement, Guest agrees to all fees and charges as described in the Booking Confirmation and Rental Agreement. 8. Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner. 9. Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the booking deposit will be refunded as follows: • All but 5% of the rental amount or $50.00 (whichever amount is greater) if cancelled 60 days prior to the Check-in Date • If cancelled less than 60 days prior to the Check-in Date we will do all we can to re-rent the property. Refunds will be worked out depending on our ability to rent the property during your reservation dates • Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, or that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment.
