We booked a last minute getaway at this cottage and loved it!! It was close enough to the beach that we could just walk down or do a quick drive to the beach. Love the vintage cottage style decor! Our stay at the Saltwater cottage was great. When they told us just to bring our food and clothing they honestly mean that. We had everything that we could have needed. And it was clean and cozy. They kids all had a great time playing in the yard and roasting marshmellows in the fire pit. It was especially nice that there were some coloring books and some toys for the kids. It made it helpful for us to unpack and kept them busy. We will be back for sure.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

It is a lovely cottage within easy walking distance of the beach and the little town of Pacific Beach. The cottage itself is pretty, comfortable and well-appointed. I especially loved the beds and everything that went with them, they were so cozy. We came for razor-clamming and managed to get 2 beautifully sunny and warm days in March to clam on the early morning tide. We got our limit in 15 minutes the first day. The beach access (for cars) is less than 2 minutes away. We would definitely pick this cottage again for any kind of a beach trip.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The cottage was wonderful.Very comfortable.The beds! omg I could of stayed in them all day,Just a short drive to the beach.The sand dollars were amazing. they were every where. The first day there they were having a clam dig. everyone was getting there limit. The second day the beach was all ours.It was breath taking.Jeff and I had so much fun letting the kids in us come back.Drove around looking for antique shops .surprised nothing was open.went on a 4 hour drive looking for a resturant,this cabin is a great reconnect ,relax,and enjoy the beach spot. bring lots of food to do all your cooking there.We will come back as this is our new favorite place to be when the ocean calls us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Just a quick review about our stay. It was our first VRBO type of place but not our last. The Saltwater Cottage was very clean and everything worked. We planned on cooking over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised to find all the utensils, pans, etc. that we needed. The beds were very comfy. We also liked how easy it was to get to the beach. It was too cold outside to use the BBQ or the fire pit, but they were nice amenities. I am looking forward to staying here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We came from Seattle to meet friends from Portland. Had a relaxing weekend- walks on the beach with the dog fetching the ball, beautiful sunsets and the weather couldn't have been more perfect! Cooked all our meals in the kitchen which had everything we needed. Cozy living room to watch movies and the Olympics. Beds were super comfortable and the entire home was well decorated and had that beachy feel to it. Thanks for a great weekend getaway!Recommended for: Pet owners

The saltwater cottage is a beautiful beach cabin. Everything is decorated very tastefully and the comfortably. The owners are thoughtful and easy to work with. Everything was very clean and the photos quite accurately reflect the property. The propetry is less than an hour's drive from Lake Quinnault. Beach is a short walk away. Overall, we had a great time. The property was clean, cute and a bit off of the beaten track. The beach nearby is a great location for a walk, swim (it's cold), or pet.Recommended for: Families with young children

Saltwater Cottage is definitely the place to stay when you want to go to the beach. Max and I returned with my husband this year and we enjoyed our stay once again. We ran the beach every day and saw beautiful sunsets and it was great to have the cozy warmth of the cottage nearby. Saltwater Cottage has become our annual retreat away from the city and look forward to returning again, very soon.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

The pictures are very true to life. I know sometimes I have viewed the pictures and then got there and thought am I in the right place. It was very clean and had everything you would need for a weekend or for a month. The decor was just great it has a very homey feel to it. It invites you in and makes you want to stay much longer. The beach was great and not crowded like Ocean City. If you want to get off the main beat and retreat this is the place. There is a cute Coffee House in town great coffee and sandwiches. People are very nice the owners as well as the folks in town. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away for a weekend or plan a vacation.. Lisa and Steve were great and wanted to insure we had a wonderful experience and weekend. I know I will be back. PS They understand that your furry friend is like your child. That was one of the things that sold me on the place to begin with.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My 16 year old daughter and I were lucky enough to stay here for a 5 day Mother Daughter trip. We had an amazing time and made so many special memories to last a lifetime. The cottage is clean, comfy, cozy, peaceful, and decorated so beautiful. It has everything you need to feel right at home. The owners are so nice and have thought of everything you need, with so many little special touches that just make you smile. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is stocked for cooking, the table is perfect to craft on, and the living room comfy for late night movies. The beach is wonderful, we had so much fun beachcombing. We found 82 sand dollars all in one walk and saw the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. There is a sweet little coffee shop in town, and a good bakery too. But mostly we stayed at the cottage and had special family bonding time. We tried several new recipes, baked a cake, crafted until 2 in the morning most nights, watched movies on the DVD player, listened to music, talked, sang, danced, and giggled. This is the perfect place for a Mother Daughter trip. We can't wait to go back to our home away from home. We arrived at the Saltwater in our minivan with our 3 young kids. Knowing it was a clamming weekend we had stopped to get my husband all licensed up to dig some yummy goodness. We arrived to find a beautiful, clean , and well stocked little cottage. The little touches make the cozyness just ooze from every nook of this cute little place. The Saltwater is well stocked with most of what you might need for your stya. Dishes, cookware, towels, a functional kitchen. The kitchen provided plenty of room for us to keep our brood fed and happy. It was a little cold and rainy while we were there so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Saltwater has TV cable all hooked up along with a DVD/VCR player! When the need arose it was nice to say... "lets sit down and watch a show" to our busy kids. We had a wonderful time down at the beach flying our kite and learning all about "beachcombing". Pacific Beach is charming and we enjoyed the quaintness of the little place. I would recommend doing most of your grocery shopping before you arrive as the little grocery store is high priced. The staff there however was very helpful and had everything we had "forgotten". The Saltwater had ample room for our family of 5 and we enjoyed our time! The decor is very beachy and we loved it! Thank you Lisa and Steve for providing a fun place to get away for the long President's Day weekend! We will spread the word about your charming slice of heaven at the beach! We arrived here on December 1 and today it is Valentine's Day. We rented this wonderful cottage for 3 months to have a place to stay while looking for a more permanent home to relocate to here in Washington. The cottage has everything you will need whether for a weekend or a longer stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, the furniture is cozy and comfortable, and the beds will give you the best night's sleep you have probably had in a very long time. Our stay has been restorative. We slept, worked puzzles, read, watched movies and enjoyed the many birds we had each day at the feeder off the back deck. Every day, weather permitting, we walked into the little town of Pacific Beach. Everyone here was so friendly and welcoming. Ocean Shores is a short and beautiful drive (make sure you stop at Roosevelt Beach) to buy groceries or take in a movie. The road leading down to the beach is just around the corner from the cottage and we spent many hours walking up and down collecting sand dollars and allowing our little beagle, Gordon, to just be a dog. We have had a wonderful time. Lisa and Steve have put a lot of attention to detail so your stay here will be comfortable and accomodating. We are going to miss this place when we pull out in the morning and will always cherish this time we had here.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing.

What a delightful time my little family had celebrating Thanksgiving in Pacific Beach! We were looking for a nice getaway, and this fit perfectly. The Saltwater is a very charming, comfortable little place...We cooked a turkey, watched too many football games, kept up with friends and family via wifi, played cards, walked the beaches...even ventured to Ocean Shores for a movie. The cottage had everything we needed.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Took my dog and father to the beach for a week getaway trip. The cottage is a wonderful cozy place to relax and unwind from the busy city life. Our timing could not have been more perfect. Late September and the weather was still beautiful. We spent alot of time at the beach since it was only two blocks from where we stayed. The sunsets were awesome. I am looking forward to going back around the same time next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We had a wonderful time at the Saltwater Cottage. What a cute place! We enjoyed Labor Day weekend at Pacific Beach with parades and even a street dance. This cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms were very cozy and the beds were comfortable. Our family had a wonderful time this past weekend at the Saltwater Cottage! We loved how clean and cozy the cottage was. The beds were comfy and the entire house had a warm and inviting feel to it. The cottage is very well maintained and has cute beach decorations throughout it. The beach was very close to the cottage and our children were able to easily find many sand dollars! We took a short drive into Ocean Shores, went to the playground near the cottage, and were even able to visit another beach that the owners recommended to us prior to our arrival. We have already recommended the cottage to many friends and can not wait to return again! Our only disapointment was that there was a shower and no bathtub as our 3 year old does not like taking showers :(Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

This cabin is so cute! There was 7 of us in all, 4 adults, a 9 month old and two crazy dogs! The cabin is very well cared for and decorated with beach accents that are adorable! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed bbqing out on the back porch and roasting marshmallows in the firepit! There wasn't a porch light which made it quite hard to see though! The beach is about a mile away, short drive or a nice walk with the dogs! It's a beautiful quiet beach. We visited Ocean Shores for the day but found it nice to come back to the quiet Pacific Beach State park and let the dogs run around! Overall the stay was fantastic! :)Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

Our welcome and stay at Coastal Nest Cottage could not have been better. We arrived to a perfectly clean cottage complete with the celing fan going and soft background music playing. It is obvious this is a well cared for cottage by owners who do all they can to anticipate your every need. The decor was so homey and the amenties plentiful. Even my husband said it was adorable!! The Saltwater Cottage is a sweet little cottage. Very clean & orderly. A beautiful kitchen. A big wonderful walk in shower. So absolutely lovely. Our stay was grand! We ventured daily to the Olympic National Forest (Lake Quinault) to hike or ride bikes....it was wonderful. Afterward we'd retreat to our cottage and cook up a great dinner (grill provided) and head to the beach for a walk. Lil's Pantry in Seabrook (1 mile up the road) is a wonderful place for provisions. The cherry cheesecake gelato is fantastico! I was having so much fun I extended my trip an extra day but when it came time to change my flight...I had no contact with the outside world. Not having a land line phone was painful. I couldn't get a signal from the wi-fi there at all on my iPhone or MacBook? I had to use the phone in the cottage across the street. This was the only inconvenience. We brought a couple of music DVD's and were not able to watch them...this cottage was not outfitted just yet with a DVD player. Everything else was stunning!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Olympic National Forest is a sight to behold and a must see if you are traveling here from a big city. I liken it to a natural outdoor cathedral. AMAZING. The old growth trees and the majesty of Lake Quinault are awe inspiring. I am sorry about your cellular service, the coast is a place that is not known for good cellular service and some carriers just do not have any coverage out here.The DVD player was in the cabinet in the living room, you are right, it wasnt hooked up..our oversite.The wifi has been an issue and are checking it out with the cable company. This was the perfect place for our week-long stay! So much more comfortable than any hotel/motel we could have stayed at; it was like being at home. We went crabbing in Westport one day, came back and had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare and cook our catch, including a decent internet connection to stream a video online that told us how to do it (we were getting about 6 mbps, not bad)! And one can't say enough about Lisa's decorating style, as evidenced in the photos. It was so relaxing and peaceful, absolutely perfect for our vacation. As described, this cottage is affordable and adorable!! I was lucky enough to be the first person to stay in this newly acquired/renovated cottage, and was not disappointed! To deal with the owners is fantastic. Lisa and Steve are helpful in every way put forth to them; any question answered and every detail taken care of. The cottage was decorated wonderfully, there is plenty of room, and everything you could need was there; including soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Everything was perfect from the very cozy bed to the well-equipped kitchen, to the uber cute beachy decorations. The attention to detail was amazing. The cottage has all the comforts of home. All you need to bring is your food. Rent this place and have a great time; I know I did! I didn't want to leave!!
