What a magnificent center of retreat, renewal, and expression. Beauty within, beauty without--all is beauty. Thank you for the opportunity to feel the land, touch the sky, and open my heart. This land rejoices and reminds me of my own joy. I will return again. This is the best kept secret in Silver City! Many Blessings,Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Just wanted to let you know that we had the best vacation we have ever had! We LOVED the house and the location. The house is just so comfortable, and we all felt so relaxed. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is so well equipped, and the stereo speakers produce excellent sound (odd comment, but I don't like "fuzzy" sound systems). Rob and I rode our bikes every day and managed to make it to the Gliff Dwellings and back on Friday - Aunt Ruth and Uncle Larry went horseback riding at Becky Campbell's (Gila Hot Springs), and they said it was the best trail ride they've ever taken. We made most of our meals in and appreciated having The Joy of Cooking. Thank you for making this very special place available to us!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It is no wonder Agave Ridge Retreat is nestled in the Land of Enchantment. There is so much magic to be found at every turn. The accommodations are an earthy delight with open spaces filled with rich tapestries, rugs and inspired artwork. The surrounding environment is sensorially spectacular. It is a perfect place to rest, renew...and return again - which I have twice now!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: The owner, Bruce, was a factory worker, logger, newspaper reporter, PR flunkie, and unpublished fiction writer before he discovered computers and lost all interest in reality. He spent 12 years in a computer fog, but gave it all up to move to the Silver City area in 1999. He is now in recovery, but does find time to manage an office building and a few other business projects in town.
Why the Owner Chose Silver City:
Bruce lived in this beautiful house for five years before turning it into a vacation rental. If you don't book it, he probably will. It's a sacred place that he likes to share with others.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This is the next to last house on the phone and electric lines. Beyond us are a couple of tiny communities and a hundred miles of wilderness. The nearest mall is about 90 miles away. It's a little inconvenient to get here, but worth the trouble.
