You've heard of the 'Three Ls' that define the best real estate: 'Location, Location, Location.' Now there's a fourth: 'Luxury.'
Welcome to Cozumel Island's most luxurious property in the best location imaginable. This one truly has it all: Right on the ocean, yet in town. NO RENTAL CAR OR TAXIS NEEDED -- SAVE $$$! You get the fun and peace of the ocean and the convenience and amenities of town in one package. This is the only place on the island that you will find that combination.

'The location could not be better. It's in the middle of everything. The facilities are world class.'
-- Roger Schirmbeck and Karen Crumley, Baytown, Texas

Plus, it's the only vacation property in Cozumel with full-time, on-site, English-speaking concierge service. Our friendly staff will take care of your needs AND give you insider advice and tips.
There are a few luxury condo and hotel properties in Cozumel. Problem is, they're miles from town. Unless you want to eat in the same mediocre tourist trap restaurant every day -- they figure you probably will, so why bother with good food and service? -- you have to pay $10.00 - $20.00 or more plus tip for a taxi EACH WAY to take you to a decent place for dining, shopping or nightlife.
Until now. Welcome to Casa Phoenix. If you want 5-star oceanfront luxury with a short walk to virtually every restaurant, shop and nightspot, you have found it. And there's an excellent restaurant (Prima -- Northern Italian, fresh seafood, USDA steaks, etc.) on-site with the most fabulous view on the island right on top of our building. More restaurants, shopping, two grocery superstores, nightlife are steps away (Carlos 'n Charlie's, Senior Frogs & Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville just 2-3 blocks away).
This is the only property on Cozumel Island with on-site, full-time English-speaking concierge service. Wi-Fi in the condo, TV with US channels, DVDs, free calls to the U.S. & Canada. Fully-equipped kitchen, 2-zone central air, 4 bedrooms each with private bath, ceiling fans, of course all linens, towels, etc. provided. In other words, this condo has it all.
The first thing you see walking into Casa Phoenix is the jaw-dropping ocean vista. The floor-to-ceiling sliding glass wall opens to the 50-foot private terrace, complete with hot tub!

'The view is to die for.
Drinking my morning cup of coffee had new meaning.'
--Stacy Plymale, Puyallup, Washington

Each of the 4 master suites has its own private attached bath.

'Definitely the best accommodations in the Caribbean.'
-- The Harris', Garden City, Kansas
********************************************************
The living room and two master suites open onto the oceanfront terrace. The two other suites have small balconies with town and partial ocean views. The fully-equipped kitchen features GE & LG appliances and Kohler fixtures.
3-level heated freshwater pool right on the ocean; snorkel or dive right off the beach. Private dock serves every dive and fishing boat. The sand beach is on a seawall; water access is via a small sandy grotto, swim ladder, or just jump in.

'Everything was more than I could ask for.
There are no words to express how great this place is!'
-- Caitlin Bruno, Saratoga Springs, NY

Compare our home to any other property. This is living like Cozumel has never seen. All the delights of the ocean at your back door, all the amenities of town at your front.
You deserve this. Welcome to paradise!

We loved every minute at the Casa Pheonix and spent most of our time on the balcony overlooking the water. We started every day with yoga (luckily we had two mats for the stone floors)on the balcony and ended it with a magnificant sunset and some nights, a candlelight dinner. It was so convenient to walk to town in the evenings and during the afternoons we snorkaled and sunned at Dzul Ha. The condo was beautiful and everything you said about the condo, the people and Cozumel was right on. We live on a lake in Minnesota where the winters ar long and cold. We'll be back. Thank-you for letting us stay in your beautiful home..Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

This is the third time we have gone to Cozumel and by far we liked this propery the best. The location was perfect, close enough to walk to downtown but not too noisy. The view was beautiful, staff attentive and place nice. We had a great time and plan to go back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My family rented this beautiful condo for a week in March 2013. We did not want to leave at the end of that week! The condo itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. El Cantil in general is clean, well kept and nicely located. Everything you could possibly want is within your reach. Two grocery stores, shopping and plenty of restaurants are within walking distance. (No need to rent a car.) The pool area is very nice. There's ocean access with good snorkeling. You can be picked up by dive and fishing operations right at the pier. We ate several meals at the restaurant on the top of the north building. All meals were very good. Bill and Alison are great to work with. All staff that you deal with at El Cantil are wonderful too.We will definitely return.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This was our fifth time staying in Casa Phoenix. It is such a wonderful place to stay on the island. We love the amazing staff who welcomes us back with each stay! The location is perfect. With two large grocery stores within a short distance. Also, it is a nice leisurely 15 minute stroll to the Plaza area. We found Casa Phoenix to be in tip top shape and it has all the amenities a person could ever want! We can't wait to return again to Casa Phoenix for our vacationing needs! The owners are such a pleasure to work with, thanks to you both!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Bill and Alison, We had a great stay at Casa Phoenix. Spring Break was a whirlwind. We love your little piece of paradise and are so glad we were able to come and enjoy it to the fullest. Your instructions were very helpful and we managed our airport transfers smoothly. All went well from the moment we arrived. First day, we were immediately impressed by our accommodations as we walked in the door, and then the view from the spacious balcony beckoned. We stepped out to mild breezes, clear skies and the varied hues of blue green water. It was already a great vacay! The beds are very comfortable. Having filtered water is a wonderful convenience. Wi-Fi and telephone availability is a huge plus. We enjoyed the shopping experience at the supermarket on our first day and it was so convenient to be across the street. You really don’t need a car as the area is walkable and we felt quite safe. Every amenity is attended to at Casa Phoenix. The delightful staff of EL Cantil worked tirelessly to ensure we had everything we needed. Daily maid service is a plus. Ramon, Claudia, Abraham and Luis are so accommodating. All the staff we had the pleasure of coming across are friendly and professional. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool with a margarita and nachos from Primos. Watch out for those margaritas as they must be the strongest on the island! Snorkeling right outside the El Cantil has plenty to offer in the underwater world of coral, spiny urchins, conchs, colorful schools of fish-we even saw a lobster! Food is great at all the area restaurants we tried and we prefer the local mom and pop to the large chains, but there is something for everybody. Some faves are: Albertos, Corona Bar and our top choice, Casa Mission, had a great mariachi band and we would go back for their great atmosphere, food and very good value. Bargaining at the little shops in town is a lot of fun if you have the time. Some will try to hook you with enticements of a cold beer, Coca-Cola, a shot of tequila (!) or an ice cold bottle of water. They have raised the experience to an art form! As I sit here writing this review, I pine to be sitting back on the balcony with a (margarita) view of another beautiful sunset and hope it won’t be too long before I am able to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The condo is everything that is described and more. The accomadations are first class. The condo is spotless and the beds are super comfortable. The personal hot tub is a wonderful extra. Everyone working at the complex is extremely helpful and polite. The location is ideal. We never took a cab our entire stay. You are walking distance to everything, shops, stores, bars and restaurants. I will certainly be staying here on any return trip to Cozumel!! Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: My wife Alison and I met in the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C., where we were both on the professional staff for years for various congressmen and committees. She's also worked for the U.S. Vice President and the American Conservative Union, and I also worked for Ronald Reagan in his campaigns and Presidency. We now live in Kerrville, Texas, in the gorgeous Hill Country and write a financial newsletter. I am an ordained minister and the pastor of Reformation Church. We are divers and first came to Cozumel in 1982. We have 4 great cats who tolerate our wonderful Springer Spaniel, Bettendorf. -- Bill Mencarow
Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island:
Alison and I first came to Cozumel on our honeymoon in 1982 and loved it. We then got our scuba certification and started going to the island as often as time and money would permit. We like Cozumel because, unlike other dive destinations, there's so much to do out of the water and because it's so safe -- crime is practically nonexistent. Before we found this condo we'd stay in different places but always had the same bad choice: stay close to town in a pretty funky place, or get a nice place miles from anywhere. There were no nice places, much less luxury places, convenient to town. When we saw these condos being built, saw the fabulous location (short walking distance to almost everything -- no rental car or taxis needed) and the quality (built by an American builder to first-class U.S. standards), buying one was a no-brainer!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love:
The fact that there's so much to see and do on Cozumel Island;
That it has virtually no crime, 'the safest Caribbean island' according to tripadvisor dotcom;
The convenience of being able to walk across the street to the grocery superstores (there are now two a block from each other!);
Having one of the best restaurants (Northern Italian, fresh seafood, USDA steaks, etc.) with the best view on the island on the top floor of our condo building;
The short walk to other restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc. and not having to spend money on a rental car or taxis back and forth;
Being directly on the ocean, not having to cross a busy street to get to the beach and pool (beware of this when you see ads for properties 'on the water');
Having some of the best snorkeling on the island right off our beach;
Relaxing & dining on the private covered terrace 7 stories up watching the boats (& cruise ships!) go by, feeling the ocean breezes -- sometimes from the hot tub;
Being able to get carry-out or order room service from the restaurant upstairs and just relax;
Being able to order drinks or food on the beach and at the pool;
Choosing from a wide variety of things to do, or choosing to do nothing at all...
Please see our condo website for much more info and many more photos.
