There are a few luxury condo and hotel properties in Cozumel. Problem is, they're miles from town. Unless you want to eat in the same mediocre tourist trap restaurant every day -- they figure you probably will, so why bother with good food and service? -- you have to pay $10.00 - $20.00 or more plus tip for a taxi EACH WAY to take you to a decent place for dining, shopping or nightlife.

The living room and two master suites open onto the oceanfront terrace. The two other suites have small balconies with town and partial ocean views. The fully-equipped kitchen features GE appliances and Kohler fixtures.

- Linens Provided : In addition to linens and towels, we provide soap and beach towels.
- Elevator (2) : Two large Otis elevators serve the building. One stops right outside the front door to the condo and goes to the lobby or to the beach/garage level.

- Garage : No rental car is needed (save $$$!) -- restaurants and shops are right in the neighborhood. But if you do rent a car, the underground garage has a locked gate and you will have a card key to open it. You will have one reserved parking space immediately across from the elevator. Also, you get a locked, walk-in storage cage assigned to your condo for suitcases, dive gear, etc.

Super Luxury Cozumel Oceanfront -- No Rental Car Needed!

Why the Owner Chose Cozumel Island
Alison and I first came to Cozumel on our honeymoon in 1982 and loved it. We then got our scuba certification and started going to the island as often as time and money would permit. We like Cozumel because, unlike other dive destinations, there's so much to do out of the water and because it's so safe -- crime is practically nonexistent. Before we found this condo we'd stay in different places but always had the same bad choice: stay close to town in a pretty funky place, or get a nice place miles from anywhere. There were no nice places, much less luxury places, convenient to town. When we saw these condos being built, saw the fabulous location (short walking distance to almost everything -- no rental car or taxis needed) and the quality (built by an American builder to first-class U.S. standards), buying one was a no-brainer!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We love:
The fact that there's so much to see and do on Cozumel Island;
That it has virtually no crime, "the safest Caribbean island" according to tripadvisor dotcom;
The convenience of being able to walk across the street to the grocery superstores (there are now two a block from each other!);
Having one of the best restaurants (Northern Italian, fresh seafood, USDA steaks, etc.) with the best view on the island on the top floor of our condo building;
The short walk to other restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc. and not having to spend money on a rental car or taxis back and forth;

Having some of the best snorkeling on the island right off our beach;

The "Mexican Super Walmart" directly across the street, also has fast food, multiplex cinema (American films).

She's also worked for the U.S. Vice President and the American Conservative Union, and I also worked for Ronald Reagan in his campaigns and Presidency. We now live in Kerrville, Texas, in the gorgeous Hill Country and write a financial newsletter. I am an ordained minister and the pastor of Reformation Church. We loved every minute at the Casa Pheonix and spent most of our time on the balcony overlooking the water. We started every day with yoga (luckily we had two mats for the stone floors)on the balcony and ended it with a magnificant sunset and some nights, a candlelight dinner. It was so convenient to walk to town in the evenings and during the afternoons we snorkaled and sunned at Dzul Ha. The condo was beautiful and everything you said about the condo, the people and Cozumel was right on. We live on a lake in Minnesota where the winters ar long and cold. We'll be back. Thank-you for letting us stay in your beautiful home..

I had never been to Cozumel before, and now I am spoiled! The Casa Phoenix was so clean and comfortable, not to mention extremely convenient. Prior to our departure, the owners answered all my questions. Once we got there, the staff was very helpful and nice, answered all our questions and helped us arrange in-room massages... what luxury! The daily maid service was a very nice touch, and everything was maintained in spotless condition. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature, and the Caribbean is just waiting for you to step in. There were only 5 of us girls so we had oodles of space. We walked directly across the street for our groceries and cooked several wonderful meals in this most excellent and well-appointed kitchen. Several nights we walked a couple of blocks into town to eat, and one night did the Pirate Cruise, run by Cozumel Tours, which I would highly recommend. In the mornings, the included breakfast is generously proportioned, even for a bunch of Texans! We snorkeled right from the pier and saw a pretty nice selection of fish. Next time I will book a few guided snorkel trips to get out and see more, although we did see an octopus just off the beach at Paradise Beach down south. (Took a taxi to get down there). Our hubbies were jealous of our awesome adventure, and next time maybe we will bring them too!!! We hope to return to the lovely Casa Phoenix sometime soon.

Bill and Allison, everything you put on your website is so true. This trip was my daughters senior trip and i was really hoping her and her friend would have a trip of a lifetime to remember...and it happened. They fell in love with everyone at the condo. I need had to worry about them being at the pool alone. We had a wonderful balcony to sit and watch them. They were so happy to be close to everything...they were on stage at Margaritaville every night...the waiters there loved them. We really enjoyed watching them have so much fun....they are already wanting to go back. We met people from all over the US..made lots of new friends. The market across the street and a short walk to Carlos and Charlies..they loved it. Abraham was their favorite person at the condo..anyone wanting to have it all need to stay at El Canti, Casa Phoenix..it is first class. It really made my day when I heard the girls say "this was the best vacation we have ever been on". My kids have traveled alot and have stayed in wonderful places, but this was a very special one for my daughter, and you made it her best memories....thanks so much...we will be back, Becky B....Sulphur, Louisiana

Can't beat this condo located in the El Cantil towers. Our family has enjoyed Casa Phoenix 7 times over the recent years, it has become the ONLY place we'll stay when we visit Cozumel. As SCUBA divers, the amenities are second to none, a private pier is where you can be picked up each morning to be taken to world class reefs and walls. After diving, it's only steps to a large rinse tank and secure lockers nearby to hang your gear to drip dry. Another dozen or so steps to a fresh water forever pool is where you'll hang out and relive the day's dives. We choose El Cantil and Casa Phoenix not just for the ease of diving though, the location is what sets it apart from the others. Across the street is the Chedraui and the Mega (sort of like Wal-Mart and Kmart), so grabbing groceries is a breeze. A leisurely 10 minute walk into town and you're able to enjoy truly delicious restaurants at great prices. Many condo projects in Cozumel are so far south it will cost you $20 each way to and from a great dinner in San Miguel. (we would NEVER stay at an all-inclusive and eat there, the food in the city of San Miguel cannot be missed). Casa Phoenix is far enough from the city to avoid the bustle and the cruise crowds, but close enough to stroll in and out when you need to. A LARGE part of the benefit of staying here is you only have to pay a taxi driver ONCE, and that's just to get to the airport. Other than that, you never give those clowns a penny! The condo itself is very luxurious. Amazing sunset views, a balcony hot tub, gigantic showers and all-tile bathrooms. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you'll need, and the full-size washer and dryer make packing so much easier. For a guy like me, that likes cold/dry air when in the Caribbean, the 2 zone air conditioning is a must, and works well. Prima restaurant is located on the top of the north tower, and they provide the delicious room service if you don't want to go out. We're an adventurous family, and we love to try new things, but ever since we stumbled on Casa Phoenix nobody has wanted to look for anything else and risk the certain disappointment.

Another fabulous stay at Casa Phoenix. Great restaurant right next door with service at the pool/beach. Easy walk into town, close shopping and many wonderful restaurants. We tried a different one every night. Two grocery stores within a block-Love the new Mega.Management was helpful and the cleaning staff is meticulous. Thanks, Bill and Allison I am already looking at dates for next year.....

We just returned from a week in paradise and must say that Casa Phoenix is the most luxurious casa we have stayed in over the many years we have visited Cozumel. The service of the staff was excellent and the amineties of the condo left nothing lacking. Even Miss Dolly (tropical storm) could not dampen the experiences of the week. Our family will treasure this vacation together for many years to come.

Casa Phoenix is the cleanest place you will ever stay. The nice housekeepers arrive daily and see to your every need. It has flat screens, Dish Network, Sirius, a fully stocked kitchen (they even provide coffee) and more. A nice pool, great dock for pick-ups and a great balcony with hot tub and chairs. It is a great unit for socializing and centrally located. There is parking and extra storage. I highly recommend it. Casa Phoenix is a great way to spend the week. I highly suggest it as a site for a family reunion, or for 3 to 4 couples to keep the price down.

What a fabulous six weeks in Cozumel. We absolutely loved every minute at Casa Phoenix! A great deal of time was enjoyed by everyone on the balcony, drinking a cup of coffee in the morning or enjoying a nice glass of wine in the evening. It was the most beautiful view one could ever imagine. We so enjoyed watching the cruise ships come and go and the sunsets were fabulous! I would definitely say this is the best and most beautiful place to stay in Cozumel and the location is so convenient - close to downtown and directly across from the large grocery store. Casa Phoenix is absolutely beautiful and has all of the amenities of home, with a wonderfully equipped kitchen. With four beautiful bedrooms and four master baths, there is not one thing I would change. Bill and Allison are wonderful people to rent from and the little extras they provide add an extra touch to a wonderful vacation! Margaret, the maid, is a great person, very kind and trusting. Marc Anthony, the doorman, is also a very nice person and both are always so willing to help. I cannot recall the name of the guy who cleaned our balcony and hot tub, but he was so good and what a nice person. We appreciated all of them. Thanks again for everything - we will definitely return!
