Moclips 'Coast Inn' Just Steps from Beach, Very Clean Wi-Fi
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
The Coast Inn is a one bedroom cottage, completely remodeled and very very clean.
Cute cabin with three large old glass fishing floats build right into the wall. These add such charm, especially when the sun goes down. Sit on the deck and enjoy some wonderful sunsets over the ocean, after a long day playing on the beach. Coast Inn is a perfect romantic cabin for a couple, you can cook your own meal or hit one of the local restaurants, maybe do some gambling after dinner at Quinault Beach Casino, or my favorite is taking a walk on the beach and enjoying the sunset. New gas fireplace for ambiance . Tile and wood floors, all new windows, and bath/shower, comfortable queen size bed, along with a sofa bed in living room, beach theme interior, with games, cards, and lots of movies to enjoy, along with premium movie channels with direct TV. MLB Baseball package-Wi-Fi. I will try and make your stay as comfortable as possible, if you need any extra's or special surprises/requests for your loved one before you arrive, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.
Moclips is a place to relax and enjoy our beautiful Washington Ocean Beaches, unspoiled by tourist traps, but if you like that sort of thing its just a short drive to Ocean Shores where you will have plenty of 'tourist type' activities. (Bumper cars-horse back riding, moped rentals, gambling ect)
I will be more than happy to give you any local information of what you can do during your stay in Moclips, day trips, where to eat, services, local history.
Be aware of places with no or low reviews, take a look at the Coast Inn's reviews to read what other guests are saying about their stay.

Want to see where the forest meets the beach? (Palm trees are highly overated-you won't find ANY here!) Have you ever seen too many sand dollars to pick up? When the sun shines, it lights up all of the gold flecks in the sand so much you swear you should be able to pan for the gold. Want to stay in a place clean enough to eat off the floor? (lol) Rain or shine, this little bungalow is a great place for a retreat-it has everything you need whether you are there for a weekend or a week. The owner is SUPER nice & really strives to make sure your visit is a great place to stay and a place to make fond memories. The cabin is spacious with lots of windows & a partial view of the ocean waves. You can catch great sunsets inside or watch the storms blow over and stay nice & cozy with the gas fireplace & watch movies or play board games. Thanks again Mary, we will be back. Tell Nancy thanks for stopping by & talking with us also! We had a blast! Moclips is a great small community with friendly locals & large uncrowded beaches & we miss the white noise of the waves already. Remember, shhhhhh! it's a secret!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you! I love the line where the forest meets the beach, you described Moclips quite well! I am so glad you two had a good time, I was so worried because the weather changed the day before you were set to come down. Ahhh but being true ocean lovers like you two must be you made the best of it. So happy the clouds broke and you were able to catch a sunset. You two are the type of guests we hope to visit over and over again, I almost thought nobody stayed in the cabin it was left so clean. thank you!

My husband and I stayed at the Coast Inn for 2 nights....upon arriving the place was cute, cozy and above all immaculate!!!! The owner had a great basket of snacks for us and decorated the place with happy birthday sign! We have rented several times through VRBO and this was the best. Located right by the ocean which lulled us to sleep at night. The owner is outstanding, to say the least!!!! Extremely helpful, and giving...and a beautiful person........making sure our stay was the best and IT WAS! We are definietly going to be returning and our already in the process to make it happen. You will not be disappointed. PS THe ownerRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Ahhh what a sweet review, thank you so much! I do hope you come back again! Anniversary maybe? giggle. You two were great guests and to say the best you rented on VRBO really made me feel good, There are so many choices out there to stay, and although my place is not a huge home I try and make it comfortable and inviting for each of my guests. I'm glad I was successful for you :-) Hope to see you soon!

Clean, clean, clean. Needing a beach fix, we rented this little cottage just days before our trip. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door! Just steps from the beach, ocean view, and all the amenities one needs for a weekend getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked, the shower was awesome, and the living room has comfortable seating and is very cozy with the little gas log stove in the corner. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We cracked the bedroom windows so we could hear the pounding of the surf and slept like babies both nights of our stay. Mary trusted us until the next morning to pay up and complete the contract as we had a late arrival on Friday night. She lives right across the street so we knew she was there if we had any questions or concerns. The little town of Moclips is charming and retro in all the right ways. We drove over to Ocean Shores for lunch at Bennet's and then headed down to the beach for an afternoon of kite flying and collecting sand dollars. Saturday night, we returned to the cottage to enjoy some wine and made a pizza...just taking time to chill and relax. Just a great few days away to one of our favorite places on the Pen. Can't beat the beach and taking long walks in the mist next to the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Thanks, Mary, for all your hospitality. It really shows in your attention to detail and how nice you make everything!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for this review, you gave some good tips for other guests about the area and the Coast Inn. So happy you enjoyed Moclips, it really is a special little place to enjoy some relaxing time while enjoying being by the ocean. Hopefully we will see you again, once you get sand in your toes it becomes addicting :-) Again thank you for such a nice review and for being such sweet guests

Mary is always so thoughtful and helpful and the locals are always friendly. The weather was mostly rain on this trip but we still enjoyed our vacation away from the midwest. Mary is quite possibly the friendliest person I have ever rented a cabin from. She went above and beyond to make sure my stay at the cabin was pleasant. The cabin was exceptionally clean and very quiet. It was also a great location, just a quick walk to the beach. Just what I needed for a week away from it all.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this cute cabin for 2 days and we really enjoyed everything here. It is super clean, comfortable and well decorated with the ocean tones. We find all nencessary amenities in this little cabin and it's just several steps to the beach. But one thing I wanna remind travelers to do is to bring you own grocery because you can cook gourmet food here and cannot buy or find delicious food nearby. We will come here again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review on your stay. I'm so glad you liked my place and that you both had a nice stay. I'm also glad I had everything you needed to cook a wonderful dinner. I still could smell it after you left. :-) How lucky you two were with the weather, in the city it was all fogged up yet on the beach we had although cold, beautiful sunny weather. Sure made for some pretty sunsets. Ordered just for your birthday celebration. Thank you again and hope to see you two again

We had the most wonderful time on our stay. The cottage was beyond clean. You will never find a cleaner place to stay! Such a cozy and warm place. Thank you Mary, for all your special touches and the referral for dining options. You were right, the best fries and excellent fish and chips! The beach was great and we pretty much had it to ourselves. It was fun searching for sand dollars and enjoying the sunset. Everything that one could ever need, the house has, even a closet stocked with board games. It quickly became our favorite place and there is no doubt that we would like to return once again, in the future. T & MRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review, and for mentioning how clean the Coast Inn is. I'm not sure how you two ordered the beautiful weather during your stay, but I wish you would share your secret. ha ha You two are such a great couple, I love it when guests enjoy the beach and area so much. You took care of my place just as if it was your own, a home owner couldn't ask for better! I really hope we see you again, I'll have to give you another tour of the new house so you can see its progress:-)

As soon as we walked in the door we could feel the warmth and comfortable atmosphere. It was so clean and decorated perfectly to ensure that we felt incredibly welcome. Everything, down to the little things that Mary provided to enhance our stay, was beyond our expectations. The snacks on the dining room table, the welcome note that gave us the best dining in the area and my personal favorite...the sand dollar ornament, made this the most memorable getaway from the hustle & bustle of the city that we face every day. The beach was exceptional this time of year, the Rain Forest & Lake Quinault breathtaking and the Eagles along the river indcredible. The only problem we found with our stay was that is just wasn't long enough.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for writing a wonderful review. I'm so happy you two enjoyed my cabin, Moclips and the area. The gift to me was that you left the place so clean! I had to wonder if you really did stay there :-) I sure hope you return again and again. Thank you again!

Property was impeccably clean and well maintained. Owner is very responsive and provided excellent personalized guidance on activities and restaurants. Owner shows attention to detail and provides fabulous customer service. Thoughtful care went into providing for anything we might need. We would highly recommend this property to friends. It's a great place for a get-away and the beach walks are wonderful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review, I just wished I could of met you live. My neighbor Nancy said you two were such a nice couple, but I knew that instantly dealing with you on the booking process. When I went down to clean the cabin I had to wonder if you even stayed in it, it was left in such good condition! I always rewash the silverware and make sure the bottoms of my pots and pans are clean, you are the first couple that everything was left perfect! Then to top it off you wrote a review! I also loved the note left in my guest book. I hope you two can find time to come back again, I really enjoyed the pictures you sent of your stay. Thank You so much for being PERFECT guests. Mary

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: We are baby boomers. Raised in Tacoma, and married for 30+ years, we love the outdoors, and traveling to explore new area's.
Why the Owner Chose Moclips:
I fell in love with Moclips 15 years ago when we would visit friends who had a weekend place. We soon had to have our own 'piece of the pie' and bought our very first vacation home. The Coast Inn used to be our weekend place until we purchased another, I then only used it as a guest cabin for family and friends, but now that I'm retired, we had it completely remodeled, and decided to put it in the nightly rental pool.
The first time we visited Moclips 15 years ago we rented a cabin for $100, by 2am both my husband and I left like bandits in the night because it was just too dirty for us. I told him I would never rent a place unseen again, so we bought a motor home where I knew I would have a clean place to lay my head. Shortly after, we noticed a place for sale and now are Moclips 'weekenders', with a new home being built on another lot we own. I fell in love with Moclips and I know you will too. Its Washington's best kept secret.
You will find the Coast Inn very clean and fresh, I pride myself on that fact. My goal is to hear my guests say 'this is the cleanest place I have ever stayed'
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
No where else have I been where I can walk a beach and most the time have it all to myself. Homes are closer to the Ocean than any other area on the Washington North Coast, Moclips is the first Privately owned beach front property on Washington's Coast. Anything North is either State Land or Native American.
Rich in history, colorful locals, unspoiled beaches, fantastic sunsets, great shelling, and clam digging are just some of the reasons Moclips is so special.
