Welcome to Camp Terrapin. Built in 2004, our Victorian-style Beach Cottage has all the charm of a by-gone era. From the wrap-around porch (screened on the side) to the rear sundeck, you'll find a wonderful space to kick back and relax. Professionally decorated and furnished with your comfort and enjoyment in mind.
The furnishings are white-washed wicker and wood with a charming beach-themed motif in a blue, white and yellow color scheme. Comfortably sleeps 16 in bedrooms (no sleeper sofas) with two King master suites (one on the main level), one Queen with additional twin ensuite, one Full, and a bunk room (sleeps seven). All beds are covered with patchwork quilts.
Four bathrooms plus an outside shower mean no one has to wait in line. And two on-demand water heaters mean no one takes a cold shower. Two-zoned heating and air conditioning plus ceiling fans for perfect temperature control. The dining table seats 12, with room for two at the breakfast bar. The spacious Great Room boasts a large dining area and two seating areas, all open to the fully-equipped kitchen.
Located in the quiet community of Turtle Walk, this home is ten blocks from the Beach (off RT 26, Garfield Pkwy next to Bethany West)and rents with 2 beach parking passes (free street parking for beach access - no need to use metered parking). In July and August, there is a trolley to shuttle vacationers to the Beach at a cost of 25 cents. The trolley runs twice/hour from 9:30 AM to 10 PM.
There's plenty of off-street parking for six cars at Camp Terrapin. You'll want to return to this sun-filled Bethany Beach Victorian retreat year after year. Brand New in 2004! No Smoking, No Pets, Please! Call or email for off-season availability and holidays.
Property rents Saturday to Saturday. Please check the Availability Calendar before contacting me with a request. The calendar is updated with each booking. Ther are prime summer weeks remaining, but you'd better hurry! We do not rent to 'Beach Week' groups. The responsible adult who signs the lease (over the age of 25) must be in residence for the entire vacation. September weekends are glorious!! Off season rates make this large home perfect for a retreat, scrapbooking clubs, family reunions, golf outings,and more.

What a lovely home! We had a gret time - sorry to leave today. Beach is beautiful! Family met up with us for weekend. Fun for all! We went fishing with Captain Bob and Captain Trpy of the El Shadai and caught many black sea bass, a couple of sharks, and a stingray! What a great fishing day! Dear Cindy, We had a wonderful weekend in your home. We are celebrating our oldest daughter's high school graduation along with our "adopted" neighbor daughter who also graduated high school. We brought along our middle daughter and son as well. The weather got warmer as the days went by and today is the warmest day yet and we are leaving : ( The food was great all week at the restaurants. We had many laughs and videos and pictures. uncle Brad almost got hit by the ad boat and the lifeguard had to call him in with his whistle, We cheered for the lifeguard! We are used to having more near misses when on vacation, well pretty much anywhere. We don't want to leave. We would like to stay longer. I'm sure we will be back soon. Dear Homeowners, We just rented your home to celebrate a dear friend's birthday weekend on what would normally be a very somber and sobering day -9/11! There were 14 of us ranging in age from 25-76 and we had an amazing time! The home is lovely with a warm & innviting decor - all necessary amenities. Beach passes for parking were an added bonus! Dear Aunt K, We loved the loose atmosphere of this Turtle Community. We had the whole gang inside and let it all loose! The Rusty Rudder's prolific buffet proved bountiful and crab-tastic. We had a wonderful family vacation with my husband's 2 sisters and their families. Weather was great, very hot all week. We went to Rehoboth Boardwalk, outlets shopping, Harpoon Hannah's in Ocean City for dinner. Also to downtown Bethany and shopped. Beach everyday. Our family had a wonderful time here in Bethany beach. The home was perfect for our entire family - Grandparents, 2 sons and their wives, 7 children and 1 baby. Many card games were played on the screened in porch and all cousin bunk room was an absolute hit (for kids and adults) We loved the family-centered life you provided with the home. I brought my 3 grown sons alonf with their wives and my four grandchildren ages 5,4,3 & 2. They had a great time in this beautiful house. About the owner: Cindy and Bob Moses live in Potomac, MD and grew up in the DC area. Cindy is a Real Estate Broker for Keller Williams Metro Realty and Bob is an attorney who specializes in Real Estate and Business Law. Between us, we have 5 siblings, 10 nieces and nephews, and 5 cats. We both grew up spending summer vacations in Bethany Beach (Cindy) and Ocean City, MD (Bob), so Bethany Beach is truly our second home.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Turtle Walk:
My family has vacationed in Bethany Beach every summer for over 40 years. As the family grew, it became increasingly more difficult to rent a house to accommodate everyone at an affordable price. We decided to build one and discovered that many groups of friends and families had similar needs - where everyone could stay under one roof, instead of renting multiple small houses. So many of my friends tell the that their kids don't want to vacation with them anymore! I feel lucky that my entire family looks forward to our Bethany Beach vacation every summer.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
There is lots of space for everyone, with generous bedroom sizes and lots of bathrooms. We even installed on-demand water heaters so no one would ever have to take a cold shower. The wrap-around porch is especially popular with my family as there always seems to be a lovely breeze blowing across it. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate several cooks at once. The kids love the bunk room that sleeps 7 and has its own bath. We have off-street parking for 8 cars and the rental includes 2 beach parking passes. I love the quiet neighborhood, yet so close to the beach.
