Beautiful Budget-Friendly Villa Just Yards from Beach

  Our stay in Villa 6 in July 2012 was excellent; the location was quiet and very close to the beach. Sam was very helpful with restaurant recommendations (Palm's Delight was very good) and responded quickly when we had questions. There were plenty of beach towels, which was very helpful, since we did five days of diving while we were there. The kitchen was well-stocked with more plates, utensils, etc. than we could ever use. We mostly ate in, and between the stove, grill, and toaster oven we were able to do what we needed to do. As far as nearby activities, Palm's Delight was very good-we ate dinner there twice. My son (18 years old) said it was the best fried chicken he has eaten in his life. We also ate lunch at Quito's when we were out exploring the island (the jerk chicken was good). We would definitely stay there again and I would recommend it to friends.

  My husband and I wanted to get away from it all and found the perfect spot at this villa in Tortola. It was even better than the pictures depict. You walk in the front door and the view of the gorgeous ocean with islands in the distance is all you see! The home had everything anyone could need. The beds are comfortable. The living room (for all we used it) was great and the deck was the perfect spot for afternoon margaritas. We spent our time snorkling at Smugglers Cove and Brewers Bay and just hanging around the beach at Long Bay and Cane Garden Bay. We ordered our groceries to arrive beforehand (thanks Sam) and all we had to do was relax and enjoy our island vacation. We will be coming back to Tortola soon!

  We just returned from vacation to this property (Late May 2012), & it is absolutely breathtaking! The views from every room are equally beautiful & the sunsets from the deck are spectacular. We've traveled to multiple places throughout the Caribbean, but this was by far the most beautiful. Sam was a huge help in arrranging provisions & car rental & everything was in order when we arrived (although the ferries are less than reliable). The walk to the beach is an easy walk down...but keep in mind it a steep climb back up! We certainly hope to return, and I will absolutely recommend this place to others!

  My wife and I have visited Tortola before and we loved it so much we felt compelled to share it with another couple. This time around we decided to lodge in a villa using VRBO. Villa 6 at the Belmont Estates was the one we chose and I have to say it was the perfect place! The rooms were spacious and each had an amazing view of the ocean (watching the sunset is a must). The kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils we needed to make an ideal meal. Although the villa is not directly on the beach, you can walk a few minutes to one of the most secluded and beautiful beaches on the island. The host who helped us with the booking was very accommodating and she met our every need. If you decide to lay your head down in a one of the best spots on Tortola then Villa 6 at the Belmont Estates is the perfect place for you.

  My wife, my son and me enjoyed our vacation many times in the beautiful Villa 6. It is located on the north western part of Tortola in the scenic Belmont Estate area above Long Bay Beach (5 minutes walk away) and Smugglers Cove (a few minutes drive away). Within a 10 minutes walk you reach the Long Bay Resort offering a beautiful beachfront deck restaurant and many other amenities. It is only a few minutes drive to Sebastian's On The Beach with its beautiful seaside restaurant. The listing description of the villa location is very accurate. The photos of the description reflect very well the interior and exterior of the villa. But some additional aspects could be interesting: The kitchen is very well equipped. That is why we cooked our meals rather often at the villa. The villa has very nice bedrooms.(comfortable beds with nice linens and great pillows). The villa is clean (cleaned twice weekly) and very well maintained. The amenities such as cable TV and WiFi keep you connected to the world. The distance between the adjacent villas is rather short. But we always had quiet days and nights during our vacation in Villa 6 (mostly in August, only one stay in November 2009 and June 2011). J. C. and Sam manage the villa perfectly. What always fascinated us, is the successful integration of the villa into the environment of Belmont Estate with its tropical plants. We also like the mediterranean design and the tasteful interior of the villa.The absolute highlight however is the gorgeous view from the villa deck on Belmont Palm Grove in front of the villa and on Jost Van Dyke in the distance. The sunsets are breathtaking. The beautiful beach of Smugglers Cove invites you for swimming and snorkeling. It is certainly very useful to rent a jeep, not only to ride on the bumpy road to Smugglers Cove, but also to reach all the other nice beaches of the island, the Sage Mountain for hiking, the ferries for day trips to the beautiful surrounding islands (for example Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Peter Island, Anegada) and restaurants with Caribbean music at night. We would highly recommend Villa 6 for vacation in the Caribbean.

  I stayed at this villa for 3 weeks in the summer (low season). It is ideally located a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Long Bay Beach and 15 minute walk from the Long Bay Resort offering a restaurant and bathroom facilities on the beach. (The walk involves one fairly short, but steep hill, but I am 55, overweight, arthritic and have a ruptured disc requiring me to use a cane, and I made the walk...I spent the entire time there without a vehicle...though on week 3, that hill was starting to get to me.) It is also a 25 minute (shady and relatively flat) walk from Smuggler's Cove which has some of the best snorkeling on the island and has very calm waters. You can purchase drinks, food and water sports equipment rentals at SC and there are free lounge chairs, but only porta potties. (Plenty of parking there and it's only a 5 minute drive from th villa). The view from the villa deck is absolutely amazing. You look out over a coconut grove to see truly turquoise waters and the islands beyond. I could spend eternity on that deck and be very happy. The villa is comfortably appointed for an island villa. It is older and shows it, but is kept in good condition and cleaned twice weekly. The kitchen and linen closets are well stocked. There are no window coverings, but the villa is situated for privacy. The villas are very close together, so you would be dependent on the good behavior of the other villa occupants for peace and quiet...but with A/C in the bedrooms, you can at least close the windows and doors to shut out any noise. (During low season, the villa next door was only occupied for one week and they were very considerate so we always had quiet evenings.) The vibe of this place reminded me very much of an old fashioned beach cottage: nothing fancy, everything practical and designed for minimal upkeep for relaxed, easy living. If you want a spectacular view, a location away from the crowds (but only a short drive from shopping and dining), and you don't mind some signs of wear, this is the place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat...I can't imagine a better situated place to stay. The TV (flat screen) and WiFi worked very well. Very nice fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, blender...no dishwasher. Not recommended for the very elderly or infirm as there are fairly steep steps with no railings between the living room and kitchen.
