This small cozy beach house is ideally suited for couples and small families seeking close proximity to beach and expansive views across ocean and coastline. The house has 2 small bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds) and a relatively large newly renovated living room with a fire place and full windows facing the ocean. There is a twin size daybed in the back part of the living room. The kitchen is large and very well equipped.
The house is about a 2-3 minute walk to the beach but high enough above the water enough for panoramic views and to be a bit out of the wind. The beach that defines Manzanita is 5 miles long and accessible both at low and high tide. Enjoy leisurely walks during the day or as the sun sets over the Pacific. Relax on the deck in the sun while reading a good book; or exercise with long runs on the beach, surf the waves, or build fires on the beach at night.
Nearby activities include golf on the public course in Manzanita (par 36 9-holes and inexpensive with club rental available), tennis at the town courts, biking or kayaking in Nehalem Bay (about 3 miles away). Excellent hiking is very close by and mushroom hunting is a favorite fall activity.
The house is less than a mile from the town of Manzanita that has 2 well stocked grocery stores, cute shops, a few restaurants, public tennis courts and places to rent beach equipment and bikes. Manzanita is about a 15 minute drive to Cannon Beach, a well know artist community and is surrounded by state parks.
In addition to serving as a base for beach activities, this house is a cozy shelter and good for storm watching during rainy days and just generally a refuge from the stress of the daily life.
Keywords: A rustic small house with a unique location overlooking the ocean, beach and coastline. It is located in a quiet area, but only a very short walk (2-3 minutes) down a gentle path to the beach. Shopping and restaurants are a mere 15 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride away in the Center of Manzanita.
The house features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a well-equipped large kitchen and a large living/dining room with picture windows facing the ocean, as well as a beautiful new deck off the kitchen to enjoy an expansive ocean view during the morning sun until it sets just outside Neahkahnie mountain at night.
The bedrooms can accommodate 4 persons, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. There is a sofabed in the living room for an additional occupant. The house has cable TV, DVD and WiFi - internet service.

Nice view and great beach access. This is a great place to spend time in Manzanita. Kitchen is well equipped and the appliances were great. This is a good house for one couple or family. A wonderful spot on planet earth. This is a great little cabin in a nice location. Perfect for two, Ok for a family up to 4. A bit frozen in time in the 70's Orange era, but that is what makes it very charming. You can tell there has been a lot of love given to it by the owners.Did you find this review helpful? This house suited our needs perfectly. Quiet and cozy, a nice outlook on the ocean, a tidy kitchen where we could prepare our meals, and a friendly reception at the start and end of our visit from the OceanEdge team.
