  Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Love Hawaii, Love the Kihei Surfside! We have stayed here many times in the past. The condos are not fancy, but the property is perfect because you have the immaculately manicured lawn with the reef below on the point, and just steps away is the sandy beach where you can walk for miles along Wailea shores. We are already planning our next vacation at the Kihei Surfside.

  Rating Details: I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was clean. The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view in this unit is spectacular, however the unit is not worth the money it costs to stay here. I have contacted the managment company many times and I am not satisfied with the results. The sliding windows are very difficult to open and close, the kitchen is poorly equipped, furnishings are old. When I opened the sofa bed and looked at the mattress pad it was disgusting. After a one week wait, a new pad was installed, then when I went to use the sheet they two were totally disgusting. I had to buy glasses and some kitchen utensil. No matching cups, glasses, poor kitchen equipment. The bathroom rug was so old the backing was falling off and it was dangerous to step on for fear of sliding. The chairs are not comfortable. I wish I had not rented this unit. Manager responded on 2/18/2013: We're so sorry you feel this way. We went out of our way to appease your multiple requests for improvements and bought many items at your request including a 12" skillet when the 10" one provided was not large enough for you. The rates charged are in line with other oceanfront condos during high season. Respectfully, Hawaii Holiday Management

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent location and accommodations. If we go back to Maui, we will definitely be looking into the Surfside. We will and already have recommended the Surfside to others. There were a few small issues like the toaster, sticky patio doors and windows, not enough bbq utensils. But the the overall experience was absolutely wonderfull.

  Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Detractions from our satisfaction were with the building, such as a lack of air conditioning required the bedroom windows be left open at night to parking lot noise. The property's general condition was good, loved the floors and the kitchen appliances. The location was great,the view was wonderful, loved the two minute walk to the beach. The property was very clean, the management company responded promptly one night when the push button outside door lock failed us. I would recommend the property to a friend but I would share the following information: I did wish for a 10 inch frying pan and a toaster which I did not have to turn upside down and shake to get the toast out. We did not find the furniture on the outside lanai, neither the chairs nor the table, to be comfortable for relaxing or usable to for eating a meal.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We keep coming back to the Surfside for the outstanding location, view, and hospitality. It is on the north end of a three mile beautiful ocean walking trail, and has an open green area that is a perfect daytime play or lounging area. We are so happy to be able to stay here year after year at very affordable rates.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our condo was very satisfactory, however, my daughter and husband stayed in a condo that was very dirty - not updated at all. They have said they will never go back to Surfside. We would like for our family to join us there sometime. How can we be guaranteed we get condos that are updated and CLEAN? when we make a reservation? The grounds and location are wonderful, but obviously the condo conditions vary quite a bit. Is there a way to be guaranteed you can get an updated and clean condo when placing a reservation?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hawaii Holidays people and service were wonderful. We love the Kihei Surfside property and location but the unit #513 is not our first choice as to location on the property. Our total stay was great so the following comments are not ment to degrade that in any way. The electral problem in the outlet the floor lamp is pluged into should be fixed and the lamp by the TV, though not usable in that location needs fixing. Also that bedspread looks filthy. The table and chairs on the patio are not the best for eating and relaxing. When eating there you have a real problem. Try it and you will see what we mean. Again, these were not issues that did anything to take away our enjoyment there. We loved being there. We had our Honeymoon in Hawaii 40 years ago and have been back probably about 35 times since. Your company personel are wonderful. Thank you! Manager responded on 2/18/2012: Mahalo for your review! Based on your information, we will get the lamp and bedspread issues dealt with immediatley! Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at the Kihei Surfside many times over the past 25 years. This unit was in below average condition. The furniture was cheap. The kitchen was poorly equipted. The closets were crammed full of lines so there was little room to unpack. I do not recommend this unit.
