We had an amazing ladies' weekend here for my bachelorette party! It was a perfect set up for a large group! The pool has a great layout for relaxation but socializing at the same time! Two kitchens are a bonus for prepping a big meal. The little rooftop enclaves are fantastic additional escapes to enjoy the nightime view! I could go on and on, but everything you need for a get-a-way is here. Friends, multiple families...this is the place for anyone who visits! Ruby was just fantastic to work with and was a perfect host!!! We will definitely be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

It's hard not to gush about every aspect of Casa Redonda. But the truth is, it really is a perfect as it looks. From the manicured garden to the bright and useful kitchen; The cozy and roomy bedrooms to the sun porch atop the towers; the big bedrooms to the private patios. Redonda is a true gem. We have now stayed at Redonda twice in 6 months! First was for our wedding the second trip was with a group of 9. What we loved about the group vacation: Even with 9 people sleeping, eating, sunning and drinking we NEVER felt like we were crowded. There is enough space to lounge and relax at Redonda. The pool is warm and the sunning areas are private. There are two back patios that connect to two queen sized bedrooms - such a treat when you are staying with friends who rise early :) The Kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for home cooking. The private toilet areas were nice to have. The shared shower is adorable and all the bathrooms have plenty of towels (even a hairdryer!). Each bedroom has a big closet, ample windows and air flow, cozy bed and TV. The Shared living space is inviting and opens the pool area. There are games and DVD’s to play and watch. Each room has it’s own Ipod doc station. The house is dog and kid friendly. There is a gas BBQ and super cool Gas Fireplace. There are ample bach and bath towls, extra sheets as well. The Casita is a bonus! You can sleep an extra two people or use it as the pool house during the day! What we loved about our wedding: We were able to host an 80 person wedding with such ease. The kitchens were able to accommodate our catering & bar staff. The grounds were in amazing condition. Ruby even scheduled a pool cleaning the day of our wedding! The kitchen is equipped with nearly everything you need to cook at home. Ruby was so helpful in the planning. She answered all my questions with grace and kindness. She was even kind enough to help connect me with local catering help. She made the chaotic preparation easy and fun! Casa Redonda will be the go-to place for every visit to Palm Springs! Casa Redonda can stand on it’s own, but what makes it super special is Ruby. Her hospitality and love for this house is unmatched! The house is centrally located to the downtown area. A car rental is not necessary to get to and from the galleries, bars, restaurants and shops. Our favorites are: Cheeky’s, Birba, Copley's, Tropical, & Koffi . Really ask Ruby. She knows all the great places in the Downtown.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

What a great place!! There were 4 couples and it worked perfectly. Each couple had their own private bedroom ( 2 opening to pool and 2 opening to private patios ), and bathrooms. The outdoor area has a great dining table next to a wet bar. We BBQ'ed most nights and other nights we walked to the great restaurants downtown and had dinner on the outdoor patios. Movie nights in the Casita was really fun too. We will be back soon for sure!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My friends and I came into town on motorcycles. We arrived a little later than we had expected, arriving after sundown. We were tired and sore. When we opened the main gate and entered the foyer that separates the two units we were pleasantly surprised to find an inviting patio complete with pool. I've traveled more than most, and stayed in buildings old and new. The hard part about restoring an older home is to retain the original feel and warmth of the original construction while upgrading the functionality to meet the need of the modern. This home achieves that objective uniquely! The original fixtures have been replaced or refurbished to look and perform like new. Every part of the home, from the landscaping, to the windows, to the floor tile, to the kitchen sink, looks like it did in 1940. The neighborhood is quiet, and the rooms are quiet, as one would hope. The pool is situated between the two separate living areas, an arrangement that allows travelers to enjoy shared time by the patio. On the other hand, if one wants privacy they can retire to the privacy of their apartment. We enjoyed a great breakfast at a nearby restaurant, and ribs at another restaurant. Both within walking distance. Happily, there is a mini-mart with limited food choices and multiple alcohol choices also within walking distance. I've already referred my friends to Casa Redonda, and I'm looking forward to another motorcycle ride-in with my wife. What's better than a pool in the desert?Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My fiancé and I stayed at this gorgeous and unique property as an early Winter getaway and are eager to return. The accommodations were truly first class and the owner's attention to detail was obvious. From what appears to be a painstaking restoration of the property to the thoughtful updates of the appliances and amenities we couldn't have asked for a better residence for the week. The property was clean and well maintained and everything was in order for our arrival. We felt like we were movie stars from the golden age of Hollywood in this luxurious home. I have and will continue to recommend this property to my friends and colleagues who are looking for a unique getaway to historic and beautiful Palm Springs.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family had a wonderful time here at the hacienda during a week-long gathering. As my young nephew said, "it's like you live in your own town, only it's a resort." The owner put a lot of love into restoring this property with an eye toward preserving the historical feel of the hacienda (the rooms reflect the smaller scale of the period), while modernizing it so that everyone has a comfortable, relaxed experience (she is very talented and achieved just the right balance). It worked out well for my two brothers and sisters-in-law to have a wing, with their own kitchen, and my parents to be on the other side with my uncle. (Each side shares a bathroom, which worked fine for our group.) Another brother stayed in the casita with a couple of nephews. There were plenty of places to find some quiet, private, down-time on the property as well - little patios, and the nice open terraces up a flight of steps. We had more family members staying in another house in the area, and more at nearby hotels, and we gathered everyone for informal poolside dinner a couple of times at the hacienda. The weekly rate is very fair given its location - the house is on the edge of Old Las Palmas - on one side, you are near the commercial main drag, but if you walk in the other direction, you are in the charming, swanky "real Palm Springs." We would definitely return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Two couples, four kids and a mother in law spent four wonderful days in this home and pool. It is not the most luxurious home in the area, but it is architecturally pleasing and well decorated in staying with the 1937 theme. The beds and linens were very nice and plentiful, the bathrooms were original (like), but despite this looked brand new and leave no room for complaints. The AC worked pretty well in the right half of the house, but not so well in the left which made it hard for some of us to sleep well (it was very hot out those four days), and the rear bedroom on that side has no AC vent. The kitchens were adequately outfitted, but few basics existed. Even the most rudimentary spices were lacking, and the available blenders and other gadgets were not fit to for example make margaritas, so bringing your own equipment would be safer. The electric lighting was adequate in most rooms, but dim for reading or playing a board game at night. There were some wonderful books on the shelves - many old or collectible like in staying with the 1937 theme. The detached unit is great looking, and furnished nicely, but even late in the evening with the fan going, it was unusable due to the heat - in more mild weather it would have been a pleasure to watch movies there and for an additional guest or two, there's no chance we could have slept there in the heat... Adding AC to this unit would be a wise decision. The sleeping porches were historically romantic- sitting there at night was enjoyable and I could imagine what it was like in this home without AC, dragging a mattress and sheet up there for a less stifling night of rest... The pool is wonderful and frankly, that is where we spent the majority of our time. Our host was perfect in touring the house, meeting us timely and despite being located next door at her hotel, was completely unobtrusive. It was a terrific stay, and we would gladly return, but perhaps not on the hottest of weekends due to the issues noted above.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

I love this place, it is a treasure, can't say enough about it, really. The property resembles more of a tropical resort than a house. Four couples can easily enjoy their own rooms with privacy, space and comfort. The rooms are unique, charming, the grounds are beautifully maintained and all the fixtures have an eccentric allure you're not going to be able to find anywhere else. Classic yet very bohemian, the feel is very laid back, especially with how enticing it is to lay poolside for your entire stay. Everything is clean, tidy, contemporary and great for relaxing with friends and family. There are two modern kitchens, two living rooms, televisions in each bedroom, a casita out in the back to watch films on the flat screen on a big comfy couch. The entire place is so warm and inviting, if I could live here forever, I would... and for the price they're asking, I say get it while you can. The value is unmatched, $325 for 4 bedrooms? Paradise.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We never imagined what we had in store for us at this Beautifully restored 1937 Spanish Hacienda! As you walk thru the Grand Entrance with impeccable Landscape and a Gorgeous Gate you were greeted by a Spectacular Pool (Common Area) fully furnished with Lounge Chairs, Tables, and 2 outdoor Fireplaces! This is 2 Separate Homes all behind one gate. (perfect for 2 separate families, or a large group of friends!) Every single piece of art and furniture will leave you mesmerized by it's beauty. Everything was well stocked and we really felt welcome at this Hacienda:) We would also like to mention that there is a Special TV Room (Casita) that has a great TV and lots of Movies, as well as a bathroom and you will enjoy hours of family time! This place is wonderful! Two fantastic homes, a beautiful pool, rooftop decks and a view of the tram. Perfect location - a short walk to the design district and all the best restaurants in town, situated in the neighbor all of old Hollywood lived in - around the corner from Liberace and down the hill from Elvis...what more could you want or need? Everything about this place is special - the decor, the lighting, the landscaping, the careful restoration. We were blown away when we pulled up and momentarily worried we had the wrong address but really hopeful this was our destination. All we could say was "Wow!", the VRBO pictures just don't do the property justice. We plan on returning again and again. Thank you to the owner for restoring this once hidden gem.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
