If you have a larger crowd there is also a nice motel right across the lake offering reasonable rates and can be accessed using the included rowboats in only a couple of minutes.
Loon Lake is approximately three miles long and offers smooth waters for skiing and tubing as well as good fishing for small and large bass, pike, sunfish and perch. The water gets comfortably warm in the summer months.
