  The place is located right by the lake. We swam, had bonfires, grilled, and lounged around. The place was kept neat and clean. Had all the things that was expected of. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone seeking a vacation rental near Lake Martin.

  This is one of my favorite places to vacation. I've been to this camp several times and it is clean, comfortable and the slip of water in front is perfect for the children to swim in. The tree covered, outside deck is perfect for relaxing, barbequing and watching the family of ducks that visit the spot daily.

  My family has stayed at this quaint lake cabin each summer the last three years and my children LOVE the place. We've gone for a week a few times and then just weekend getaways. Only a little over an hour from Birmingham you can be in the great outdoors quickly! This property is ideally situated on the best part of the lake, and we found much to do and explore, the home is sparkling clean and continually updated. Relaxing atmosphere and great no fuss owners. Bargain priced and worth every penny, we will certainly be back next summer unless we can sneak in another trip this fall :)

  This cabin did not meet our expectations at all and regrettably this is the first negative review I've ever had to write. We were able to dismiss the "wear and tear" of the place, the misleading listing, due to the fact we only rented the cabin for the evenings/beds. We came to Lake Martin for a family reunion. Unfortunately parts of our family had to find other accommodations due to ants (in beds, bathrooms and then in our belongings). Our cars also were "covered" in and out with ants so severely I had to pay to get it sprayed 5 days after returning home. It was a serious problem. My frustration comes, not so much with the inconvenience of the ants (kids freaking out, finding other accommodations) but that the owners did not compensate us for our troubles, did not even reply to my last request for what was less than half off a night. I can't imagine anyone not finding that fair and just the right thing to do. Out of payment for 3 nights with tax & cleaning fee they offered about a 10% refund..... VERY disappointing.

  We stayed here with a youth retreat. The home was very nice with lots of room for sleeping arrangements. The pier area was great for swimming. There was a boat rental around the corner and we played all day on the boat. We cooked out and everything we needed was right there. Older home, but not without comforts of home!

  We loved staying here. It was very peaceful and quiet even on the 4th of July. The water is clear and was a perfect place for our kids to swim and play. Having a place to dock our boat was very convenient and it was just a short ride on the boat to the Marina and to eat. There is plenty of room as even with six people in our family, we had one bedroom we didn't even use. It is in a very secluded spot with a beautiful creek and bridge beside the house. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, this is it!
