Start your family vacation memories here! 'Dragon Fly' home has the perfect lakeside living. Nature at it's best with a boat house and deck, paddle boat, 2-kayaks (single), swimming ladder and a clear, clean lake of Bald Mountian. Your family will love the 3 bedrooms, plus loft, 3.5 bath home. Two of bedrooms are located on the main living level, each with their own baths. There is 1- king bed and 1- queen bed. The great room invites you to relax in front of the fireplace and snuggle up with a good book or watch TV. Open the sliding glass doors of the great room and you have the perfect setting with a wonderful screened enclosed porch. The open floor plan of the dining, kitchen, great room and back porch makes it easy to entertain for your friends and family. Off the kitchen is a large deck with chairs/table, lounge chairs and a gas grill. You can escape to the loft area were you will find wonderful views of the lake, a pull out double bed, chair and table. We have board games for the kids. Located in the basement area is the second great room with plenty of room for the whole family. There is a TV ,Wii game (Must be rented separtly $100.00 refundable deposit), and card table. The third bedroom is located right off the great room. This bedroom has 2 twin beds and a full bath.
This home is located behind the gates of Rumbling Bald Resort which is within short walking distance to all the amenities of resort.
Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC are both with in a one hours drive. Charlotte, NC is approximatley 2 hours.
**No Motorcycles are allowed in the resort.
**NO PETS NO SMOKING
**Must be 25 years old to rent
**No Fishing License is required on Bald Mountain Lake

My husband recently retired and we wanted to start our new life doing something special. Beautiful, comfortable with everything you could ever want in a vacation home is what we found relaxing on Bald Mountain Lake. The home is beautifully decorated and the kitchen was well stocked with everything a person would need. It was early Spring and the flowers were in bloom! We enjoyed the fitness center with the pool, sauna and steam bath everyday, walked the trails and spent time on the lake. We definitely look forward to another visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The house is amazing!! We loved the view of the lake and being surrounded by trees and mountains. We enjoyed the pools and the mini golf course. We came from miles around (TN, NC, WVA) to celebrate a freindship that has stood the test of time. The porch got a lot of use between stories, coffee, beer and wine. The laughter moved to the paddle boat. Memories were revisited while floating in the water. New friends were added to the bunch. Evenings were filled with great meals and more laughter. We are sad our time here was too short! Your home is wonderful, very comfy and we loved the bath robes, nice touch! Love morning coffee on the back deck, drinks in the afternoon on the screened porch. We had lots of wildlife, it was fun seeing the beaver swim by! About the owner: We first visited Lake Lure with our Time Share unit we loved the area so much we soon bought a lot and built our first home within the resort. We enjoyed our home for a couple of years but with a growing family/kids were more demanding and we found ourselves staying in WI too much so we sold our 1st LL home. Years past and we felt the need to get back to our beloved Lake Lure. So we purchaced our 'Dragon Fly' in the Spring of 2011, we hope you enjoy Lake Lure, our home and the resort as much as we do!!
