This wonderful home has a great Joyful feel to it. Imagine relaxing on the lovely, large back deck enjoying the osprey and eagles playing and dipping into the Columbia River. Windsurfing and Kiteboarding are a few blocks away, as well as the Klickitat River Trail, where you can hike and mountain bike. The Gorge wineries are also very close. Lyle, Washington is a little piece of Heaven and close enough to Hood River to enjoy those amenities, but far enough away to enjoy the Lyle paradise.

Had a pleasant weekend in Lyle, WA--I would concur with previous person's review. House very well appointed, and perfect for 2 couples for 3 nights. Also agree with the recommendations re: shopping and restaurants, we did eat at the Lyle Hotel and were very disspointed in the food. Convenience store had staples but any major shopping should be done elsewhere. We enjoyed pizza at the Solstice Cafe in Bingen and it was fabulous. My only recommendation would be re: the deck as well, an umbrella would be helpful as deck is in the sun most of the day. It happened to be 103 one day while we were there, which is unusual, I know. This location worked well as were out and about most of the time. We visited wineries, spent the day in Hood River, shopping and visiting some of the locations on the Fruit Loop map. We would stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

This house has fantastic views of the Columbia River and the Oregon cliffs near the east end of the Gorge. The house is nice inside; however, the deck overlooking the river needs some work. Kitchen was easy to use and the beds/baths were fine. If you go to Lyle, make sure to do your shopping in Hood River. There's really no grocery store in town and no restaurants to speak of. Recommend Hood River or White Salmon (Everybody's Brewing was really good). For the price we were satisfied.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

I love Lyle. It is quaint and close enough to Hood River to enjoy the vibe there, yet far enough away that you can feel like you can really let your hair down and relax...totally!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I love just staring out at the water, picking up the binoculars and finding unusual birds. I also love to watch the kiteboarders and windsurfers. I love to walk a couple of blocks down the road and arrive at the Klickitat River Trailhead - Wow! This place is such a hidden treasure!
