We loved our stay at Reda's cabin in Torrey! The place was very clean and cozy. It's about as close to Capital Reef National Park as you can get. Less than a 10 minute drive to the visitors center. The place is very easy to find. We enjoyed having a full kitchen to cook meals in after staying in hotels the first part of our trip. There was even a brand new refrigerator (pro tip: stop in Loa for groceries). We had all the pots/pans/utensils we needed. Beds were super cozy. There was a nice place to make a fire in the living room. Lots of fun pictures & antiques decorated the cabin. We definitely won't stay anywhere else if we make it back to Torrey.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Coming to Torrey has always been a treat. This was the first time we had stayed so close to town as we had heard good things about Reda's Cabin. We were not disappointed, it was all we expected, and more. After 5 days we still had things left we wanted to do and the cabin was so comfortable and nice to be in we could have stayed another week at least. We hiked from the cabin, explored familiar and new places just a short drive away, went to Capitol Reef several times, relaxed on the deck and chatted with Reda who suggested even more places we didn't know about. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The grounds were well tended and beautiful and Reda was handy when we wanted something but did not intrude on our privacy. We would, with enthusiasm, recommend the property to friends and family. I would not recommend the cabin for any one who has trouble walking. The stairs are steep and there are some differences in elevation that may be troublesome,Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Wonderful, quaint cabin with every amenity in a very quiet part of Torrey. Lovely views of the mountains from the porch, flowers, hummingbirds, double rainbows on rare rainy days makes this part of the world just amazing. The owner (Reda) is very nice - thanks Reda! We had a very relaxing stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This charming cottage is just off the main road and very close to the town conveniences but it’s far enough from town giving you the peace of being in the country. Just around the corner (a short walk) from the cottage is a lovely restaurant called Casa Diablo – the chef is a graduate of the well-known Culinary Institute of America in New York. The cottage is wonderfully cozy with a great view of the mountains. It accommodated five of us comfortably. It is well-stocked and had everything that we needed for our 2-day stay. The décor is eclectic and artistic and she has some wonderful vintage campers on her property that add to the charm of her place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nights at this cabin/home near our favorite Utah hiking park. The cabin was unique and comfortable with many interesting aspects. The grounds surrounding the cabin provided a quiet and serene environment for relaxing. The scenery from the cabin was awesome as were the small herd of deer that regularly visited in the evenings. Although we only briefly interacted with Reda she was a gracious hostess who made sure we could contact her as needed. We would definitely stay at her home again and would recommend it to others as an ideal place to relax and as a base for exploration of this area of Utah.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Listing & photos accurate, cabin clean & well-maintained, owner available & helpful without being intrusive, close to Capitol Reef & an excellent restaurant --- planning to return next year with spouse. We four hikers thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the funky-artistic furnishings of the cabin. We took advantage of the deck to enjoy the mountains, sunrises & sunsets and simply to relax after a long day of hiking. Kitchen, while small, was well stocked with equipment and some food basics; it was perfect for our needs. Upstairs master bedroom lovely with its own little deck. Be sure to read the guest book (entries begin in '50's) and, also, the pamphlet about the lodging.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

If you want to feel the countryside of Torrey, this is it. House is very rustic with everything you need. Don't forget to read the owners handbook which has the internet password! I don't watch TV and sitting on the back porch for morning coffee or evening wine was as beautiful as anywhere your going stay and incredibly private. Location is at far end of town down a road with little traffic. Sitting on the porch makes it hard to leave. Capital Reef is a short drive away with great hiking. Reda's house sit's on 5 acres. Neighbors are way in the distance if you see any. A five minute walk up the road takes you to one of the best restaurants in the area. Super relaxing and easy to enjoy. Highly recommended! Great location to Bike from too!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Pros: Very cozy. Has a nice, lived-in feel. Close to "downtown" but still feel like you're away. Clean. The owner is great to work with. She's very accommodating. Cons: No wireless internet. Kitchen is kinda small. Beds are OK. Bathroom shower works but isn't great. No soap (good thing I brought my own). Creepy looking trailer parked right next to the cabin. I kind of felt like I was staying in someone else's house the whole time. Didn't want to hang out there too long. We might go back to this cabin again just because it was so cheap.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hello, thanks so much for the review. Hope the fishing was good as I tried to get some inside information for you. Sorry you missed the soap, on advice from many other rentals, I use liquid soap in dispensers in bathrooms.. There is an extensive binder with all cabin info that contains the password for the high speed internet. I realize I should put an information plaque on the vintage 1957 travel trailer. It is one in my collection and always available for travelers to view and use. Happy Trails

Wow, what a peaceful place with such evidence of lots of TLC. Your gardens are wonderful... We love being on the deck and feeling the wind --- good to not forget how noisy the city is... We loved exploring Capitol Reef, our favorite was driving to and hiking Upper Muley Twist Canyon.. Spectacular.. This way the perfect way to enjoy our anniversary and hope to take some of the peace and calm back home. We hope to be back soon.. This time with our dog.. With Much Happiness and gratitude..Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was our last stop on a whirlwind vacation which began in Sundance, down to Moab on the Manti LaSal mountains, and then your house. Along the way,we got engaged..We ate alot, hiked alot many many places and ended up at your wonderful cabin. Sadly, we must go back to Ohio tomorrow, thanks so much for the beautiful accommodations, we love your decorations and gardens. Peace and love.. Suzanne and ScottDid you find this review helpful? About the owner: I found Torrey and knew it was the land I loved.. and still love. It is a farming/tourist economy with some of the most genuine folks you would love to meet. My love of landscaping and the love of compliments made me realize how much I like to share. This property is our primary residence and we always welcome ideas on how to make it even more cozy. There is a grounds keeper on site during most of the year. Welcome home and enjoy.
Why the Owner Chose Torrey:
This was purchased to be a home.. It is now a vacation rentals, as work takes me away from the most beautiful place on the planet.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The quiet and more quiet.. The wildlife and birds. The most spectacular views.
